Corvus 05-03-2011 12:53 PM

Corvus is the latin word for crows or ravens, and though not precisely worshipped by them Ravens were held in high spiritual regard by the ancient Roman people. They would circle in wheels over battlefields and thus were used to represent how life and death is cyclical.

They were also held in high regards by the Germanic and Norse people. The companion animals of Odin or Wotan were two raven that brought him news.
