No more pumpkin spice.

APPLE FLAVOR EVERYTHING IS THE FUTURE.

Espy 10-30-2018 04:43 AM

...Citrus is better.

Coda 10-30-2018 08:02 AM

apple > citrus > pumpkin > pumpkin spice

Though good pumpkin spice isn't bad.

Gallagher 10-30-2018 08:38 AM

i agree with coda's verdict

Espy 10-30-2018 11:50 AM

Some apple stuff is cool. But apple anything is just overshadowed by the fact that apple juice, for some reason, and in quantities over maybe half a cup, make me really nauseous.

...Is preference for flavors hereditary? Might have got the citrus thing from my mom.

Coda 10-30-2018 03:58 PM

It's not genetically hereditary but it is something that can be picked up through subtle social cues during childhood.

Glitch 10-30-2018 05:46 PM

BuI dunnooo. I hate cooked fruit, especially cooked apples. My dad also hates cooked fruit and so does his mom. Everyone else in my family loves fruit pies and stuff though. I only found out a couple years ago that my dad disliked cooked fruit when I was saying no to apple pie.

But that isn’t a sick feeling.

And this has nothing to do with galas work xD

Illusion 10-30-2018 08:59 PM

Down with pumpkin! All hail App'o'lanterns!

I don't want to pressure you or anything
but it's like, the 8th
when are december monthlies coming

Gallagher 12-08-2018 05:55 PM

mm i got them done early this morning and left a note for if anyone was available before i woke up, but it looks like no one was

we rescued a dog recently that needs a lot of attention, so my process was slowed to a crawl, lol

they're going up tonight though, and obviously they'll stay in shop longer next month to make up for this delay

mdom 12-08-2018 06:09 PM

Thank you
If there was a 'general staff thread' I'd post there btw
I don't want you to feel like I'm calling you out specifically

Gallagher 12-08-2018 06:25 PM

nah u gud

i'm art admin, so anything specifically item related, you can bother me about. it's literally part of the job.

i never like making delay announcements because it feels like "i could be working on the items instead of spending my time drafting this" every time, so i generally don't

Biomecha 12-08-2018 06:28 PM

May I ask what kind of dog, and is it doing okay?

Gallagher 12-08-2018 06:40 PM

she's one of those big corso dogs. which is part of why she needs so much attention, she has to adjust to the whole family so we all have to bond with her or else she might get the idea she has to protect only one of us from everyone else instead of the house being a safe space.

so, the story goes, she's a breeder that was kept in a small back yard with 2-3 other dogs just as big as her, and they'd have food thrown at them once in a while. that was about as much socialization she got.

my brother had one of her sons, but that doggo died suddenly and unexpectedly while he was still young, it was a real heartbreak.

so, big mama rogue gets to the end of her breeding time, she's 8 and she's gonna get tossed in the pound. my bro decides he's gonna take her, because a grown dog that's neglected and overweight and known for problems with strangers? yeah, no one was gonna adopt her, she'd just get put down.

now, my bro ain't exactly a great person. he's not really there for his dogs, either, tho they're not kept outside all day and all night. he has like 8 of them or something now, it's getting to be a serious animal hoarder situation, and he doesn't know how to train dogs. and he has a temper. so he's been known to take a belt to his dogs.

which, even on its own, disgusting. but especially with big dogs like rogue that are made to protect you, it's an unforgivable sin. but that's not a situation we can do anything about without breaking our nana's heart because my bro is her favorite child.

so anyway, my bro is moving out to a farm 4 hours away, and rogue physically could not make that trip. so we agreed to take her.

she's been here since late last month (literally since the moment i needed to sit down and knock out the monthlies, yikes lmao) and so far, she's adjusting well. now that she's actually getting positive attention for the first time in her life, she needs it pretty much constantly. she's scared whenever people have to leave for a long time because she's not used to us always being here, she's used to us visiting. so one of us has to look after her and check up on her often when the others go.

she has more energy and is starting to lose weight and adjust to our little family, but it's definitely a process. we only just got her to start seeing nana as part of the family, because nana's been plain not spending any time with rogue, so rogue started to see her as a potential stranger-danger. but, as nana's do, she solved it by giving treats...

which...

ok... but that does get in the way of helping her lose weight...

sigh. oh well. we'll figure it out.

Biomecha 12-08-2018 06:50 PM

Ah, unfortunate to see that her upbringing along with the others wasn't better. But glad to see she's getting much better care now despite the challenges.

Gallagher 12-08-2018 07:07 PM

this is her favorite spot, at the feet of her peoples in the game room. we got her a toddler bed to lay on since she's too big for the pet beds we have, and it was cheaper than getting like one of those specifically for pets giant beds.

her feet are like clubs and her face is always drooping.

Biomecha 12-08-2018 08:30 PM

So cute. That's one thing that makes dogs better than cats...they actually use the beds you give them.

