Pathosis 09-25-2012 09:04 PM

That's actually a good question...

Hmmmm. Probably Darkly Dreaming Dexter.
It's easier for me to finish fanfictions...eheheh.

shay_almost 09-25-2012 09:25 PM

Last book I finished was Marked by P.C Cast and Kristin Cast. I'm reading the next one right now.

Liena 09-28-2012 12:52 PM

I haven't read much as of late, I believe I read one book its hard to remember the title, about a woman who ends up with a man that the queen fancies. Full of drama, and betrayal.

Ritsuka 09-29-2012 10:54 PM

The last book that I finished was Girl On Fire. I really enjoyed this book, and I'm on the third in the series. I know The Hunger Games is big right now, but it's not going to stop me from enjoying such a wondeful read.

Qyoo 09-30-2012 12:45 PM

i haven't finished a paperback book in a while but fanfiction is literature too so
the last "novel-length" fanfiction i finished was uhm...
the other side of the heart
gosh i love homestuck

xZombie Queen 09-30-2012 08:57 PM

Last book was...
Anime - Death Note v. 5
Actual book - Swoon by Nina Malkin (I think.)

Lestrade 10-02-2012 09:47 AM

Wait, do you mean manga Death Note?

Asami 10-02-2012 02:46 PM

I finished unearthly Aa few days ago. It was really great. O: I cant wait to read the next one.

termyte 10-18-2012 11:33 PM

i just reread for like the 8th time is harry potter and the goblet of fire.

Poggio 10-19-2012 01:03 AM

I just finished Castle in the air.

So it was not really a squeal to Howls moving Castle in the sense that every one made it sound. Its more like another independent story that just so happen to have the same characters in the story. I likes it, I thought it was clever.

Nexess 10-19-2012 02:35 AM

I just finished reading the Mark of Athena. It's part of a book series by Rick Riordan, focuses on greek and roman gods and their children, but it's set in modern time and is actually very well written, considering it's supposed to be for teens...

Arikana 10-19-2012 01:36 PM

The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien for school. XP

termyte 10-20-2012 12:14 AM

Twilight: the graphic novel. volume 1-2

Amoena 10-31-2012 01:39 AM

Double Indemnity for me >.>;; For those of you who haven't read it.. think of any "film noir" and that's basically it, but in print. xD Loved all the old lingo though!

I really enjoyed it, despite having to read it for a class. Luckily, it's Film Genres so we get to watch the movie now too :)!

Natsunaine 10-31-2012 05:30 PM

Hmm well if manga counts it would have been the latest fairy tail chapter, if not then hunger games i believe..

Darth Vader 11-02-2012 08:23 PM

I haven't read a book for a while, now, but the last book I read fully (that wasn't a college textbook) was probably... uhhh, it was called Dandelion, which was about a work horse than grows up to become a famous and prized race horse. It was a really good and inspirational story.

Honey 11-03-2012 12:20 PM

Tigers and Devils was the last book I read (reread, actually). Just for fun~

Lioshika 11-03-2012 11:28 PM

America & the Pill.

It was a class assignment.

Katame Shiraga 11-23-2012 11:33 PM

Uh....I think it was the second book in the Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan. "Throne of the Sun" or "Throne of Ra" or something like that.

Agent Night 11-24-2012 08:54 PM

After Dark by Haruka Murakami

Katame Shiraga 11-24-2012 09:23 PM

>.> *Snicker* Ironic that the music and literary industries share products with the same name. (Referring to Agent Nights post and the song titled "After Dark" by Asian Kung-Fu Generation.)

Agent Night 11-25-2012 12:33 AM

Possibly not entirely a coincidence considering how Murakami uses music to shape the atmosphere of his novels. He does tend to favor jazz and classical music, but there is always the possibility XD

Katame Shiraga 11-25-2012 04:49 AM

>.> After Dark is Enka (J-Pop), though.

Lestrade 11-25-2012 02:32 PM

...wait, is it enka or jpop? They're not the same thing and I've never heard of Asian Kung-Fu Generation doing enka o.O

John Watson 11-25-2012 06:10 PM

Isn't enka that like...traditional sounding music? That seems very different than J-pop or any kind of pop music to me.

Agent Night 11-25-2012 07:30 PM

Enka is also used for a classification for more modern labels and can actually include jpop, though some jpop artists are surprised by this as well. However, it wouldn't be unusual for Haruka Murakami to use jpop music such as Asian Kung-Fu Generation as a tone setter in his novels considering he's a Japanese writer

Kaunisenkeli 11-29-2012 07:34 PM

I just finished Daughter of Hounds by Caitlin R. Kiernan. It wasn't bad, and I decided to check out some of her other work.

Cora 12-07-2012 06:11 PM

Ijust finished reading Bram Stokers Dracula for the hell of it this morning.

Xurxo 12-07-2012 11:26 PM

Mockingjay - agesssss ago. I'm working through Game of Thrones, noww, though.

Cora 12-08-2012 12:02 AM

Ilove the TV shows of Game of Thrones....I should add that to my read list.

Xurxo 12-08-2012 11:22 AM

It's a pretty good read. I would say that the TV show well captures the book (at least the first one - have not read or seen the second).

Kaunisenkeli 12-08-2012 09:12 PM

I just finished Caitlin Kiernan's The Red Tree. Altogether a better book than Daughter of Hounds.

Lioshika 12-12-2012 12:32 AM

Since I haven't had the chance lately to post:
The Trouble With Harry
Noble Intentions
Noble Destiny
Improper English
Birds of Paradise (novella)

All of these written by Katie MacAlister

All done in at least the last 3 weeks or less...

NikkoGallarado 12-12-2012 06:42 PM

This very last book I have fished reading is The guardian's: book two E. Aster Bunnymund and the Warrior Eggs at the Earth's Core.

NeonSynth 12-17-2012 05:47 PM

The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
-Douglas Adams

Lioshika 12-19-2012 12:18 AM

Nightshine -- Lynn Viehl

Tears 12-23-2012 07:16 AM

Something for English class. Lord of The Flies, by William Golding. It was actually a great read, got me thinking and all, but as my grademates' reactions or thereof lack of proved, it's probably not for everyone.

Lioshika 12-25-2012 11:26 PM

Nightborn (Lords of the Darkyn #1) -- Lynn Viehl (12/25)

Edit: Add:
Omega Games -- SL Viehl (forgot what date)
Crystal Healer -- SL Viehl (12/29)

unknown.exe 12-31-2012 01:19 AM

Lord of the Flies by William Golding.
Picked it up for the funny title but goddamn them for what happened to Piggy. DX

Lestrade 01-01-2013 06:05 PM

Re-read The Hobbit. It took me about 3 hours. I would rather read it three times than watch three Peter Jackson movies >.>
