The Story
Once upon a time in the prosperous kingdom of Wonderland, the royal family gave birth to three children. The eldest was a son whom became known by the people as The Happy Prince. Then came the twin princess, Julian and Jade. Upon their birth The Blue Fairy blessed the royal family’s household with one wish for each child. Years passed and as the Happy Prince was about to come of age, he made the first wish. “I wish for my Kingdom to always be happy while I am king.” Unfortunately the beloved Happy prince was killed by consumption before he was able to become king. The king and queen of Wonderland were then tasked with deciding whom the crown would fall to, Julian or Jade. When it became know that the king and queen were going to choose Julian, the eldest daughter by one minute, Jade became furious. In a fit of rage the young princess decided to use her one wish, and had Julian banished to the cold recesses of the northern plains. During her banishment Julian’s resentment towards her twin sister slowly froze her once loving and tender heart. She then began to build a kingdom of her own, the White Kingdom, and adorned the title of the Snow Queen. Now twenty years have passed and with the aid of her poisonous black ink, the Snow Queen is now prepared to retake her rightful thrown and seek revenge upon her loving sister. . |

Five years of wondering aimlessly with in the forest might have changed him. History: Sebastian was raised a spoiled prince to the kingdom of Lyngve. Upon his 16th Birthday, he was given a Bride. However Sebastian childishly refused his responsibilities. Seeing this the Blue Fairy decided to punish Sebastian by cursing him and his kingdom. His people soon became malformed creatures that reflected their true nature. Some became goblins opting to defected to the Snow Queens kingdom, others became fairies and sprites that now inhabit the Lost Forest. Sebastian was also cursed to be come a beast by the blue fairy, however the spell would be broken upon finding his true love or humility which ever came first. Sebastian’s time as a beast switches with the moon, some times he is beast only at night others it is all hours of the day. Appearance: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Picture291.jpg ]User: Mirror Gardens Character Basis: Little Red Riding Hood Name: Red Age: 18 Personality: Serious, quiet and quite often unsympathetic. History: Red is a freelance rogue who will take on almost any job so long as the price is right. With unknown origins Red travels the nations with her faithful companion Sasha, a small white wolf plushie that changes into a large white wolf when summoned, searching for jobs. Appearance: http://i552.photobucket.com/albums/j...JerryCai-1.jpg User: Funkduder Character Basis: Captain Hook Name: Captain Averad de Jaquez Age: 25 Personality: Self-Confident almost to the point of arrogance, but he hasn't lost a battle in his campaign yet. His confidence is only matched by his intellect, but he has a harder time understanding the feelings of others and compromising. It was for this reason that he dueled his mentor, Captain Toshiro Taketa, and took his position when denied a position as first mate. History: Captain Jaquez commanded one of the faster, albeit lighter ships of its time, The Wasp under the Red Kingdom. When the economic depression hit the kingdom, Jaquez mutinied against the kingdom, renamed his ship The Jolly Roger and became a prestigious mercenary captain (and smuggler). Other:He still has his hand. Appearance: User: Lunaryon Character Basis: Alice in Wonderland Name: Alicia Age: 17 Personality: Shattered History: Alicia was a good child in Wonderland, before the brutal rape of her mother and then murder of both. Having been forced to watch both, poor Alica's mind was warped beyond repair. Having learned in one of her moments of mental clearity that her parents murderer was sent by the red queen, Alicia has sworn vengence. With her fractured mind comes a frightening power. Alicia can call forth and bring her Imaginary friends out into the real world, and can drive weak minds to insanity with a touch. Appearance: User: Quiet Man Cometh Character Basis: Croc from Peter Pan Name: Agrath Age: ?? Personality: disinterested, feral, sarcastic. History: A resident since birth of the salt water swampy regions of the Lost Kingdom, Agrath spent her life there, doing what she would call "living" which thus far has meant entrenching her place as the top predator of the area, and overall enjoying herself. She is quite content to let the machinations of other species and their politics and socially constructed living arrangemnts pass her by. She number ships and people among her chosen prey. What can be said to her favour is that she rarely kills more than she can eat. Locals and superstitious sailors dangle chunks of meat hanging from the bulkwark and sometimes found clawmarks in their hull. The stubborn or unwary did not and sometimes