We've got a few events going on this weekend: BritishFest and Railroad Days. I've e-mailed my dad about the Railroad Days, because he likes trains. I'm volunteering at BritFest.

Fauxreal 06-24-2014 10:25 AM

BritFest?! That sounds... english.

It's a celebration of all things British. I'm scrambling to get my Doctor Who scarf done so people can spot me easily (Not that they wouldn't be able to anyway, with my Jetfire wings as well. lol) as I go about the con as a volunteer.

Really? Aw. Well, it won't be the first phrase I've gotten the order mixed up on. LOL I'll even sometimes garble ones in languages that I speak fluently.

Are rugrats suppose to make your head swim?

Tam I am 06-25-2014 03:06 PM

I don't know if they're supposed to. But I know they sure can.

Den 06-25-2014 05:48 PM

And that right there is why I will never be a mom. Most days, I barely have the energy to do things for me.

Hello, all! What's up?
*Looks for Vivi and Kiki to tickle*

Edit: Added a link to documents on the Salem Witch Trials, as well as tutorials on Python, the Unity gaming engine (Most common indie game engines: Unreal, Unity, RPG Maker, and FPS Creator)...as well as Flash and some relics of modding.

-drops in- Hey all.

...Yeah, I don't really plan on ever getting married, haha.

Lawtan 06-26-2014 01:05 PM

I actually love kids, but yeah...I sort of have a "Venus, you can go to Tartarus" thing. I may adopt if/when I have a stable living.

Setting up stuff at BritishFest. I'm getting volunteer hours for helping. I've been doing stuff since 8 AM... so if I go back to where I'm staying around 4, that's 8 hours. Which means I'll just need to do 8 more hours of work over the next three days to have my ticked refunded. :)

Lawtan 06-26-2014 03:55 PM

Apparently, I have a strong negative trigger to surprise touching. Especially when it has force. Especially when it is on the front of my body.

...I just had my mind halfway shut down, blindly put distance between myself and the situation, couldn't speak, and broke down...because a dog I'd trust with my life jumped up on me in over-excitement. This was not a conscious decision.

Could someone please explain why?

Tam I am 06-26-2014 09:05 PM

Lawtan, that sounds like a flashback. *HUG* I kinda did similar awhile back when someone waved pliers at me and offered dental work, only I was clinging to another friend and shaking.

Den and others, I did all my kid raising before I hit Den's age, methinks.

Den 06-26-2014 09:06 PM

*tips over* Seven and a half hours of setting up things for a local convention. means I'm almost halfway to getting my ticket price completely refunded.

So once you have it all clocked in, you can goof off?
