I wish I could get more piercings in my ear. But it's not a good idea because of potential for new keloids and having pre-existing ones from past piercings.

XP
I hate when people recognize you as an employee and try to ask questions when you're not even on the clock. Like today, I had literally just walked into work and was trying to get back to the break room when I nearly ran into someone. As I veered around and down the next aisle, they asked if I could check a price when I had a second. Now keep in mind...I had literally just arrived at work. I was wearing jeans, a black t-shirt, and a jacket. Not the lime green apron that would indicate I was an on-the-clock employee. Had the person not been a regular, I would have looked like just an ordinary shopper to them. UGH. Like, if a person isn't wearing a uniform, leave them alone and ask someone who is. XP I probably came off as a bit rude, so if they're still in the store when I clock in, I'll probably apologize, but it's just frustrating to be asked work questions (mainly like "can you check x price" type stuff, idc too much about pointing people in the right direction or answering yarn/fabric questions usually). |
i get that!
my favorite - so up at the register i have my water bottle and a little desk fan. most of the time i also wear my work t-shirt instead of the vest that i have to go over a regular t-shirt, so i already have the target on me. but i leave the register and head back to the break room to clock out, carrying my fan and water bottle, and yep - i get stopped and asked questions as to where things are, price checks... so i need to juggle all that to get my rf scanner or whatever. i have to fight the urge to look at my stuff in my arms and say "uhm... no." XD |
I rarely notice if anyone has a uniform or am not all that familiar with any particular store's uniforms. But then rarely ask for help, anyway.
I think since I don't carry a purse, people tend to think I work at whatever place it is and ask for help. |

one time a customer asked me to get her something off of a peg that was higher up than my head. i was also carrying a jacket in addition to everything else. after looking at all the stuff in my arms (to know avail), i had to find a spot on the floor to put down my jacket, water bottle, and fan.... and then essentially climb up on the bottom shelf to get the garland off a peg for the customer. honestly, i don't even remember if the person said thanks or not. *sigh* |
They obviously expected you to use the bottle to boost you higher up and the jacket to pad your landing if it tipped over.
|
that made me literally LOL, bio! XD
|
xD
I get asked to scan something for customers too, but it's always on the clock, and I never have an RF gun on me. So I just tell them I don't have my gun on me, but they're more than welcome to use the ~HANDY PRICE SCANNER~ behind them to check the price. >8} Usually it works and they do. Though I haven't gotten stopped and recognized after I'm off and I'm wandering the store, because I have a lunch bag that looks really purse-like when I hold it. B] And I never look anyone in the eye until I'm leaving. <X} If someone does ask about something and I'm off my shift, I usually am nice enough to point them in the right direction. But if they need to know something I know nothing about, I just say to ask someone in the red vests. I'm off work. I'm through with you illiterate weirdos for the day. x'D Honestly, is it just me? It's not that difficult to read signs and labels right??? |
Quote:
argh. |
<x'D We should just take all the signs down and replace them with ridiculous signs as a prank for a day. No one looks at them anyway. x'D
Like, Fine Arts is Vine Farts, and Kids will be Goats, and HOT DEALS will now be COLD ROBBERY. >x'D Actual shout: I have a session in an hour and 30. =u=; I'm all weary today, I have no idea what I'll even talk about. *yawn* /B{ Kinda want to nap. |
Got to have MenengiƧ coffee today. Even though it's not really a coffee. Quite pleasant, though. Kind of want to have the paste that's used to see if it can work in other things. Seems hard to find.

Today is not a good day

I want to burn Facebook who's with me?? >:V

.U.; Thanks to 2020 I might be totally desensitized to any future catastrophes and disastrously awful events. Apparently there was also reports of 2 tornadoes touching down somewhere in california so, that's kinda neat...
;-; </3 Also, at the same time I am so done with disaster and mayhem and human nonsense. |
I'm sick to death of autocorrect NEVER correcting my typos properly...
A beloved member of a discord server I am on passed away and I tried to say something along the lines of, "She'll be forever in our hearts" and autocrectt changed hearts to "heaters". FUCKING. THE WORST THING IT COULD HAVE CHANGED IT TO. I'm so fucking upset. It ruined the moment for me and probably for others who were feeling sentimental and were trying to remember this person who passed away.... and then autocorrect went and had to be an asshole and make it look like I said "HEATERS". NO, AUTOCORRECT. I'm so sick of it. But unfortunately, without autocorrect, people probably wouldn't be able to read half the things I try to post. |
At least Discord has an edit function.
|
Yes, thankful that Discord does indeed have an edit button.
But somehow Twitter doesn't know what an edit button even is...... |
On the bright side, most people are aware of autocorrect issues and probably understood what you were trying to say.
|
I edited it as soon as I could,
But it still bugged me that it did that. It ruined a perfect moment of remembering someone who passed away... It felt like it was extremely disrespectful and even though I didn't typo on purpose, it really upset me that autocorrect changed it like that. The others on the server understood what I was saying and were kind about it, But I'm still very upset about the whole thing. |
It's a reason why I still prefer typing out stuff on a computer rather than a phone, since my computer doesn't autocorrect what I'm typing.
|
My phone doesn't autocorrect because I turn that option off.
|
i prefer typing on a computer because of the keyboard. i like it. i'm rubbish at typing with just my thumbs. XD
|
Yup, keyboards are just easier like that. XD
|
yes.... yes they are :)
|
If only I had that option...
XD |
I honestly cannot live without my computer. ;-;

