Yeah, I could do better, lol. But I'm still getting used to the pressure points of the pen. I can't wait til I start getting used to it. I'm going to stick to practicing on this eye til I get it perfected, then move on to another body part. Try to get my rusty drawing skills back on track.

Mostly, yes. Tho, I've read in some areas that to better do manga, it would be wise to learn how to draw realistic.
My expertise when pencil drawing was always animal related, so I figured it's about time for me to learn human anatomy as well. |
For anatomy, you do want to start with a realistic sense of anatomy. It took me a very, very long time to pull my art far away enough from manga to be able to focus on anatomy.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I have my mother's book around here somewhere for realism. I'm hoping that I can find it and use it for a starters. But I'll mostly look to DA for tutorials. Found tons of great tutorials for 'em. Just hard to view them side-by-side. Kinda wish I could dual-screen with the Sanyo, lol.
Only my husbands computer is set up for that, tho. Edit Also, is it just me or is the Avatar System slow as hell and not working? |

That would be awesome! It's difficult to weed out the basic and advanced tutorials in DA. And I do a search by the most popular cause I hate to say it but most of the time, the 'recently added' ones are just.... not worth my time. But I guess I'm just that picky. However, I have found crappy tutorials that I've worked with and made better, so I suppose they're not all 'crappy'.

Damn that sucks. Do you perhaps live in the states? Because I've been talking to a few friends and a shit ton of us are sick and I'm pretty sure it has to do with the rapid changing weather.
I live in TX and we just went from 80 to 40 drop so we've been slowly running up on that. I feel like everyone I talk to is getting sick right now. I hope your cough gets better tho'. TEA AND WHISKEY. :) Cures cough real quick. (And not just 'cause I like whiskey and classic tea.) |

It's here in Canada, too. My boyfriend is sick. He had it bad the first day, got a bit better the second day, and yesterday he was just full of snot. Blech. I do hope you get better soon though! :) |

That sounds awfully how I've been doing. I just had a sore throat for awhile and then I was fine. Had a fever one night. Was kinda okay the next day and then rock bottomed with gross sick shit the next day and now I'm just trying to ride it out. At least I've got TV. And sort of tea. My old tea maker was left at the old apartment when I was moving other stuff so I have to microwave my tea. Not as fun. At all. |
