littl3chocobo 12-25-2016 01:37 PM

wow, how many will come?

Moonshadow 12-25-2016 02:40 PM

It's almost all over except for the eating.
My awesome gift: 2 light switch plates with Van Gogh's Starry Night on them.
That's all I wanted. And of course turkey with all the fixin's!

littl3chocobo 12-25-2016 04:00 PM

very nice! i got diarama stuff~

Moonshadow 12-25-2016 07:21 PM

Oh that is nice. What do you plan to make with it?

littl3chocobo 12-25-2016 09:14 PM

another cottage with a large yard X''D i am nothing if not predictable, hahaha

Moonshadow 12-25-2016 10:06 PM

Predictable is good. If that is what you like to do, do it. Have you made others? Do you have any pics?

littl3chocobo 12-26-2016 03:59 AM

a few XD

Moonshadow 12-26-2016 10:26 PM

Wow those are really pretty. Do you just make them for yourself, or do you sell them at craft shows or online?

Lee 12-26-2016 11:44 PM

You could totally sell them. I know I'd love to buy one for my BJD model.

littl3chocobo 12-27-2016 12:04 AM

shipping would be murder otherwise i would sell furniture and plants and stuff(hardly anyone sells anything in that size) XD at the moment i am just doing it for fun XD

Lee 12-27-2016 12:10 AM

I feel you there. My sister lives in Alaska, I can't send so much as a feather for under $40.

Moonshadow 12-27-2016 12:41 AM

Too bad it would be too much to ship, because you could definitely sell them.
Have you thought about doing local craft shows. But anyway, it seems like so much fun to do.

Lee 12-27-2016 02:41 AM

What kind of cottage is it going to be? Anything special in mind for the garden?

Death by Mirrors 12-27-2016 05:57 AM

There'll be my aunt, uncle, two cousins, cousin's wife and baby, and perhaps the wife's mother and grandmother are coming along with them.

Yeah, shipping is ridiculous at my place too. I once discovered an interesting site where you do swaps with other people (which is just like some kind of themed secret santa all year round), but most if not all packages would go international, soo... x.x

But yep, look at local craft faires. Your dioramas are quite cool!

Lee 12-27-2016 12:31 PM

Wow, full house.

Moonshadow 12-27-2016 05:58 PM

Cho: makes me want to try my hand at them. I would do a Buddhism/Buddha theme. Or even a Hindu theme. They are so pretty when done aren't they?

Lee 12-27-2016 07:49 PM

Like rock gardens and stuff?

Fulkth 12-27-2016 08:56 PM

Does anyone know what the free item for yesterday was?

I think I may have missed it...

littl3chocobo 12-27-2016 09:01 PM

lee's sister knows my sorrow X''D

here ll the miniature shops are closing down, not sure i would be able to find a craft faire around here X''D

full house indeed, hahaha. i would totally recommend it though if you have the money and the tolerance for glues XD

Lee 12-27-2016 09:28 PM

You can make your own paste from flour, gelatin, and water, as well.

The wings, I believe. Winter Noel Wings.

littl3chocobo 12-27-2016 09:33 PM

that would not work for most things, many parts need flexibility, ease of application and/or the ability to dry fast. paper mache paste would not do at all for a 2cm paper box hahaha

If its Winter Noel Wings Ihave two I can gift you one if you need it.
PM me if you need it.

Lee 12-28-2016 02:06 AM

It's not paper mache paste, it's actual glue. You have to monkey around with the ratio, but it's like Elmer's, done right.

Moonshadow 12-28-2016 12:12 PM

I have found this guide very helpful
Glue Guide

littl3chocobo 12-28-2016 04:31 PM

well, the shart would be better if it could specify fast-dry glues and if uhu was on the list(it's a great fast-dry glue in most of it's forms) but it's pretty useful otherwise ^^

Moonshadow 12-28-2016 09:31 PM

I've used the chart before, but now I pretty much know which glue to use for what.

littl3chocobo 12-28-2016 09:36 PM

-nods- you do get a knack for it eventually XD

Lee 12-28-2016 10:46 PM

That does sound helpful.

Moonshadow 12-28-2016 11:09 PM

I found a really good jewelry glue, I mean it stays on forever.

Lee 12-28-2016 11:13 PM

How toxic is it to animals? I have a dog that eats everything.

littl3chocobo 12-28-2016 11:24 PM

does it stay bonded in water?

Moonshadow 12-28-2016 11:49 PM

Its called E6000.
I don't know if its toxic and I'm pretty sure it would stay bonded in water.

Lee 12-29-2016 12:13 AM

I'll have to look more into it.

Moonshadow 12-29-2016 12:23 AM

Yes you don't want toxic stuff hurting your pet.
But it is a great glue for stones, I glue them to a bale and they are on forever!

Lee 12-29-2016 12:25 AM

What's a bale?

littl3chocobo 12-29-2016 12:41 AM

it's pretty toxic XD i avoid it as i get glue on my hands and i am a nail-biter

bale is a type of wire

Moonshadow 12-29-2016 12:43 AM

oh god I can never describe a bale hahaha
but you glue it onto a stone and then you can make a pendant.

Kaderin Triste 12-29-2016 02:03 AM

In general, I don't worry about the toxicity of my glues just because I always put them in a drawer so the cats can't get at them...
But I can understand wanting to have a good, non-toxic one, too.

littl3chocobo 12-29-2016 06:05 AM

it's harder for me, i like to wear stuff XD my cat is a cuddlebug AND an eater. it's a dire combo for dangly stuff

Lee 12-29-2016 01:47 PM

I gathered you used it to make a pendant. Searching bale wire on google doesn't give me the expected results. Is it just a gauge of wire...?
