I'm throwing a Pity Party

And you're all invited. You gotta come whether you want to or not because if you don't I'll throw another using the excuse that I wanna feel sorry for myself for being stood up :p-raspberry:

Lawtan 11-10-2015 08:40 AM

*Is confused*
...can't find the clip, but it's a Dalek saying, "Pity? We have no understanding of the word. Exterminate!"

daikokunyo 11-10-2015 09:58 AM

Oooh, Doctor Who. Maybe we can binge-watch during the party; it's gonna be of indefinite duration anyway.

'Pity' means you feel sorrow or compassion for my misfortunes- that high school is fucking me over, that I can't have a time-turner, that I've got IBS, that I can't sing, that I'm not married to Erika Linder.

The major agenda of the pity party consists of me feeling sorry for myself and you feeling sorry for me- or pretending to- while I pour out my tragic life story.

And you better wear that waterproof jacket because I'm gonna cry on everyone's shoulder.

Lawtan 11-10-2015 10:24 AM

Oh, okay...

*Bakes cookies and cake, gets the blankie, and giant teddy bear*

daikokunyo 11-10-2015 10:46 AM

Oh yay! Law, you sweetpea *huggles* the blankie's just what I need to comfort me along with the teddy! I also need some tea though... nothing more comforting and fortifying in the time of facing the tragedy of my life more than a cup of strongly spiked tea!

Tohopekaliga 11-10-2015 10:52 AM

Pity Party...?

More's the pity, I suppose.

Salone 11-10-2015 10:55 AM

Every party deserves ice cream!

daikokunyo 11-10-2015 12:01 PM

Tohopekaliga- Can I call you Peka? Thanks for the expression of regret, with that we're off to a nice, muted start. Gradually we'll work our way up.

Salone- YES. Ice cream as dessert at the end after all the build-up. Tea for when I cry, ice cream for when I scream.

Maro 11-10-2015 02:22 PM

at least a pity party is still a party, right?~

Lawtan 11-10-2015 02:23 PM

*Offers arm as stress toy*

Maro 11-10-2015 02:28 PM

Ooo lovely avatar there Lawtan o3o

Tohopekaliga 11-10-2015 02:37 PM

"Toho" is the usual short form of my name. :P

Lawtan 11-10-2015 02:39 PM

*Blushes extensively...again!*

Do you want me to bring the music?

*Stands on Toho's head like Snoopy*

Sorry, Toho...

Maro 11-10-2015 02:45 PM

My avatar feels kinda plain compared to most on here eheh ^^'

Glitch 11-10-2015 04:49 PM

I really wanted to find the clip from Cheers for this but I can't y.y

It is episode 248 though!

"Rebecca:
I'm not a loser! Norm's a loser. Look at him eating ice cream.

Norm:
Hey guys...did Rebecca just call me a loser?

Frasier:
I'm afraid so, Norm.

Norm:
Good...I thought she said leave me some!"

I dunno, pity party and ice cream just reminded me of that!

Why are we having a pity part? D:

Salone 11-10-2015 10:17 PM

Failing ice cream, sobbing inconsolably always helps. What's the occasion for the pity party?

Appalachia 11-10-2015 11:03 PM

I would like to offer balloons with faces (of your choice) on them. I guess :/ could possibly work the best?

daikokunyo 11-11-2015 12:36 AM

Apple- can I call you Apple? Thank you for that offer, it sounds cute! Except I'm not expected to use the balloons as substitutes for the real people just because they have real people faces, am I?

Maro- yes indeed! We shall all have fun squeezing Law's lovely stress toy arm! :p-cute: Well when you feel like that just take one look at my avi. Apart from the hair and tail which Law gave me which are awesome, I'm so plain my proverbial name could be Jane.

Tohopekaliga- Toho it is, then :p-kittysmile:

Glitch and Salone- I shall have a whole carton after crying buckets into it :p-nod: as for the occasion and reason, as aforementioned:

Also, everyone should pour out their tragic life story once in their life and see how it comes out. It's an experience we're all entitled to.

Glitch 11-11-2015 01:05 AM

You know, my belly hurts just about every time I eat, it sucks.

daikokunyo 11-11-2015 01:46 AM

*pats Glitch and hands her Law's arm*

My turn. I have irritable bowel syndrome and need I even describe it? It sucks. :s-dead:

Glitch 11-11-2015 02:26 AM

I had curry for dinner! My belly is a wreck! Haha, I don't know what I have though >3> Def. allergic to canola oil

daikokunyo 11-11-2015 02:45 AM

I'd pat your belly if that wouldn't make me a creep x3

It doesn't work if you ask your tummy like 'Hey Tummy why are you upset with me what do you fucking want?' because it doesn't work with bowels or any body part really. You'd think body parts, being a part of your body, would be on your side, but hardly ever.

At least I never have migraines, right? Oh wait... this is a pity party. Fine, I'm having to study all the time except for when I eat, sleep or poop. Or occasionally Trisphee or take a breath of air.

