The Ice Cavern (come chat!)

After trekking for days on end in a seemingly barren frozen wasteland, you spot a tiny flickering light in the distance. At first, you brush it off as just a figment of your imagination - but yet it lingers. Curiosity piqued, you journey towards the tiny flame of hope.

The time it takes to cover the distance to the light seems almost trivial, in comparison to the seeming aeon it had been since you first set foot in the frigid plains. All too suddenly, you stand in the gaping azure maw of a cave, with colossal icicles looming over you like the teeth and fangs of some tremendous beast. The imposing sight nearly makes you turn back, but any dread that you feel is quashed by the need to escape the biting winds.

And so you cautiously make your way towards the glimmering light...

Open for posting!

...You're asking if I'm cold? Me? Cold? ...Surely you jest.

...Oh. You're serious. Well, let's just say I'm not as sensitive to the cold as most of you...human...erm, people. Most of you people. Folk. ...Things.

Wait, wait, don't leave! I don't bite, generally. Stay for a while, at least until the storm dies down.

..-sigh- Yes, of course I know there's a storm outside; I can hear it. Now, sit, and I'll see if I can find some blankets or something.

Pinkie 12-18-2015 05:06 AM

...are you sure you don't bite?

Monorea 12-18-2015 05:28 AM

*wanders in and looks suspiciously at the icicles*
Don't be worried, if you are bitten it's probably just a sign of affection ^^

Tas 12-18-2015 06:04 AM

*shivering*

hulloo all!

Monorea 12-18-2015 06:39 AM

*hands my scarf to AC*
Hello ^^ Aren't you a bit lightly clothed for this weather?

Tas 12-18-2015 06:41 AM

...yes

yes I am.

I wasn't expecting snow! @_@

Monorea 12-18-2015 06:44 AM

Well nature has to rock out every now and then.
So snow it is :)

Tas 12-18-2015 06:44 AM

haha, I suppose so!

*wraps in in mystie's scarf*

thanks!

Monorea 12-18-2015 06:51 AM

When i go out on a trip somewhere cold i always pack a thermos of milk chai extra strong. In the past we always used to cut our Christmas tree ourselves but nowadays we just buy it.

Tas 12-18-2015 06:52 AM

my parents always put up a fake tree. :<

Monorea 12-18-2015 06:59 AM

Burn it! Burn it to ashes!

Tas 12-18-2015 07:00 AM

well it's made of plastic, so it would just melt.

Monorea 12-18-2015 11:15 AM

Well first it would melt and then the remains would burn.

Lawtan 12-18-2015 11:15 AM

*Dances in the snow in summer clothes*
*Jumps into the snow and ice like water*

I love the cold!

Monorea 12-18-2015 11:19 AM

*huddles under blankets sipping tea*
I don't really agree with you.

Alatariel 12-18-2015 12:00 PM

This thread is making me so cold.. I need a space heater under my desk. @.@

Monorea 12-18-2015 12:09 PM

My mom got a heater in her room now since we can't fix the ones in the roofs (i know thats a stupid place to put it but my dad did it before i was born)
Edit:Well maybe a bit later

Alatariel 12-18-2015 12:23 PM

I use to have my own office here. Now I have a cubicle (because they hired me for one thing and switched me to another after hiring me.. How nice). I use to be able to have a space heater at my feet. Not anymore. :l

Monorea 12-18-2015 12:29 PM

There are other things like electrical blankets, socks or gloves that can keep you pretty warm.

Rainbowfox Ari 12-18-2015 12:33 PM

-Brings in a lot of hand-warmers, and passes them out to people-

Monorea 12-18-2015 12:38 PM

What is a handwarmer?

Rainbowfox Ari 12-18-2015 01:23 PM

They're little packets that get warm, and you can put them in gloves. It's glorious.

Monorea 12-18-2015 01:33 PM

I wonder why i haven't seen any of those?

electrical socks!?

Rainbowfox Ari 12-18-2015 02:47 PM

That sounds vaguely on the dangerous side to own. >>

Monorea 12-18-2015 02:47 PM

Yes socks that are heated electrically, those exist.

Tas 12-18-2015 02:51 PM

just make sure you don't go stepping in any puddles! o____o

Rainbowfox Ari 12-18-2015 03:05 PM

Or nudging any wet dogs with your feet. Or letting puppies steal those socks.

Monorea 12-18-2015 03:06 PM

They are insulated of course, do you think they really sell such hazardous products as you suggest?
is that the right word? Maybe not
Sigh
Vocabulary

Tas 12-18-2015 03:08 PM

still sounds risky! O.O

Rainbowfox Ari 12-18-2015 03:10 PM

Still and all... actual COLD would make it worth the money. As it is, well... a facebook post put it best for me.

"What a lovely Spring we're having this Winter."

Monorea 12-18-2015 03:12 PM

Same here we have had a couple of winter weeks but at the moment it feels like spring and it was about the same last winter.

I /generally/ don't bite. If there...isn't a reason to.

I saw that too, and it's so relevant -- Pittsburgh's a full 25-ish degrees above average.

Tas 12-18-2015 03:23 PM

I bite...sometimes. O.O

Rainbowfox Ari 12-18-2015 03:45 PM

Espy! Espy! Do you remember me? I don't imagine you do, but I remember you! ^^

Monorea 12-18-2015 03:50 PM

I nom people sometimes. Toes when i am bored and brains when i am tired

Rainbowfox Ari 12-18-2015 03:52 PM

Does eating their brains make you less tired? O_o

Tas 12-18-2015 03:53 PM

you nom people's toes? o.o

Monorea 12-18-2015 03:57 PM

Yeah when i am bored the floor is usually the most interesting place to be for some odd reason. And nibble is a better word.
And no eating brains is just because i feel like a zombie more and more the more tired i get.