found themeselves short one crew member. Agrath intends to stay right where she is, something of a legend to the local coastal and swamp populations and overall plague to traders and caravans. Appearance: (Will dig up a pic when I can). While some mistakenly believe that Agrath is half-human, the truth is that she is a crocodile with human features. She stands upright but leans forward slightly, her long tail dragging on the ground behind her unless she chooses to use it. Her armoured skin is motled green, black, and brown, and is ligher under her throat and on her belly. It is darkest on her back where she has a sharp ridge of scales that run along her spine. Her eyes are brown and reptillian and her webbed hands and feed still have digits extending beyond the webbing allowing her to manipulate anything a humanoid would be capable of. She wears no clothes for covering but does have a belt of pouches and a bandolier to carry the few objects around that she bothers herself with.[/QUOTE] User: Kalei Character Basis: Thumbelina Name: Marie Age: 156, but looks 9 Personality: Marie’s somewhat wise because of her age, but she tends stubborn and convinced she is right most of the time. She was granted the power to shrink and a 1000 year lifespan in exchange for saving a witches life when she was a child. Because of her power, she will sometimes offer to spy for the Red Queen for extra money. She has trouble dealing with people because of the discrepancy between her age and her appearance, so she spends most of her free time small so she won‘t be bothered by anyone. Marie prefers to spend her time with plants no matter if they are inside or outside of the palace walls. Due to the amount of time spent in the gardens she has picked up some knowledge of herbs. The captain desk was unusually messy according to first mate, Shmee, who was also in charge of the ship’s log. Even to the men on board the The Jolly Roger, knew that many battles lay ahead of them, and if they were to survive to drink once more, they had to make sure that the captain, and they themselves, were in good health. The captain who sat behind the desk slammed his hands on the desk. He was frustrated, faced with a choice that proved to be haunting him even as he took pleasure drinking his special brand of whiskey.
Tacked to the wall, there were two letters, and almost as though there was a line between the two letters which extend on to his desk, papers were scattered about. Situation were played and replayed. The potential of certain allies and the ability to persuade them was marked on packets contain every bit of information he had on each person who would play a role in the upcoming and inevitable war. The letter on the left, from the Kingdom of Wonderland, promised forgiveness, and reinstatement as captain of The Wasp. “It was the Jolly Roger,” remarked the captain. Could he trust those buggers? “I’ve out-smarted them again and again over the years? Are they really that forgiving?”The letter on the right was from The White Kingdom in the north, was a promise of power, and true land and all the riches he could possibly want. “It’s too good to be true, even for an infamous captain. Who would win between the two? Who should I side with?”Then Averad turned his mind to Red, the infamous red mirage, who was supposedly more skilled with any weapon than any of his men despite being a woman. “Where was her alliance going to lie?” he thought. He pondered these thoughts heavily when the ship rocked, abruptly, as if they hit a reef. “Captain!” First Mate Shmee rang in. “Some sort of iron net has been caught on our rudder!” “Lower the sails, and get a crew down to untangle the anchor,” said Captain Jaquez. Shmee moved out of the cabin and the Captained followed, grabbing his sword and pistol in the process. “Standard protocol,” he reminded himself. Walking out to the bow, he borrowed the navigator’s telescope and looked forward. The wind brushed against his ears and blew the ends of his coat behind him as Averad spotted land ahead of him. The flag hoisted on the shore gave evidence that this was a port of Wonderland, a decent place to raid, due to the crisis at hand. The Red Queen will not notice so long as their own flag remains lowered. “Captain!” Shmee cried. “There’s a ship approaching from the rear!” “Come Shmee. It is time we have a nice chat with the ones who may have trapped us in this Iron net,” The captain said, handing the telescope back to the navigator. |
The moon light danced between the trees allowing just enough light for, the young beast keen eyes to see any shape that lay hidden from him. As quietly as a mouse he stalked, it while it unsuspectingly rested on its long flight from the east. Quickly, he pounced on the bird trapping it with in his powerful jaws before he felt its life drain completely from its wiggling limbs. Years ago Sebastian would have been disgusted by this act of barbarism, but now it was only known as dinner.