Glitch 11-11-2015 03:44 AM

i made a migraine all day too! XD but it's gone now thank goodness.

What are you studying for? My last semester of college I had to read 2.5 novels a week because I wanted to graduate so i signed up for 5 english classes XD

daikokunyo 11-11-2015 04:21 AM

I'm finishing high school but in my country it's specialised so I have all three sciences with psychology and english. Since everyone who passes high school tries for college it's super competitive and they try to filter us out in high school and it's basically hell. :s-dead:

Glitch 11-11-2015 04:51 AM

oh man that does sound awful! let me know if you need any help

daikokunyo 11-11-2015 04:55 AM

Thanks! I'm beyond help though. They did not give us the foundation for high school up until middle school and everyone's just learning by rote and I guess I'll just do the same XP unless you can teach me four years of undergraduate science studies in three months *laughs hollowly*

You can teach me how to pixel though! OMGYES I wanna be a trainee pixelist or smth
Although I can't maneuver a mouse and don't know shit so that might be a problem :s-sweat:

Glitch 11-11-2015 04:57 AM

Ah I use a wacom bamboo tablet so I have a pen which makes pixeling a lot like drawing on a paper, only the paper is your screen.

daikokunyo 11-11-2015 05:01 AM

Maybe there's hope for me then :s-excited:

Would it be possible for me to do the same thing with a touch phone if I get a stylus for it?

Glitch 11-11-2015 05:09 AM

I have no idea ouo

I have never tried D:

daikokunyo 11-11-2015 05:13 AM

I dearly hope so. I know I'll be getting a phone soon. But an art tablet I might have to beg and fight and do crazy things for.

How'd you learn how to pixel? o3o

Glitch 11-11-2015 05:50 AM

i'm all self taught, even with photoshop ouo

i got mine used on amazon for like $50

daikokunyo 11-11-2015 05:59 AM

That is supermegaawesomerad and I'm going to do the same thing!

Unfortunately if I got anything on Amazon used the shipping would probably cost more than the product. But I'm going to look into it.

Coda 11-11-2015 11:17 AM

No, no, the Cintiq is the one where the paper is the screen. :P

There's also the Bamboo Spark, which is ACTUALLY paper.

daikokunyo 11-11-2015 01:20 PM

Crazy expensive, dude. :s-dead:

Though the bamboo spark price is like, Cintiq divided by 20

Glitch 11-11-2015 03:24 PM

Well I am terrible at explaining things XD don't ask me to do it again! XDDD

That was the best way I could describe the bamboo tablet and I lied I have the bamboo fun wacom tablet. See there, I even forgot a word.

Coda 11-11-2015 05:41 PM

Well, there is no tablet just named "Bamboo" anymore, so you weren't wrong -- you simply labeled a group of tablets that all have roughly the same behavior. :P

And yes, I know that Cintiqs are crazy expensive... I've had five of them over the years. >.> (Not at full retail price! Only one of them was at full retail! The first one (15X) I bought used (super cheap), the second one (22WSX) was full retail, the third one (12WX) was a trade for the second plus a bit of cash, the fourth one (13HD) was a trade for the third plus a bit of cash, and the fifth one (24HD) was bought used when the fourth one's backlight went out.)

The Bamboo Spark is pretty cheap as tablets go. It's not that much more expensive than the Bamboo Fun. The only real problem is the hassle of replacing the ink cartridges because Wacom doesn't sell them. >.> You can only buy an entire new stylus, and it comes with three cartridges. (I'm intending to buy some third-party cartridges to see if they work or not.)

Glitch 11-11-2015 05:57 PM

I looked it up, that thing is prettyyyy cool. No ink is a huge flaw though, I wouldn't be happy with that.

Coda 11-11-2015 06:11 PM

Like I said, you can get more ink, you just have to buy a replacement stylus along with it, so it's about $25 for three refills.

My wife is currently doing a trial with a Spark and I'm going to order some cheap brass-clad cartridges and see if they work. (Wacom says the brass cladding is required for the stylus to work and therefore their own refills are the only ones that are compatible, but I'm wondering if other brass-clad refills will work.)

Hey, nothin' that can't be fixed by staring at a lake!

https://youtu.be/z2jx4Je0qsE

But seriously, I know what you mean. Just be glad that your main problem is the academic portion of school. Even after you're an 'adult' the drama never ends.

daikokunyo 11-12-2015 12:43 AM

You need ink cartridges NO PLZ GONK

I just want a super cheap tablet that's good for pixeling and digital art and I can use a stylus and not worry about ink and cartridges because it's digital, y'know?

Dolly- That vid was so cute x3 yeah I love zoning out on walks. I love being in my own head where it's like, whatever. Haven't tried zoning out in front of a lake. At least when I'm an adult I'll be able to choose more. If I wanna mess up or be 'responsible'. Right?
