silkily he rolled his shoulders into a shrug, "other than my temporary absence? absolutely nothing. this and that and you and her are all separate thing, and the only thing in my favor is that i know how vindictive maia is and how much she likes to rub noses into the ground"
Galvin snorted a little as he rolled a piece of meat into some spinach and offered it to the mouth across the table. "Does this mean that you are still obligated to go to her Halloween party? " He wondered remembering how Ambrosia mentioned it before. "And you will not have to worry about me for two or three weeks. I am going on a family hunting trip and most likely wont be back till thanksgiving."
he could only assume it was not bear or deer the pyce's would be hunting and so decided he would not ask to tag along, "yes, even the outcast must go though i am tempted to make you stay here with me. your real job and vamp lover both require constant attention"
At that he laughed waiting to take his arm back to offer another bite. When the man stopped speaking he finally took what was on the edge of Galvins fork. Since he could not resort to his usual retort of the other just wanting sex, he found himself with simply a smirk on his lips until he could think of something clever. "I don't think you want me as your lover to wait on you hand and foot. Alias Mr. Garagin I still have obligations to my family as well."
again he shrugged though this time it was crisper and not simply for show, "you do and so do i but the difference is i am not a pussy and do stand up to mine on your behalf"
This time he left his fork inside his food. "If it is what you want then I will tell them. Though Trent knows and has heavily advocated that we break up." He twisted so his head rested in his chin. "It will be fun thanksgiving but just know you wont be allowed at my funeral."
smirking more to himself than to the other he showed his teeth, "maybe not but i will be there all the same and snatch the body after for my own nefarious purposes"
He let his draw drop. "Ambrosia you can not have sex with ashes."
"ashes?" he paused. it had never occurred to him that galvin would be cremated after he had died, "why would you do that?"
He shook his head. "It is an honor among hunters to be sure your body can not be used against your fellow hunters. My parents would cut out my heart, cut off my head, burn the rest of my body and scatter the ashes into the wind. If they were really old fashion, the head would be buried either next to running water or across train tracks."
the thought was disgusting and he let it show on his face and in his voice, "your parents are sick. that is disrespectful to you and a violation of your corpse. there is something wrong with them if they really intend on mutilating you, i wish for them both to go first"
It was his turn to shrug, though Ambrosia's face kept him amused. "It is tradition. Much more wholesome then knowing your son is a Zombie."
the absurdity o the reasoning was too much and lightly he pushed away the proffered spoon. "they are not just sick they are insane, there is no such thing as zombies. what is there validation? that it has not happened yet so it must be working? if you die i will take your body as far from them as i can and give you a proper burial. there is no excuse to have anything else"
( And this is as close to religious as he will get xD and so very close to what he said in Cirro's house )
He found himself chuckling. "Ambrosia... in three days time Jesus ascended from his grave. There are some vampires that are not born as you are, and in this world where people are desperate enough to have the most beautiful disease known to man, things like hoodoo and necromancers are not to far fetched as well. It is my families precaution to know that I am dead, and I am not jesus, that I will not come back to suck blood or under the control of another." |
bullshit. the same ignorant religious talk from before and it offended him greatly, "galvin pyce....this conversation is over. eat your dinner"
He laughed again, no longer interested in his food. "So let me understand this, you can accept cirro and his multitude of gods that bring him fortune but you can not accept my lore? Ambrosia you have not sired a fledgling. Why is it so far fetch to believe what I say as true? All myths and lies no matter how far fetched have some base in the truth." He set his fork down gazing at the evening city. He plucked up his glass saying no more.