Once he finished devouring the warm flesh, the beast wandered through out the night pausing a river to bath himself. The river reflected in the moon light what had become of him and his people. Behind him he could see nothing but vast over grown weeds entangled with trees. Somewhere scattered among the forest floor was his people. He sat in the river letting the water was over him. Sebastian felt a little hopeless about his current situation. During the day he felt almost too weak to travel, and at night he knew he was merely traveling in circles. Even equipped with the senses of the king of the jungle was not enough to help him find his way out of the forest. It felt good to be wallowing in self pity; it was one of the few last vestiges of selfishness that the prince felt he could afford as a luxury. While doing so, Sebastian used his claws to untangle a lot of his matted fur. Some small part of him joked about his future 'love' being displeased with a beast that was unkempt. Once his reflection mirrored satisfaction the prince found himself curiously following the river downstream, towards the base of a mountain range. His paws drifted onwards without instruction from his brain. Eventually his young bones throbbed with a particular ache as sun awoke over the horizon. Sebastian soon found himself drifting beside the river bank in his bipedal form. He slumped against a tree his body refusing what it had not digested from his adventure during the night. He felt himself falling against the bark into a tired sleep. |
Reeed…Reeeeed….WAKE UP!! Red groaned slightly and rolled over. However she jolted awake when she realized she very nearly rolled off the branch she had decided to camp in the previous night. That’s what you get for sleeping in trees. What ever happened to sleeping in good old fashioned caves? The girl ignored the lecturing voice as she sat up and began stretching out her arms and back. Once she felt she had gotten the majority of knots out of her back, she surveyed the ground. Red tried to recall which forest she had wandered into, but she and Sasha had been traveling for nearly three weeks without any sight of life outside the normal wild creatures that inhabited forests. I’m hungry woman…how about letting me devour that rather malnourished boy beneath us. Raising an eyebrow, Red leaned over the branch and spotted the man. Grabbing her basket and shoving the rather talkative stuffed wolf back inside before jumping down from the branch. Landing quietly on her bare feet she stared at the unconscious man before walking over to him. He really did look malnourished…and judging from his state of dress she doubted he had anything worth taking. Walking a bit closer she saw that he was still breathing. She contemplated leaving him there, but then again there was always the chance that he knew where the nearest village was. She was in need of a job and she doubted any of the wild animals would be able to afford her rates. Closing the distance between them, she rolled him over with her foot before kicking him softly in the side. “Wake up.”
|
Breathe, just Breathe… at least some part of his conscious mind was telling him that. His thoughts nagged him about going back to sleep with in the deepest recesses of his mind but he stayed in the nice little limbo of rem sleep until a voice commanded that he wake up. With a grunt Sebastian rolled over to his other side, away from the pain that hit his side. “No” Part of him thought the voice was his subconscious desperate attempt at social interaction, the other part of him that was still a prince said that he was to be commanded by no one, not even himself. He curled into a ball ignoring the pain and continued to slumber though much more lightly then before. His eyes shot open. For a moment he stared out into the wilderness. Someone was talking to him. Sebastian thought he had gotten past such delusions. Who would willingly traverse into his realm in its current state? Squinting against the early morning light he turned over against his better judgment. Great, the grim reaper has donned red just for my royal blood. He grunted again deciding that dying asleep was not the worse way to go.
|
Red watched as the boy rolled over and grumbled out a simple ‘no.’ She was about to kick him awake again when his eyes suddenly shot back open. He stared at her a moment before letting out a grunt and going back to sleep. Looking down at the boy she found herself quickly growing bored, so she kicked him again. “Get up…or I’ll let Sasha eat you.” With that said she pulled the little white doll from her basket.
Yes, I shall enjoy the meal…even if he is a bit on the sickly looking side. Red rolled her hood covered eyes at the plushie’s comment. For a stuffed animal the creature was insatiable at times. |
Now he was in pain on bothside. He hissed at the person attacking him. Sebastian opened his eyes again, the young girl was threatening him with a … he looked at it again, yes a stuffed animal. Clearly he was dreaming, he was so socially deprived that he was dreaming that a giant mass of red fabric was threatening him with a plushy. He mused about indulging in the dream. With a heavy sigh he weakly propped himself up using his elbow. The young prince gave his attacker a measured look realizing he wasn’t dreaming but perhaps the person was just as lost as he was and had gone mad from seeing so much foliage. It was too bad he couldn’t have her committed or arrested for the violence against him. “Morning meal?” He asked. Then the air around filled with the strange sound of laughter. It was something the mysterious forest had not heard for a long time at least coming from the prince. “Yes I think I’ll make great fodder for grandma stuffums there. Its so cute, do I need to grind my intestines to baby food?” The prince had to silence himself, it started to hurt to laugh and talk. He needed water.

