Doesn't matter, it's different to know what they're saying via translation versus knowing just being able to take it in as I'm listening and all that.

Yeah, it is kind of stupid I think they said they used to be more into them or something, whatever. No one goes in that thread anywhere, and stays to talk. I wish on the avatar forums that there was more actual discussion of music xD. I mean in the music forum sections... In the specific threads and whatnot.

I don't like music on youtube unless someone is just showing me a song or something. It is not a way to listen to music, for me. For one thing, you don't get albums that way. You get songs. And at most, a few dozen...

That one I do not have. It's one of the older ones I think. I have Black Holes and Revelations (album) and The Resistance (album). On my computer, anyway. I love The Resistance album as a whole. It has a three part symphony at the end.

Hey everyone ~
So I painted with acrylics for the first time in forever. A piece of cardboard is what I used. I'm curious if anyone has experimented painting with spray paints? I'm thinking of trying this out. The paint is cheap and you get a lot out of it. I feel like I need to broaden my artistic talent. |

With Muse most of what I get out of the songs is in the shape of feelings rather than concrete stories or specific situations. The lyrics and the music are somewhere between fiercely political and social commentary mixed with love songs, and the sort of music where the lyrics aren't really important.
I don't really paint much... I have an expandable easel which can be carried like a briefcase and contains paints and palette, but I don't like having the paints out, and the solvent is malodorous and headache-inducing, it's all so messy, and I just don't know what I want to paint. I have oils though, not acrylics. That's what my class was in. But generally I prefer more to create things... work with my hands in predictable patterns to form usable or at least slightly practical things. As much as I would love to create art it's a little bit overwhelming. Perhaps instead of using my canvas, I should just use acrylics and cardboard... |

Well that's kind of the point, but I can see why one might not like it. But if the lyrics are something that bothers me emotionally I just don't listen to/like the song.

If I am not much in favor of the lyrics, it kind of spoils the song for me. That is why I like light and happy songs.

The lyrics are the song, for me. At least a good part of it... Liking a song without liking the lyrics is like liking a book without liking the story or the characters, to me.

I don't like using the bus because I never know exactly when it is going to come and it entails a lot of waiting. My work is never at the same time, sometimes I go in at 8:30 AM sometimes I go in at 11... and it would end up taking as much time and energy walking to the place where I can be picked up by the bus as it does to ride my bike. Obviously those htings are mostly true of my specific situation, but...