It looks like you'll be gaining some muscle from having to carry in all the dog food for her.

Gallagher 12-08-2018 09:49 PM

hah, yeah, can you imagine?

as it is, we move all her bedding and bed from room to room so she's never on the hard floor.

Illusion 12-09-2018 03:00 AM

Is there any way to request the fluffy shawl on the Empress item be separated?

Gallagher 12-09-2018 03:09 AM

there is, yes. you looking for an all purpose fluff collar?

KittyBeary 12-09-2018 03:32 AM

My cat uses the box bed I gave him. <3 He's the goodest boy.

Death by Mirrors 12-09-2018 07:54 AM

I second the all purpose fluff collar, as I can see a lot of potential in that.

And I'm glad the doggo has such a great environment now.

Witchchylde 12-16-2018 12:34 PM

I could see even this outfit I'm already wearing being improved with that fluffy furry collar!

KittyBeary 12-19-2018 07:56 AM

Yes a fluffy collar! :3

Illusion 12-23-2018 08:45 AM

I believe every kimono item is slightly messed up on the male avatar, the left side shoulder is showing skin pixels outside of the kimono.

Gallagher 12-23-2018 08:53 AM

there is one pixel at the top edge of the sleeve that can be interpreted as either out of place or showing a curve in the fabric, on our right (avatar's left) side. there is an edge on our left (avatar's right) side with light shading that, in some color variations, can appear to be missed pixels on light skinned bases.

mdom 01-14-2019 10:36 PM

are you ok

Gallagher 01-15-2019 02:33 AM

uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i have been unwell and i thought my computer had exploded and then my nana's computer really did and things have been like super crazy for the last couple months and im very sorry that things have not been happening hhhhhhhhhh

KittyBeary 01-15-2019 06:56 AM

It's ok Galla!! ;u; We understand. But yikes.

mdom 01-15-2019 11:41 AM

D:
I'm sorry
what can we do to help?
rain dance???

Gallagher 01-15-2019 12:44 PM

well, we officially have my nana's computer sorted, which is the best news because she works from home and without her able to work we couldn't afford. like. food. or bills. which is bad.

she managed to get her PC infected really badly while trying to update drivers for her new fax. everything's good now, but yikes, we were super afraid it was something way worse for a hot minute there.

which was double scary because we're not exactly doing well with the bills to begin with right now. we've had to pull from her retirement within these last few weeks, which is never good, but even with that we've gotten to the point of $17 in the bank, which is always really fucking scary, let alone when you're already behind on bills.

lots of scary things

we're also sort of adjusting to the dog we gotttt last month? from my bro, who has been a challenge in her own ways. since 1. she's an adult dog, 2. she's a LARGE adult dog, 3. she was badly abused and neglected which always means many issues, 4. we got her really badly overweight so everything has been a struggle until she started to trim down, and 5. because she's a bit up there and has been used as a non-stop breeder for so long, everything is kind of loose in her nether regions, and accidents have been a thing. especially the extra messy kinds as we figure out what foods she personally can and cannot handle. always a fun part of new pet having.

our other dog, rosie, is still sort of recovering from a super bad allergic reaction she had, too. her tail is almost entirely bald and we don't know if it'll ever grow back, but even like this it looks way better than it did before. it was entirely scabbed up and looking kind of green-ish and well on its way to serious infection.

eehhhh

also

my tumtum hurts cuz i gots the bleed real bad this month and everything has me exhausted

on the plus, we will definitely be having monthlies still this month (i'm planning on finishing them up today), and of course they will be in extra-long to make up for this extended delay. i'd never rip y'all out of buying time because of my personal issues, and i'm extremely sorry as it is that this has taken so long. it's entirely on me. glitch has been working extremely hard to keep up with the demands of the site, and none of this is on her. just me.

Stabbsworth 01-15-2019 01:11 PM

oof, that sucks, man. hopefully you feel better soon, and hopefully your dog recovers!

Illusion 01-15-2019 06:25 PM

Galla just needs to suck it up and go back to her job selling human body parts to the black market.

The world needs her specialty.

Espy 01-15-2019 10:21 PM

sit your ass down and get some rest, galla, we can wait for as long as you need; tris isn't exactly a stranger to everyone having actual real life issues and we understand.

KittyBeary 01-16-2019 12:18 AM

We can wait forever. Just take care of yourself. ;u;

Espy 01-18-2019 11:21 PM

...hm. there may have been some loud yelling from Espy today wrt the monthlies

........aaaahhhhh

.............AAAAAAHHHHH

Gallagher 01-19-2019 01:27 PM

oh good, i am glad screaming was involved in this reaction

Espy 01-21-2019 03:40 AM

part of it might have been, the screens gave me war flashbacks to the UT true pacifist boss

Gallagher 01-21-2019 06:31 PM

good

always scream at the items

Honestly, that was one of my favorite boss battles in the game!