Captain Averad approached the captain who was going through a long speech about the time it took to track him down and to now finally trap him and arrest him for betraying Wonderland so long ago.
"It is only a matter of time before the crew untangles the anchor. I'll get Shmee to unfurl the sails while I distract this captain, here," planned the captain of The Jolly Roger. After whispering his orders to Shmee, he approached the captain, a man named Cortez. "So you apperantly captured the infamous captain of The Jolly Roger, did you now? Tell me Captain Cortez: do you fear death?" "Why of course not, unlike you, pirate scum," he spat. "I am a conquistador and I-" "Good, then why don't we play a little game? The price on my head is worth more to Wonderland alive than dead. Draw your sword and throw it at me. If you can knock the hat off of my head or kill me, then I will surrender. If not, you will surrender to me one piece of cargo on your ship, which I require for later travels." One of the sailors on Cortez's ship nearly snapped at such a request, but he was stopped by Cortez who said, "This deal works out better for my men, and for me," he said. Kneeling down he said a quick prayer: "Lord, by your cross, let my blade fly true and do justice onto this man." "Kneeling before me will not change the conditions of our little game, when you lose." At this he finally snapped, and threw the blade at Captain Jaquez. However, although it looked as though he would hit The Jolly Roger's Captain, the boat rocked almost abruptly. Someone had loosened the cargo in the hold and it gave more momentum to the movements of the sea. "You have failed to strike me, Captain Cortez. Give me the map to El Dorado," said Captain Jaquez. "If he had any once of pride, he would meet my demands," Averad thought. "However, he did not expect to lose, so he will not be that type of man today. "You!!!! CHEATER!!!!" Captain Cortez snapped angrily at Averad. Cortez drew his pistol, cocking the gun and lighting the fuse for it, but before he could fire, Averad drew his gun which was already prepared, and shot his gun, rendering it useless. "You have lost to me, Captain Cortez, both in my game and in yours. BEGONE!" Averad yelled, and The Jolly Roger sailed off, the anchor finally untangled. Pulling his opponent's sword from the mast, he realized how good of an arm Cortez had. "If he had hit my hat, it would be ruined. If he hit me..." "Shmee!" Captain Jaquez called to his first mate. "We're going to shore. We need to repair the ship and I need to seek out someone in the Lost Kingdom" "Yes, of course, captain," Shmee said, dutifully. |
At the stern of the ship there was a brief splash as something dropped into the water. She wasn't sure if they heard her or not but she didn't worry. She would be long gone into the reedy shallows soon enough. She had started to lose her appetite for these people listening to their banter back and forth about this that and the other. One wanted to kill another, something about justice and travelling a long way for it. El Dorado she knew; she heard the locals talk about it all the time; El Dorado, the city of gold, the path to riches, the pinacle of ancient wonder, the gold, the riches and this, that and the other. So someone finally found the map to it. That was nice. The gator hovered horizontally several feet below the surface of the water, her eyes flicking only briefly to the ship's hull she heard the anchor chain being pulled up.
Oh well. She stretched beneath the water and wedged herself along the keel of the ship as it started to move, feeling about for the places she new generated enough of a back-eddy to allow her sit nicely and coast with the vessel. The water here was too cold, and she was still peckish. Perhaps when she got closer to shore she would find something less boney than humans to chew on. |
A day after landing on shore, Captain Averad de Jaquez took First Mate Shmee and headed to the Poison Apple, the local pub, leaving the men on idle time duty, meaning that as long as they checked in every one or two nights, they were free to do as they wished.
