I did find a cool Star Wars craft book that I want to get. Just have to ask someone if I can buy it first lol ; ; ❂ •:*´¨`*:•. —¤÷(`[¤* *¤]´)÷¤— •:*´¨`*:•. |
Echo, I meant to type 'Hero' not 'Here' lol sorry
I know many Star Wars fans. A craft book for it sounds like a great idea to get. |
Sculpy and Fimo are brands of polymer clay. You bake them in the oven to harden the plastic into a permanent shape.
I made pictures by the cane method that glass makers use. For instance, if I want a bead that looks like an orange slice, I would make a small cream colored log of Polymer clay. Then I would make an orange colored log of polymer clay, and next wrap a thin sheet of cream colored polymer clay around the orange log. Then you pinch the covered log into a triangular sided log, and cut it into between six to ten equal lengths. Then you place all the triangle lengths point in around the first little cream log and press it into one big log. Lastly, you cover your new log with a thick sheet of orange polymer clay. The end of this cane log you made should look like an orange slice. Give it a day to firm up again before rolling it out small for slicing into beads or bead parts. Use a bamboo skewer for making holes, and them bake. skewers can |

I hope this place is still active, seeing the last post was on the 17th. I need a hangout with fellow crafters. ; u ;
I, myself, can do knitting, crochet, and still new with sculpey clay. |
I like papercrafts, textiles, and jewelry making. Also things like egg decorating, and candle and soap making.
|
My friend is a jewelry maker, I still have yet to see his jewelry work XD and I do mostly kandi and crochet, I rarely knit cause I find crocheting to be easier.

As for me... been working on a granny-style blanket trying to use up most of my acrylic yarn while still maintaining a somewhat not-unappealing color scheme... So far, so good, haha. With the smaller and differently-colored scraps I am just making granny squares, hoping i get enough to form a blanket... or else I could just... do something else with them. It's not like I have a shortage of blankets in my house, but I definitely have a surplus of acrylic which I don't really have much of a use for. Also knitting a pair of wrist warmers for my friend's birthday, using Knit Picks' Comfy Fingering. |
There are some commercial beads out there that are really complex.
I only made some basic milllefiori cane stuff -- a fruit slice, a sun, a crab, a lizard, etc. |
I use the plastic cheap pony beads
|
She's talking about polymer clay where the beads are basically the art.
|
oh ok oTL sorry for interrupted
|
...You didn't interrupt anything, you're free to talk about the kind of crafting you like. What do you use beads to do?
|
I make hats through leatherwork, crochet, and felt.
I would like to learn how to knit one day but it looks complicated. |
Hello, Echo. Nice to meet you.
I got some beads yesterday when I was out. I also got a magazine with a seed bead project in it that I want to make. It is a little envelope pendant stitched out of seed beads for a necklace. |
