Candlelight Cavern [OPEN]
http://api.ning.com/files/Qvoxp7jhEt...ingCandles.gif Hm, who knew the cellar of the Blackadder led to a cave? Definitely /not/ me, ahem. Well, I've lit a few candles now, and it's not too chilly, so why don't you sit and chat for a bit, yeah? ...Don't stare at the candles for too long, you'll get a headache. Been there, done that. Got some, uh, drinks if you're up for that. Pack of crackers, too. Better not ask for a smoke; we'll all die of asphyxiation down here. ____________ |
Reserved for potential stuff, and OPEN.
EDIT: ....my candles seem to be having technical difficulties. |
Espy! Such a long, long time no see!
Random question, do you watch Grimm? 'Cause I felt it might be your alley. xD |
I actually don't, should I? I've been asked that a few times XD
Well, I think you might like it. It has got interesting take on supernatural and fairy tales, and it's about 'beasts' among us. And oh god, Monroe. His goofy humor and adorable awkwarness mixed with badassness. *dies* It's got some gore, but not over the top and all that. It's good, in my opinion.
Hmmmm. See, I generally don't do TV. Like, at all. But once in a while might be good, huh.
Well, you can always watch on Internet, since 4th season just started and on TV you'd be super confused, LOL. But no pressure. xD
Maybe I should actually get a Netflix >.>
I use cucirca... It's free. >_> Sure, sometimes takes a while to find working link, but... Netflix doesn't work for me as I'm not from the States, so. xD
Huh, that's a nice website o.o I'll have to look into it.
:) Okay, and love your new avatar, Espy!
Thanks, I actually had it before my Halloween avi and saved it in the editor.
Haha, but it does look great. :)
Thanks XD Kind of my typical semi-Celtic assassin-y avatar.
Watching things on actual TV is for old people. xD My TV is hooked up to a computer and serves as a jumbo monitor for playing video games and for watching anime online.
My family was still using our old CRT up until a couple years back.
I'm pretty sure my parents still have a CRT, but it's in my little brother's room and hooked up to his GameCube. The TVs in my parent's room and the family room are newer ones.
But really, it's pretty weird how a single generation is so different when it comes to television. Most people our age watch TV shows online, either through Netflix, Hulu, or whatever hosting site we can get our hands on. But when it comes to my parents' generation, almost all people that age I know still have cable subscriptions and record TV shows on DVR. And my parents are pretty tech-savvy, but I guess since the internet wasn't a source of entertainment when they were growing up, they don't look to the internet to provide them with their TV needs. |
I guess i really like to be in control of things, so I do videogames more than TV for entertainment's sake.
Totally makes sense. I like both, but they each make me feel entertained in very different ways.

Whoops, there goes that candle...Seems to be a bit breezy in here, huh. Think this might lead out to the sea. That reminds me, I've heard stories about some old ghostly galleon around the parts. Maybe this used to be a pirates' cave.
*looks around* Espy! *tackles and cuddles*
OOF. Hello there.
*Messenger bat is sent ahead to the Smuggler's Cove under the Blackadder Speakeasy*
*The bat lands on Espy's hat and curls up on it* |
-insert awkward anachronism here- (Speakeasies and pirate coves.)
-takes hat off and puts it in lap- Hm, a message from...Law? Haven't seem him around these parts in quite a while. |
The Message reads:
To The Bartender of The Blackadder Speakeasy, I have long studied the maps of the caves beneath Trisphee. It has come to my attention that there are older passageways that break off from the cove - one of which has been linked to a Captain Bill, a wealthy merchant dealing between privateers and nations, and a renowned connoisseur of Wine, Vodka, and Rum. It is possible that you may find some of his wealth in a side cavern. However, I have also read of a legend of a doomed group of natives. The poor folk, while exploring the caverns, slipped down a chute. Unable to get back up, legend has it that they grew mad before they died during an earthquake. So, be careful. Your humble servant, Librarian Lawtan, Chaotic Dragon of the Sea |
Oooooh, an adventure! *w* Let's go on an adventure! Let's go! **tugs on Espy's poofy pirate sleeve**
*tugs on Lucid's skirt* You Wanna go on an adventure?
Yeah, adventures! :D **tugs on Tiva's goopy arm thing** ..... D:
Go on ahead, I need to, uh, AFK and do some textbook reading and get dinner BUT I'LL CATCH UP WITH YOU LUBBERS LATER.
*reads message over Espy's shoulder, like the curious ghost cat she is and cackles a little insanely* Oh, this sounds like a mighty great place to explore!
The wine, vodka and rum got my attention..
through don't know these caverns very well so not totally sure if it is worth the danger of looking for any of the loot. |
(Ooh, Grimm! Monroe is the sweetest vegetarian Wolf! Er, not really a werewolf, I don't think... oi, all those Germanic monster names!)
Alcohol, not really my purview. Lost natives, though, that huts my sympathies. It would be awfully nice to bring some rest to lost souls such as those. |
Doop, I'm back. Time for adventure.
-grabs a lantern and heads out towards the cove- |
All depends if you can bring them back without dying yourself.
*follows Espy towards adventure* Yay!
*creeps after from overhead, flapping mechanical wings*
*The Bat-messenger flies on ahead*
o.o;;
-scrambles to catch up with bat- -trips- ...Ow. |
Do I have to use my powers? It's kinda dark.