The barman at the pub only confirmed the rumors that came to Captain Jaquez: Red was, indeed seen, going inside the Lost Kingdom. It was a fearful place to go through alone, but for the sake of stealth, and for that matter security from the Red Queen and the Snow Queen, he brought none of his crew members. Shmee was left to tend to the ships repairs, and after checking his two weeks worth of rations, he wandered in to the dark overgrowth inland that was the Lost Kingdom. (I'm making the asumtion that Wonderland borders at least part of the Lost Kingdom, so plz correct me if I'm wrong and I'll make some edits.) |
*Warning - not proofread. Too tired :p
Agrath was pleased to have finally reached the waters of her home, and spent a good while simply floating an relishing in the warmer water. When the ship's crew began milling about in the hold, she decided to find a place with more peace and quiet and to look for a meal. Lightly propelling herself to shore with her tail, she crawled out of the water on all fours, waiting until she reached the tree line to stand up, her tail leaving a long slick in the ground between the wet prints of her feet. Small tributaries of the main river that ran through the kindgom collected in mock deltas and small ponds, and in one such pond Agrath had set up was would pass for a den. She laid back now, casually, with her head propped on her arms, crossed behind her head, and one foot toeing the water of the pond by which she lay. Her eyes were closed and she had her teeth bared in a wide, satisfied grin, small tidy birds picking away he remnants of flesh that were stuck between her teeth. As was her nature, she lay perfectly still, an odd jungle sculpture, more of interest to be found in the flies that were beginning to gather around the broken and split bones that lay in a pile beside the pond edge. |
(( ^^;; its not to the north of wonderland is the white kingdom. Behind that mountain range if the forest it curves around the mountain but only to the northeast of wonderland. I had hopped to have the map up by now but I haven't scanned it yet sorry ))
The prince stopped laughing and decided to ignore the girl. Her stuffy didn't seem to life threatening. Sebastian slowly crawled over to the river that he bathed in before he had fallen asleep earlier. He dipped his head into the water before lifting it just above the surface. While his lips tread the surface of the water he drink slowly. Sebastian didn't want to risk throwing up again. Drinking his fill of the refreshing liquid he returned his attention a back to the girl and her dangerious animal. "What is your name girl? And why are you in these woods?" |
Red stared at the boy blankly as his comments set Sasha into a fit of rage and ranting something about grinding particular parts of the guy’s anatomy into baby food and shoving them down his throat. She had a tendency to forget that no one could understand or even hear Sasha when he was in his stuffed animal form besides her. Having the rabid stuffy as her only companion for extended periods of time tended to do that…which probably explained her lack of social skills. Then again given her profession that was probably a good thing. “Do not call me girl…tell me what woods these are and perhaps I could answer that question.”
((So I have a question...if Red is lost, how does the Captain know where she is? O_o )) |
Sebastian sat crosslegged looking at the girl. "Well you haven't given me another proper noun to replace that with now have you." Shaking his
head he reminded himself that this was no time to be arguing with some one that might potientially help him. "And that is good question..." Sebastian stared up at the thick foliage of trees trying to remember which direction he traveled away from his castle but couldn't. He only knew that after a while he usually circled back to his home lands. "We are near the old kingdom of Lyngre and Rose, though never in my adventures have I come across the castle rose." Slowly the boy stood up from his spot near the stream. "Again I ask who are you and what are you doing here?" This time he was a bit more serious even though he was a fallen prince he wouldn't just have any one invade what little lands he had left. |
“Red. Near the old Kingdoms….It appears I have strayed further north than originally anticipated.” She had planned to be in wonderland within the next couple of days, but the scenic route has put her much more behind than she wanted. She had no use or time for forgotten kingdoms or half naked men in the woods. So with that bit of information from the boy, Red turned on her heel and started heading southwest towards Wonderland. Wait! Does this mean I can’t eat the insolent fool who made fun of me?!
|
((I edited to make it that you were seen going into the lost kingdom, mirror))
"It's hard to keep track of where I'm going in this forest," thought the captain as he climbed up the jungle tree for the third time that day. "Blast it!" he finally concluded, jumping back down. "If I don't find her today, I'm going to have to go back and start again somewhere else." "I underestimated this place. Trying to stay here for more than a few days will surely get a normal person lost. It lives up to it's name." Climbing down from the tree, Captain Jaquez readied himself to go back to the town...but not before he saw a hint of red coming from the jungle. |
Red? Simply a color. The prince watched the young lady walk off before deciding to follow her. This was the first time in a long time he had encountered a human that wasn't from his country. Wasn't effected by his stupidity and the curse that came with it. The young girl with the dangerous stuffy also mentioned something about going south. Sebastian wanted to take a chance. If he could get out of the woods by night fall she probably wouldn't be in danger from his curse. Silently the prince realized he had nothing to lose by following her. So he did.
(( HA we have mappage!! on the first page. )) |
Stop ignoring me!