I kind of feel like my ideal life would be that of an aristocrat. :/
Living according to leisure and pleasantries. Attended to by the maids and domestic workers. Always clean and comfortable. Writing letters the old fashioned way to be sent off to friends and family. And relishing in a bachelorette status without a single intention of being anything other than that. -u- <:] Imagine: a garden breakfast, reading a letter that just arrived from my dearest brother, and walking along the flowers and fountains with a parasol while I digest and ponder about the play that is being performed at the opera house. Oh, but who would I invite to Don Giovanni? <u< Perhaps father would enjoy such a fantastic theme.~ |
Well, I think most people would want to live a life of leisure haha xD
|
I dunno, I'm a maker. My ideal life would be to be able to pursue my craft without concern about how much money it makes. I would go bonkers if my life was constant socializing.
|
That's the point of a life of leisure though - you could pursue your craft full time

So, I'm doing a film project. First of all, if I had known it was going to be THIS hard I never EVER would have done it.
Now that that's out of the way, I have posted some online postings for auditions for characters that I haven't casted yet. I cast one girl for a character and immediately she was like, "I think this should be changed" and "Maybe you should do XYZ" and it was frustrating because she almost made it seem like I don't know what I'm doing and I *do*, I know it's a shocker, but I'm actually working with a whole team of creatives to get this project off the ground. So naturally, I had to put the film on hold for COVID reasons and I told the cast to reply to me to let me know that they received my email and she never replied... So I was like, "You know what? If she's not even going to take the short time to reply to my email, maybe she's not worth dealing with for this project." So since she never replied, I decided to recast. So I posted another breakdown for this character and out of the blue, this girl I once cast decided to email me like, "Oh hey. I noticed the new breakdown, have I been dropped from the project?" And it's frustrating because I gave her chances to reply to my email(s) and she also was very annoying and bold to try to change the project that isn't HERS to begin with, so I'm kinda done with her anyway... In my honest opinion, if she was serious about being in the role, she should have asked me first about when the production would start up again and she should have replied to my email. She was the only one of the people in my cast who never replied. So it's frustrating that that happened. I'm a little annoyed, I guess. My job is already hard enough as it is, I have to find locations, find food for the cast and crew, I have to set up shoot dates, I have to browse through hundreds of auditions to find the right choice for each character... it's a LOT to do. Especially for me since this isn't what I do for a living. This is just a project I am working on for my own portfolio. I really don't need the extra stress right now... |
Phew. I'd say recasting was a good call. Last thing you need on top of all that other work is a drama queen diva.
Hope everything goes well with the project! Ah today is a weird day. On the one hand, I want to get some cleaning/housework/living room rearranging done, but on the other hand, I just wanna sit and play animal crossing all day with Derpy and the cats (want to attempt to get the Cast Master achievement for catching 100 fish without missing any by using bait to lure the fish) but then again, I also want to craft! Update: was gonna do fishing in AC, but apparently there's a meteor shower on my island tonight, so Derpy's wishing on all the shooting stars instead...lol |
I scored some good fabric yesterday, I'm excited to use it! ^^
|
Did a terrifying, potentially stupid, but maybe also good (?) thing today when I told a homeless person it would be fine for them to use the public restroom at the museum to wash up a little.
Idk. Like, I don't want them coming here all the time to do that, but I didn't know how to say no and, because I'm here basically alone for my desk shifts, it could have been dangerous either way because if he had a weapon and/or been on drugs or have severe mental health issues, he could have tried something whether I said yes or no, so idk. Like I'm shaking a bit, but he seemed genuinely nice and grateful so hopefully it was just a one-time thing. I also said we closed 30 minutes earlier than we actually do so I had plenty of time to get him out or call for help if I needed to. But he said thanks, and left pretty quickly when I was getting ready to fake lock up, so it didn't end badly at least. |
Watching the neighbors' chickens. There are plants in their pen that they can eat from. Sometimes the food it produces is too high. So every once in a while I catch this group of chickens hopping up to reach the higher parts.
...it's the little things. |
Aww, chickens. <3
Kinda anxious about the new trademarks for Final Fantasy 7 that were made: Ever Crisis and First Soldier. I'm excited to learn more about these and really hope neither of them is a mobile game. I'm hoping someone's prediction of Ever Crisis being an expansion of the Remake part 1 is right but we will see! |
*big sigh*
I suspect, based on the text he just sent and the fact that the last time we talked was Christmas, that my dad has gone behind my back and called my job(s) to ask about my schedule. If that's truly the case and it's not a "whoops sent the text to the wrong person" situation, I'm going to be very mad and I have some choice things to say to him about it... Especially since, not only do I not live at home, but he also doesn't live in the same town as me so my schedule is none of his damn business. And I will not be making time for him until he starts treating me like an adult. |
My cat has kitty AIDS :< well, not full blown aids, but yeah.
