I 100% did not make that up. Apparentlt it is a thing.
We also have lavender lemonade at work at it is probably also awful. I refuse to try it. |
Do it! Do it for us!! Have a glass of water as a palette cleanser later xD
|
this is the first time i'm hearing about lavender lemonade :s-shock:
i like lavender in tea including iced tea so... maybe i wouldn't mind lavender lemonade? |
We have lavender lemonade too. And one ice cream parlor used to sell lavender blueberry ice cream some years ago, which was surprisingly good... although probably not very popular, because they didn't bring it back next year.
|
damn, so even though it was good it didn't get popular cause people probably didn't venture to try it very often :f-sideglance:
|
Your avatar is so cool xD
|
That's what I wonder too, daikokunyo.
|
People need to be more adventurous
|
I'm still waiting for balut flavored Ruffles/Doritos. Or even KitKats?
|
baby eater!!!!
never had balut actually. they released churro flavored cheetos here. |
I haven't tried it either. Seems like it would be more of a... texture rather than flavor.
Like just the puff with the typical churro flavoring? Or the cheese flavor mixed with churro? |
It tasted like cinnamon to me |D mostly because I hate cinnamon so I always feel it in things
but yeah It wasn't overly sweet |
Considering how the spicy hot Cheetos are popular, I wonder if wasabi will ever become a flavor.
|
I'D LOVE WASABI FLAVORED CHEETOS!!! Maybe in Japan they'll release them.

so the first time my family had sushi, my younger brother took the whole glob of wasabi paste and popped it into his mouth. he didn't know what he was. it was just the kind of dumb thing he'd do, not knowing what something is and never having tasted it but still stuffing it whole into his mouth. anyway, it gets dumber because he had too much of a pride to spit it out at once, and he sat there opening and shutting his mouth, gasping and eyes watering, while we told him over and over to spit it out. finally he did. the thing about wasabi is it's not just your tongue that burns, the burn travels up your nose, down your throat into your chest. brothers are idiots. |
Ahahaha xDDD he learned a valuable lesson!!
I love wasabi. I'd eat a whole blob if I had that much available to eat at once. Just clean all sinuses, ready to breathe fire. |
Maybe we can try to make our own. That was a recent thing that Claire from Bon Apetit did, we just try to figure out the wasabi instead. Everything involves a good dehydrator.
Wasabi would probably be good for colds. Edit: Also, have you had real wasabi? Because isn't most of it dyed horseradish? |
it's a pretty boss avatar ^^ good luck~
|
Good question, even though that plant doesn't seem to be native from here.
I did once buy a japanese paste. |
Was it frozen? Looks like the real stuff loses flavor too quickly and is hard to grow.
|
it likely wasn't the real thing

i like to say 'wasabi' as a greeting. i sadly haven't had wasabi often enough to know when it's the real thing :f-straightface: |
that is fair. i have the same issue with crab XD
|
it was expensive so it better have been the real thing xDDD
|
also to be fair that could have just been paying for the privilege of the restaurant x''D
|
what no, I bought it at a japanese store xD
|
Now you have to find the real thing and try it again, to verify.
|
hey, I'm gonna believe I got the real thing from the japanese store ok

The wasabi was real. Everything else was fake, though.

D:
nooo the pocky was real too!! pls tell the pocky was real!!! |
That happened to be another Claire/A Pastry Chef Attempts. They make experimental flavors with those too, right?
|
In the strictest sense, nothing is real.
|
yeah although the flavors they import here are the basic ones only
also true, Mekatra |