Red continued to ignore the overly talkative stuffed animal. Continuing forward at a steady pace she hoped to be out of the forest by nightfall, or at the very least be near to exiting the woods by that time. He’s following us. ‘I am aware of this. He may do as he pleases so long as he does not try and slow us down.’ She could hear the plushie grumble some more in her head. It really seemed to have grown a great disliking to the boy. But so long as he did not do anything that would cause her unnecessary trouble, she could care less what he did. After an indiscernible amount of time, she noticed that the trees had begun to thin, if barely. Still it was an improvement and it meant that she just might be able to make if out of the forest by nightfall. |
Agrath is just chilling at the moment. Not sure where she would be in the world so far, but someplace reasonably tropical or not cold, and wet. There a spot that fits that?
|
(( Sure if you want to make it up let me know I'll put a dot on the map where it is. Pm me some thing about it and I will add it to the description list of places ))
|
The prince followed the Red clothed girl. She seemed agitated at something yet did not stop him from following her. As time passed Sebastian noticed the first thing he had not seen in a long time. The sky unfiltered from leaves. He had not realized how long he had journeyed behind the girl but the thinning woods said that it was getting close to-night. The prince felt a little coil of nerves wind tighter, "Have you been this way before? Do you think we will make a town by night fall?" He asked "Red?"
|
We?! I refuse to be associated with that rude human in such a familiar term as “we”!!
“I have not and I do not know. At the very least we should be clear of the forest come night.” I hate you. Red continued to ignore the plushie. As she continued forward she pulled an apple from her bag and began to eat. It had to have been a day at least since she had eaten, she had a tendency to forget such necessities when focused on something else. But since they were nearly out of the forest and closer to Wonderland with every step, it finally dawned on her to eat. Hey! Where’s my food! After a few moments, she reached back into her bag and pulled out another apple. She then tossed it behind her and at the boy. She could care less if he ate it, but at least she couldn’t be accused of not offering. This is animal abuse… Red simply rolled her eyes again. Sasha really could be overly talkative. 'You ate not long ago. An entire elk if I recall.' The stuffed animals response was to merely grumble in her head again, muttering something about a high metabolism. |
Sebastian scooped up the apple as he continued to follow the girl. It was a nice, every nice but it had been ages since he at anything other than meat. he doubted if he could hold the fruit down in his stomach. "Thank you" Sebastian said not forgetting his manners. For a moment he contemplated cleaning the apple off with his breeches but realized his soiled clothing was probably worse. He took a huge bite of the apple letting the sweet nectar wash over his taste buds. Sebastian started to wonder what he would do for money. Sure he trained in many royal skills but what good where they in the real world. The thought of begging made the sweet apple turn a little sour in his mouth. "Are you a thief" he asked between bites. If books could be judged by their covers, Sebastian had hopped he judged the girls right.
|
"Only when I'm paid to be one." Red answered the boy without turning to him. Her focus more or less returning to exiting the forest as she threw aside the apple core. If night fell before the reached the edge of the forest, she would be forced to make camp in a tree once again. Which she would very much prefer not to do. Trees were terribly uncomfortable.
Curious brat...why is he still following us. Better yet why are you letting him follow us and answering his questions... The irritation was still evident in Sasha's voice. Still Red had no answer to give him, so she remained silent. |
Revenge is a dish best served cold, and who better to serve it then the coldest heart in all the continent. The Queen rose from her bed holding out her arms as her attendances dressed her in a sheer robe with a iridescenced laced design. She said on the edge of her bed while the women combed her pure white hair into a tight pony tail that draped behind her back. Her crown was nothing more than a circlet with a moon pearl drop at the center of her for head. Once of her attendances scurried off to bring a mirror. Her brown eyes were dilated with the Queens own poison. Outwardly she functioned like a normal human being. Inwardly all her thoughts turned towards loyalty to the Julian... No Julian died the day her sisters wish exiled her from the kingdom. She was the Snow Queen. Rising from her seat she gave them a bitter smile of approval which both girls gladly gobbled up like candy at a festival.
