( ･ u ･) ➯ Chocobo; Okay, I'm going to rant, so ignore this, but; ONE, no no no no, Lewis Carroll was NOT pedophilia. Many facts prove this. He had a love for small children, yes, but it was not a love everyone assumes. In Carroll's personal journal he implied something dark happened to him at his school when younger. I think this is what lead him to be friends with children. He liked being in company of children because they were innocent. There isn't much more information on what in on at the school, but it seems very dark and had traumatize him, making any real relationships with adults (of course he had some close adult friends). So the 'facts' of him being a pedophilia was shit. The only reason he was even with Alice and her sisters (the place where 'All in a Golden Afternoon' takes place), was because the girls were the minsters of the church he gave lectures at. So as favors he would take them out on trips with one of his close friends, later he grew fond over their trips. He was just friends with them, that is all. End of rant. Sorry, I love Lewis Carroll, so I get so angry that the poor man still gets accused of such acts. I have read every single piece of his journals, works and small pieces to try to get any clue if he was such. So far, I got nothing then the poor guy going through life. ..Uhh, I'm sorry.( ◡ n ◡ ) I don't mean anything against you! You.. Just sort of touched a soft subject with me. it is ok to feel strongly dear, we each have our hot-button topics but i do still have my opinion of him and they are based on discarded draft segments from the stories he wrote for alice as well as the published parts and his fondness for alice and her sister in particular when there were nearly a dozen children in the family of both genders to become attached to. but then again i did not know the guy so it is all my personal feelings the same as yours since neither of us have concrete proof that we are right
and no worries, if we talk about art-theft and plagiarism(and the prickly topic of copyright) i can be way more aggressive XD it is good to have opinions and as long as you do not force someone against their will to take yours as solemn rote(barring factual evidence which i am all for beating people with) it is fine to share them |
You are absolutely right, however I can never see him as such. It's a horrible trait to have, but it is what it is. I used to get told off by my English teacher for 'cheerleading', haha. She used to say I talked about Carroll as a god. I never did pass that class, haha. Oh I get ya! Copyright, art-thief and just anything of the like gets to me as well. It mostly drives me mad since artist who aren't that well known can't do a thing when a big time company steals their art! So not fair. Also, thank you so much. Maybe they just felt targeted from you? I, myself, have thought someone was attacking me before when they were just blunt with their words. Some people are just not use to bluntness, especially on sites. I'm sure they wouldn't call you 'mean' if they took a moment and just ask if you mean to be such. /shrugs Dunno', the avatar site scene has changed since I used to be on them a lot. |

i do not know, though i am fond of mutilating sayings from before i am born, the one i just mentioned is from a 1984 yearbook compilation book, it was all sayings written in yearbooks that were gathered and sometimes given little pictures for
