LLU || Literature Lovers Unite [Come chat!]
L L U [ Literature Lovers Unite ] Welcome to LLU! A place for all the literature lovers of Trisphee to congregate and discuss all things literature. While the term "literature" is pretty much reserved for things such as novels, poems, plays, etc., it is fine to talk about any sort of written work here, including the writing in graphic novels, songs, and whatever else you can think of! If you love to read, write, or just admire the written word you are welcome here! ♥ |
Rules Here are some rules to follow. Don't wanna know what a bag of books on your head feels like? Follow them. C: I. Follow Trisphee's ToS and basic rules. II. Be considerate of your fellow reader. We all have our own tastes so don't hate on someone else's. III. Let's keep this thread mostly PG-13 shall we? I am not scared of swear words myself but excessive use of them is idiotic. IV. This hangout is about literature, so I expect you to have a bit of literacy. V. Respect everyone in here. We should all know how to be civil. VI. Literary debates are fine and welcome, but again, let's have a little civility and keep it as a debate, not an argument. VII. More rules may be added. |

Make me! xD Idk I like reading but not as much as any other person. >.> |
♥ o u o Haha I've always been a pretty big reader. ^^ And right now I have a bunch of books that need to be read. U: |
This smells like a place I'd like XD I looove reading. I'm a sci fi/fantasy kind of person :3
|
♥ That is great! 8D Yep, I tend to lean towards the fantasy realm as well. If it's not a fantasy book then it'll be a mystery book most of the time. :O |
I was into mystery for a bit when I was around 14-16. I read a ton of young adult mysteries.
Who're your favorite authors? |
♥ Hmmm, well I guess a few authors I really enjoy are... Cassandra Clare (the mortal instruments series and junk ♥), Rick Riordan although I didn't enjoy The Red Pyramid as much, John Saul (super awesome horror/mysteries). I'm still branching out to find some really good authors so I don't have a ton yet. xD What about you? |
My top favorites are Robin Hobb and Tamora Pierce <3 There are so many it's hard to keep count XD
Do you like to reread favorites? |
♥ Yup. I actually haven't reread any in a while but that's because I have a lot that I need to read now. ^^; |
-rolls around in excitement- Wewt! Meteor Shower Tonight!!! xD Now I need to find out the hour. P:
|
♥ Whoa really? :O |
Ya found out a moment ago in the news. P:
|
♥ Cool. :D Where all can you see it? |
What all is on your reading list right now?
|
♥ Let's see... - The Lab by Jack Heath - Renegade (The Lost Books series) by Ted Dekker - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson - The Last Child by John Hart - Behemoth by Scott Westerfield - The Maze Runner by James Dashner - Deadly Sanctuary by Sylvia Nobel So ya... a lot. xD And I'm already into three of them. |
You do have a long line up!
|
What about you?
Got a list of things you need to read? |
Not really at the moment. Had a bit of a dry spell lately. I need something gripping to drag me back XD
|
Gripping? Well I could tell you that one that I'm reading right now, The Maze Runner, is pretty interesting. :O
|
Oh really? What's it about?
|
Well... basically this guy wakes up and finds himself in this weird place. Dozens of other boys live there and there's this maze that they have to get out of...
I'm bad at explaining things sorry. xD;; |
(btw, if you put html instead of code in the tags around the form, it will show the styling codes for copypasting C: )
Read Me!... Well, that's my first entry. x3 <3 I am going to add more later on. ^^ Other than that, I love reading. C: I have read many books and I have wide range of favorite books. Some of them are hard to suggest, because they are not in English or their translation in it is bad, but I will try to list some later. ^^ |
Omg thank you! D8
I was annoyed about that, I shall fix it. U: Also, thanks for the recommendation Rainy. ^^ I will post that up soon. |