Snow walked out of her room into the hallway of her castle. Most of her castle had been a vast expansive open hallway adorned with Corinthian column. The allowed for the perfect view of her lands. She passed by quickly this morning, Snow had a surprised announcement for her morning courts. It was time to unveil her plan. The seasons were turning towards winter. This year the lands would feel the cold in the Queens heart. She wanted to take back what was hers. When she arrived at her throne room she immediately got down to business talking as she walked to her chair. "My people it is time to return to glory. To long have we suffered in the shadow of the lowlanders. To long have we been mocked by their greed." The court nodded lisstly nodded, but some burst out in cheers. "General you have my blessing, you know the plan take the goblins to the trade routs around wonderland but don't get to close, my sister is a clever one. We shall slowly kill them from the outside in." She then turned to another powerful man among her entourage. "Admiral, ready the fleets at sea. Do not attack any pirates, for a strike against any wonderland trading vessel is a strike for us. Secretly tie wonderland in our nets. On the first of WInter I shall unveil part two of our plan. As for now go my people ravage the land, Do it for us." |

The hint of red disappeared as the Averad blinked suddenly. "What was that?" he thought. Walking over to the hint of red that he saw, he looked right and left and up and...down at his feet, was an apple core. Averad bent down to pick up the apple core as he looked around. It looked fresh to him. "Hello," Averad called to the open wild. "Is anyone there?" |
Marie breathed in the town’s air and walked along the worn cobbled roads of the town. There was a distinct odor under all the usual town smells. 'This town must be near the Enchanted Forest' thought Marie. She had already reported her findings to the Red Queen with her crystal ball, and requested to stay a while longer. The Queen consented reluctantly, but Marie had her reasons. 'my gut tells me something is going on' she thought. Marie had long learned to trust her instincts, so In her normal child-sized form she decided to head for a place to listen for any unusual rumors.
'That'll do', Marie thought as she spotted a pub. She moved silently, her traveling cloak barely rustling. Marie briefly detoured to a deserted alleyway. 'would be trouble if someone saw me change' she thought. Once she was two inches tall Marie made the rest of her trek to the pub, being careful to avoid the puddles and not get stepped on. The pub, called the Laughing Sally, was the perfect place to gather information. Kind of shady, where the patrons were questionable, but could trusted somewhat because they weren't desperate for money. 'people have loose lips once they downed a pint or two of ale' Marie smiled to herself as she crept around the room. All she had to do was stay hidden and keep an ear out for the right conversation. |
Sebastian heard something vaguely like human voices as he walked. He still held on to the apple no longer having the appetite for it. The young prince felt like he was being paranoid hearing voices. It was only because he'd finally met a human again. The first one in nearly 4 years. That wasn't his only concern however. The trees were slowly starting to dwindle and just beyond them the prince could see lush country side. Rolling hills of farm lands decorated with spots of animals that mooed in a harmonious symphony. Unfortunately for him the sun was going to sleep just beyond the horizon. He looked at the back of Red's head as she continued along her path. In the distance he could see a small cloister of lights. Biting his lips he said to her but more to himself. “Then I will have to pay you later.” As soon as the last rays of the light disappeared, Sebastian felt his bones aching, shifting. The small hairs on his skin started to resemble something like fur and before he knew it, Sebastian felt his body shift into a more naturally comfortable four legged position..
Using a hind leg he kicked the fabric around his legs till he was free. Then in one bite he swallowed the apple that he neglected to eat. Trotting behind the smell of dirt, lilies and cotton. The nerves in his stomach wound into a tight coil. This would be the first time since his curse that he would be around humans, as a beast. He was really to hungry and tired to fend off a mob. Sebastian paused siting in the path way. “I don't suppose just for tonight I could be your pet?” The young Prince hopped that he wasn't speaking in growls. |
Red paused to look around briefly. She could have sworn she heard someone other than the boy following her. But before she could pinpoint where she heard the voice come from she heard a series of animalistic rumbling behind her. Turning around she found herself looking at a rather large lion. “…I wasn’t aware beasts like you were indigenous to the forest…”
This...this is too good!! The distinct sound of barking laughter rang out through her head as Sasha laughed uncontrollably. After a while the wolf doll finally calmed down enough to explain to her what just happened. The freaking kid turned into a lion! This is hilarious. Even more he wants to be your pet!!! The wolf continued his laughing as Red studied the beast before her. Letting out a sigh, she turned back around and continued walking towards the village near the edge of the forest. “I don't care. But if you're going to be my pet, I suppose you will need a name…Sasha is suggesting Fluffykins.” |
A growl rang out through the forest. It sounded like a man's growl slowly mixing with the growl of a creature he knew nothing of. Lifting his sword, Averad cut at the vines that were in his way.
