so i watched someone play don't starve the other day

was it fun? the game can be a bit hard and alienating to get into as a result of it essentially being a roguelite game.

i kind of want to play it but it is so cruel and unfair that i couldn't justify playing it. normally i just look for qol mods as a backup but i couldn't really find many mods for that game and certainly none that would help me

it's generally like that for the first few attempts. at some point you get used to it and learn boss / miniboss patterns.

yeah but i have limited time and limited motor functions. i cannot afford to throw away dozens of hours of my life away for a chance at eventually having fun, you know?

i'd say that don't starve together is a bit more forgiving than the original, as multiplayer is supported.

there's ways to get around having to confront the deerclops on winter, day 30.

I love dst .... I also tweak the settings to make it nicer to me xD

yeah, you can also tweak settings.

there's a few mods out there for QoL, but idk if all of them have Don't Starve ports.

valid. i do sort of wish the game was more accessible. the insanity effects can cause eyestrain in some, plus lightning flashing.

i don't have any songs stuck in my head for the moment, which is sort of rare for me. usually it goes to elevatorstuck.

Yup! I love Flowergame. Don't trade much, but the little flower sprites are very very pretty. Except the Audreys. They're just cool.

i'm on DragonCave (still) and MagiStream for critter games

I never managed to stay on either of those. Which is strange, since I'm still going strong on 'Chicken Smoothie'. And half heartedly playing 'Gothicat World'.

i'm on kingdom of knuffel and occassionally goatlings. the cute factor is strong for me when it comes to critter games.

a lot of people don't like Dragon Cave because the critters can die. they don't on MagiStream though. :D

goatlings was suggested to me by a friend. owo.

I also play 'Xanje', and 'Flight Rising'. I really like that last one, because of all you can do with the dolls dragons.
