I have Awoken Karin... and end up almost never using her.

I'm kinda sad to look at my box and see so many good monsters that I'm essentially never going to use. I look in Ginny's box and it's the same story.

If it's not a light healer, a light god, or a dark god, I might as well not even have it, because I don't have a team to support it. I've TRIED building other teams. They're never as successful. Usually the problem is a lack of survivability; if I manage to avoid that, I can't hit hard enough to make the survivability matter. I don't even know what I'm doing wrong.

Sounds like you found your "perfect" teams and anything else doesn't cut it. Also Awoken Karin GET! :3 I evoles her last night

@Coda A lot of my teams are hit-and-run teams; they can't take hits, so they dish out damage like there's no tomorrow as often as possible. My Reincarnated Shiva team barely makes 20k HP andwith a friend since it's unplussed and not even fully leveled, yet I'm still tearing apart descendeds with this team as long as I'm not facing heavy preemptives or other mean gimmicks (I'm looking at you, Khepri). My You Yu team would have 23k HP and 1400 RCV if it had no +s. My ADQXQ team would have 19k HP without +s. orz (But I have Wedding Izanami on the team!)

Maybe you were trying to build these kinds of teams? Throw survivability out the window! Who cares about that?? (in the distance: Other teams care about it! :U) haha

I know what a sweeper team is, and yes, I've tried building a sweeper team that way, and they don't tend to work. Usually it's because they either don't hit hard enough, or they're too inconsistent to be reliable. In either case, they end up taking hits that they shouldn't have to take. And because those teams aren't light or dark, it means they get walled even worse by the off-color minibosses that GungHo loves throwing in. And if I splash to deal with off-color, then that makes it even harder to sustain the necessary damage output for a sweep.

I mean, odds are the problem is that I don't spend enough money on the game. Most of my box is descends, not REM.

@Coda which is really weird, because you've been playing for a while, right? You hit 1000 days before me, and I just hit 1000 days a week ago. Where have all of your stones been going? Because after 1000 days and $0 spent on PAD (and good collab/seasonal REM luck but below average regular REM luck), I have a ton of REM monsters and I don't even use a bunch of these guys because I've run out of team slots and I'm too lazy to keep switching out teams o_____O (not included: ~50 silver eggs; sold for YY)

Three years and change, yeah. REM pulls have ALWAYS been unkind to me. The Christmas Archangel you see me running around with is the last good REM monster I pulled. :/

I... um... also went a little ragey on the Gaia Dragon dungeon and didn't pay attention to my continues...

EDIT: Well... No, I suppose I have a few other good-ish monsters, but nothing with synergy with each other. That's the core of my problem. The pulls I DO get that aren't crap, I can't DO anything with.

So newbie, but I set a Sea Bowl Demon, Tunabowl in my team and holy moly he's wonderful in the beginning. Idk about late game but I just wait for the very end stage and one shot the boss lol.


Also, spent my stones several times lol. I'll start saving now, although it is tempting..

And can someone explain what an Awakening is? I fused my Cerberus and skill up to 54+ and Awakening 1.

Vee, ml user name is same as here. Best stuff to make teams out of as a newbie are ogres bc they become dual elements in later evolutions. Awakening is the little icons on the right side of your monster. Each does different things like enhanced orbs, skill reduction.l, hp, two prong attack, row attack and so on. Also Demon bows are used as skill up fodder for muse, arcline and other knights. Pad guide is a super handy app for pad, it gives you event tines, monster stats, evos, materials needed and skill up monsters

Tunabowl is good for you because it's intended to be a skill-up monster for a high-end creature. For a newbie, where you're comparing it to unevolved low-level monsters and you aren't yet worrying about awoken skills, it's got stats and leader skill comparable to an evolved but not ultimate-evolved monster, and the active skill is just as good on a weak monster as it is on a strong one.

Super King dragons are also pretty good at low level, because they're really not all that hard to come by (just pull the Pal Egg Machine during Enhance Carnival), they don't have to be leveled up at all so they start out strong, and they know the Double Attack Stance series of active skills.

Keeper of Rainbow is another solid monster in the same vein, but it participates in skill rotation so don't love on its active skill too much because it'll change.

I did the opposite of what I was told and used magic stones but,
I got Holy Night Santa Claus, Hera :> My first 7 star.

She's pretty good, yeah. It's a little hard to make good use of her at high level because her awakenings are crap, but she'll last you a LONG time.

Long time until god fest or something else. Oh check the rare egg shop (currency shop) there might be a bundle foe 5$ which gives 10gems, boat load of pal points and a free pull of a really good God monster.

I have ten gems. .-. I don't think I'll do a pull yet. .-.

Literally just been farming extra EXP + half stamina dungeons and leveling this entire trip to California (which includes the literal 8 hours we sat still in traffic due to a blizzard in Arizona and a large crash,and also almost dying ourselves. Lol.)
So I'm just leveling leveling leveling. Still got another 7 hours left on this trip so. I'll be sleeping soon though orz all my data went to this game.
