D: you should keep the physical cards on you and give your doctors office scanned copies or duplicates of the card for their files.

thats totally irresponsible of them to lose it.

their office should have been able to make copies of them during your visit,IIRC its more or less a law in every state that copies of the proper documents must be made in office (as to avoid forgery or stolen ID) on the first visit,no matter if you plan to be a recurring visitor or not.

well they still cant blame you, they're the ones that allowed the visit to proceed with the understanding that you had insurance but werent able to provide info,but also without informing you they would be doing the visit and billing YOU for it, wich is also something they should have informed you of prior to even letting you in the back.

Well, sounds like the lady is on your side,and if things do wrong she'll vouch for you. and that is still weird that they would ask you of that, but lke you said, your towns the type that they trust you.

I don't like abortion either, myself. I think that if the baby has a chance at a healthy life, you should give it that. Even if you don't want to keep it, people can still give it up for adoption, and give a child a chance at life and happiness.
