My Art... You like?
 

Just saying Hi and Want your opinion on my art.
As well, discussion on my art what could be changed and done, etc.
I know I'm not the greatest, as I am just trying out as of lately.
How I go at it is by drawing out the picture first, scanning it, and then outlining it and adding color and extras to the art.
Singles are done from oldest to newest, and couples are more recent.

I would pay for some of your art, I have an art request thread you should take a look. One a side note the female chests scare me. ^^;

Yes, that's my major flaw I find, is the female chest. I don't know how to fix that or how to improve on those. Some advise would help to know what I am doing wrong and how to get them right. XD

I'm not to good an artist but I'll send Kamikaze Chinchilla your way, she is a good artist and may be able to give some pointers.

The thing I would suggest is making it more subtle and just add a bit of shading, but I am not an artist for people. When Kami gets home from work I'll send her here just be careful she'll demand cookies and things. lol.

Yes, shading. That is a new thing for me as well and trying out.
Though everything comes with practice and some advise as well.
I have been told to go to DA and search all this stuff, but the thing is, just searching and trying to look for what I need is a bit difficult when things aren't the same, per say. Some work advise would be best for me in that department. XD

Oh wow. Him and my little sister would be eating till there was no more. She is one 6 and eats cheese, if you don't put it away fast enough. XD

I think it's cute! :) I love the chibi style you have.
I think shading was mentioned earlier and I agree that adding some nice shading could definitely increase the quality of your work.

Keiko, I am having troubles with the breast area.

Twigg, Thank you, and I'm definitely working on the shading, I know I need more work with that. Told to use the sun theory. As it is, breast are my difficult point now too. XD Also, I'm not afraid of doing art for free too. I just tend to do males more so then females at the moment. But I do, do them. ^.^

Awe, Kaguya, that's so nice of you. ^.^ I think I found everyone to be friendly on this site. Kaguya being the prime example. I like it.

Well, Twigg, if you can give any other advice, that would awesome. Like the shading. As you can tell from some of the pieces, I do it, but very small. I don't know if it should be something bigger or what? I just don't want to risk too much shading, which I tend to go from different angles as well.

The biggest thing I can tell you about shading is (even though it sounds super cliche) to look at life and references. See how the light bounces off of things and creates shadows. If you need to, gather references. Seriously, it helps. Even if you're doing a more cartoony style it will help you. I promise.

I did notice you had some, but it was very faint and kind of random. I suggest picking a definite light source and working from that. For instance if the light is coming from the right hand side, the shadows would be on the left. And vice versa.

If you'd like I can find you some helpful tutorials that might illustrate what I mean a little better and give you some visual aids.

Also another big thing I recommend to you is to experiment! Seriously. Go outside of your comfort zone. Try something new! Even if you don't like it you might learn a new technique that can make your art all the more better. <3

I'm evil and possessed, my best friend on site is a copyright infringing, cookie eating, strangely homicidal, rodent called Kami. I'm already broken.

Oh, I see. Never has anyone made it simple as that. "...light is coming from the right hand side, the shadows would be on the left. And vice versa." That is something I should keep in mind now. That is something I should look more into, seeing the light that way now.

Are there any tutorials that would help with this? I tried looking into DA, and I get so lost there and confused... T.T

Kamikaze... Hi, nice to meet you. Kaguya had said you could help with some advise with how to improve my art. As you can tell, I'm not the greatest at shadowing, nor boobies. Female chests give me a hard time ad they come out big, even if I mean to make them small as well as shading around them...