"Although it will make some noise, it the only path that leads towards where he saw the apple come from." But as soon as he cleared the vines away, he wished he hadn't. In front of him stood, around his own height, a beast, a creature which he could not identify. "By god..." |
Alicia smiled, staring at the man across from her. Oh how she wanted to just reach out and touch him, the colors he breathed were so pretty, but if she did he would be tainted, and then the pretty blues and greens would be replaced with ugly greys and blacks, suddenly the man started to move, and sounds came out, "Hello there little lady" He said, as the man came closer "What is a girly like you doing in a place like this?" Eyes wide, she looked to each side, "Who me?" she asked, raising a hand to her breast, "I'm just waiting for my brother to get done with his job in the next village." The man's smile suddenly changed, becoming the smile of a predator, and the colors he breathed where tinged with oily darkness, "Then maybe you could stay a while with me?" He asked, stepping close, Alicia was sad, he looked like he was one of the good ones, but he was like all the others, bright on the surface, but dark in the core, removing one glove, she reached out, and lightly touched the man, as he began to convulse the colors dimming and darkening, finally she let go and he fell to the ground screaming and muttering, looking around Alicia smiled as once again no one saw what sh... A dolly that breathes colors? A smile crossed her face, and she moved, putting her glove back on, and sitting down in front of the Dolly. "Hi there Magic Dolly!"

The doors of the throne room were pushed open as a knight in well polished scarlet armor strode in, the intricatly designed golded spade symbol on his chest signifying his rank and importance. Making his way to the throne he removed his helmet and before it. His handsome face held a serious expression as he looked up at the inhabitant of the throne. “My Queen, scouts from the edge of the White Witches realm have reported that there has been movement amongst the goblins. The messages sent from the scouts have been vague, but it is clear that they have become uneasy with the recent activity. Perhaps it is time we finally did away with the Witch. My Queen allow me carve my way into her lands and bring you her head on a pike and put an end to her pitiful plotting against your Excellency!”
“…Do you love me Spade?” Slowly opening her deceitfully gentle chocolate colored eyes, Jade stared down at the man before her. Her passive tone sent chills down the knights back as he stared up into her beautiful face delicately framed by gentle waves of black silk. There was no doubt in his mind that the exquisite woman before him was the true and rightful Queen. How the White Witch could dare call herself a queen filled him with a passionate rage. “Yes my Queen and I shall continue to love you until the very last breath has left my deceased body!” Jade laughed, a cold and merciless sound. Of course he loved her. She was the true Queen, the only one deserving of love and praise. Looking at the man before her, she could see that he clearly believed what he spoke. And why shouldn’t he? She was well worth dying for after all. In one elegant motion, the Red Queen stood from her thrown and stepped towards him, her extravagant gold and crimson gowns train flowing daintily behind her. Stopping before the knight, she leaned down and placed a soft kiss to the man’s head. “Then” gripping the back of the man’s hair she jerked his head back and peered into his eyes with an emotionless glare, “do not presume to give me orders.” Flinging the knight away from her, she sent him sprawling to the floor, his armor creating a loud acoustic ringing throughout the large room. Returning to her throne, she stood there for a moment before turning back around to gaze down at the startled knight. A cruel smile curling on her luscious ruby tinted lips. “You will not touch my dear sister’s realm. No, you shall head to the village near the outskirts of the Lost Forest. My darling Marie had… requested to stay there. Her time is up. Bring her back. As for my sister…send out another knight, no rather, send one of the villagers to offer her a peace treaty informing her that I wish an audience with my dear beloved sister.” Sitting back down on her throne, she smirked as the knight quickly stood and bowed, “Yes my Queen!” and then rushed out of the room to attend to her wishes. |
‘Damn,’ thought Marie, “she saw me.” Marie had stepped out of her hiding place behind some empty mugs when things looked like they were going in a bad direction with the man and the white-haired girl. It was late and no one else was present, except the pub owner, who was keeping busy. It turned out though, that the girl could take care of herself quite well.
Marie didn’t say anything for a few seconds when the girl came over to greet her. This girl could kill her without any trouble, so Marie chose her words carefully. If she told the truth (or at least only what was necessary) she might kill her for being a witness, but maybe she would let Marie live since they were both ‘special’. If she lied she risked angering the girl if Marie was exposed as a fraud, which could get her killed. ‘But they are harder to keep up with than the truth’, she thought. “I am not a dolly.” Marie corrected the girl, “ I am just a girl who can change her size.” Marie quickly looked to see if the owner was watching, then hopped from the table, to the chair, to the floor, where She resumed her regular size. “see” ,Marie said smiling at the white haired girl. |
