2017 Reading Challenge
I have been a part of a Reading Challenge thread for years and since there is none on Trisphee I thought to start one.
It is very simple, set a challenge for yourself: read 50 books, read only the books you have at home that you haven't read yet, read a specific genre, read only non-fiction books... whatever you choose. Your first post should contain your challenge, use a spoiler to indicate how you are progressing in meeting that challenge. As it is not 2017 quite yet, I will not count any books read prior to January 1, 2017 on this list...but I will set my goal

This year, i read 32 books. My goal each year is to read more than the previous year, so my goal for 2017 will be to read 33 or more books. 46 books so far! |

I have a goodreads account, but the app doesn't run very well on my phone, so I don't really use the account ever.

moonshadow - i've done one or two reviews. mostly i just give 'em 5 stars and move on to the next book. XD
kade - i'll use the app on my phone usually when i start a new book, or finish one. i can't always find a book on the app, but they have made some changes to the app, so now i can find books that are a part of series. so there is that. |

Trystan: I am a not that easy hahaha I tend not to review books I didn't like. I never trust Amazon reviews because I have reviewed a few books and given them 1 star and they NEVER publish those reviews, just the ones where I like the book. |
Trystan: I might give the app another chance in the new year. See if it's any better than it was last time I tried it. It just took so long to liad anything when I wasn't connected to wifi that it wasn't worth it.

I read recent reviews of the app and it seems like it still won't run very well probably. But I checked the mobile site and it works pretty good. I just need to remember to go on it more often.

what kind of phone do you have? i have a galaxy s6 and it works pretty good for me.

I have a shitty prepaid phone.
A.... i believe it's an LG Sunset. But the app doesn't load very well unless I have a wifi connection. And except for when I am at work, I am never in a place with wifi. |

I don't think I've completed any goodreads campaign. When I do read the books I forget to update my profile. When I remember to update I don't read enough (like this year). Maybe for 2017 I'll set a small goal, like one a month. |

@mdom: Why don't you join us here then, it might be easier for you to update them. Just state your challenge: one books a month, and then put your books read in a spoiler. |
One a month is actually a pretty reasonable goal, mdom! And I believe you can do it!

I sadly do not read as much as I used to, and it's getting harder for me to focus on reading books when my computer is always on. So my goal will be tiny compared to everyone else's: I will find all the books I own (whether a physical copy or an ebook) that I have NOT read yet, and I will read them.

I'll have to read the books I own. My mom goes nuts everytime I get a new book xD but I told her the perfect ratio is 3 unread to 1 read!!! |
