Facepalming at one of my coworkers. She was all "are you signing up to get the covod vaccine? They're starting signup for it tomorrow."
So I checked online. And yeah, signups open up tomorrow. For ages 70+ and 16-69+ WITH underlying medical conditions.
I do not fall into either of those groups.

Ugh. On the one hand I want to terraform and make a better house/building layout and prettify Derpy's ACHN island, but on the other hand, I've grown attached to the starting layout and don't want to mess it up because I suck at decor stuff. (Both indoor and outdoor decor tbh.)
I'd look up other islands for reference, but I'd probably just attempt to straight up copy them and that's not very original/Derpy-like.

Why do I always get the wweirdos. Had a guy call the store today and I can't tell of he was trying to awkwardly hit on me or if he 2as just starved for attention or it was an elaborate prank or what, but it took a good several minutes just to get him to say what he was looking for....then a other good several minutes for him to give more detailed questions about what he was looking for and, finally, after several more awkward minutes of him rambling and me not really knowing how he wanted me to respond (like, idgaf about "bubble butts" and the Kardashians o.o) I managed to sort of stammer out an "I'm sorry, I've got another call coming in that I need to get" so that I could hang up because we were getting a line and there's a lot to do today.

Like, sorry dude. You're talking to an ace/aro, I don't care about men's bikinis, posing shorts, or half naked guys in the carribean. I care about crafting and, when at work, I care about helping customers as efficiently as possible. Now either tell me how I can help you, or call a friend to ramble to.

My sister is visiting, but she's been also quarantining and doesn't usually go anywhere so she's been safe.

This might be a bit too dark, but I watched a court recording today of a case where the abuser violated the no contact order DURING the court session. He was in the same room as the victim. The female prosecutor (mentioning her gender bc I think it is important) picked up on the nonverbal cues via zoom. Absolutely amazing.

Of COURSE an abuser would violate court rules. >:( Cause they think they can get their way. Mad props to the prosecutor, though. <3

I'm so glad my case didn't have to go to court. I was terrified about how that would go down

I hate when my boss lies. Got a text last night asking me to come in early today to do dishes from a rental last night. Her words on the quantity of dishes: "not too many".

That was a bald-faced lie. Not too many, my ass. I did 2 AND A HALF trays of just dinner plates. There was so much silverware that I just gave it a quick rinse to get the bigger food particles off them (because our "dishwasher" is actually meant for sanitizing, not washing) and dumped them all in the flat tray.
Like...the quantity of dishes isn't going to impact whether I agree to come in or not, so just be honest and say "we had a pretty big rental, could you come in early?" I'd probably still have said yes. Not that I get any respect here. The artists and renters give me more heartfelt thank yous than my boss does... >.>
At least my cleaning now is (hopefully) limited to the occasional helping out and she doesn't try to make this a permanent thing. Because I already quit janitorial and doing dishes sure as hell isn't in the front desk/gift shop employee manual.

All bosses should. But in my experience, the ones that do don't come along very often.

Good managers do. It's part of what makes them good managers. Sadly, good managers aren't exactly commonplace. Most employers don't put enough value on putting good candidates in those roles; "good enough" is... well, good enough, for them.

I think I was accidentally very rude to a customer. But tbh, I was trying to clock out for lunch (as in, I had the time clock open and was about to punch out) and she was asking me questions about a fabric, which I did my best to answer, but then I punched out and walked away because she didn't say anything after my price checking. She looked like she was thinking still.
But as I was buying a water, I saw her walk out without fabric so I suspect she wanted me to cut her fabric. But she didn't say how much she wanted or anything and she knew (because I said it) that I was going to lunch so...idk. Might have accidentally been rude.

I'm gonna be moving at the end of the year but I haven't decided where. I can't seem to find a place where both my partner and I would be happy

Lol. Boss wants to know if I'll work OVERNIGHT at the museum on Fri and Sat through the summer (her message was kinda vague on dates/how many shifts it would be) for some ghost hunting group.
Like...you do realize that if I say yes to either one, it means working approximately 13-18+ hour days and running all weekend on an estimated 3-5 hours of sleep? Ha. How do I politely say no.

I mean, tbh, it could be kinda fun to see how/what the ghost hunting thing is, and I could make the Friday shift work with some conditions like, I'd need time between getting off at Joann and walking to the museum to buy food and someone else would have to work the desk shift on Sat afternoon because I'm not going to stay up for almost 24 hours straight and manage to be functional the next day if I only have maybe 5 hours at most to crash/sleep.

But the real funny part if it all is that any "ghosts" at the museum are a hoax. I've done my research and there is no basis for any kind of haunting in the building. No deaths, no occult practices or demon summonings. Literally nothing. XD

I've always been fascinated with ghost hunting, but I would only likely participate in it if I wasn't alone. >_>" But I do have a fascination with paranormal stuff.

I' definitely skeptical of ghosts/the paranormal, but I think if a place is going to be haunted, there needs to be some reason for it. *shrug*
So a ghost hunt in the museum is all just going to be gimmicks to fool believers.
But that's just my opinion.

I did a body composition scan at the gym this weekend so they can track how my metrics change over time and...
I am not okay. I had no idea how bad it had all gotten. I knew I wasn't where I had wanted to be, but I'd been slowly adjusting my habits over time, etc. but no, it's not good, and it's not okay, and I'm tired of people trying to tell me that it's okay, because it's just really not.
