Yeah, I'm on a lot of avatar sites. Some I don't even remember. But I have accounts on Ernya, Zan, Mene, Crys and like quite a few more. |
@Bulby: I have accounts on a number of sites as well, most of which I can't even remember. The only reason I keep remembereing I have accounts on Ernya and Soliana is because people keep mentioning those sites xD. If they didn't, I'd have forgotten they even existed in the first place xD.

Haha. I tend to sort of find an item I want and post 'til I can get it then sort of give up. |
@Bulby: It seems I do the same thing here on Tris xD. But, normally I get side-traced when it comes to quests and just spend all my virtual in-game currency on other items >.>... I did manage to get enough Aurum together for my first quested item(s) here though :3. I just need to find a seller for the second one ^^;.

I'm just having a mess of an avatar 'til I get to know the items and whatnot. I'm pretty sure there's not an avi builder so that's a thing that makes it harder. |
@Bulby: Yeah. Browsing the shops here isn't that easy either as well >.<. I think that's one of the reasons I'm questing the tea time set, besides liking the items, it's easier to work with a set then several different items most of the time ^^;.

@Bulby: I'm not sure, I haven't been on the site for a long time so, maybe there is one in the making already...? Also, Easter is coming soon and most avatar sites do have an event set aside for it (I'm not sure if Tris does though ^^:).

Ooh, easter. <3 I'm not a fan of easter eggs any more though. ): And I'm not religious at all so ehh. Literally only like most holidays due to avatar site events. |
@Bulby: It's the same with me as well xD. I only really like the commercial aspects on holidays to be honest >.> xD. I only really know when most holidays are due to events on avatar sites xD. Free items and a fun way to earn them = yay! As far as I'm concerned xD.

You can wish that there will be a dream avi creator all you want but if you look at how many items we have, the amount of poses, and colors that will take months maybe years to develop. We are not like other sites that have one. They had one and started to add items to it. We dont and we have tons of items that would have to be opened posed and saved a lot...

@hyjin: You have a point with that >.<. I think it would still be possible though. Crys, for example, had a dream avatar creator that got the code for the layering/items/etc. from the actual site, so if the site updated the commons then the avatar creator would automatically update as well, so the only items that needed to be added manually were the DIs and event items.
Though... I could very well also be remembering things wrongly... |
But we have several common stores with hundreds of items, event items, di, yi, rigs, tokens, and then items that were handed out on special days... so still a very long and very time consuming thing. Not really worth doing it this late in

@hyjin: True... that would take a lot of time... I think another avatar site (I forgot what it's called) had this option where you could ghost items into the inventory to try them on and make an avatar with them but, obviously, you didn't truly posses the items and making and saving an avatar with them was impossible. But, the problem remains that the DIs wouldn't be able to be added to such a system (at least I don't think it would be possible.
So, I guess, it really would be far too much of a hassle to make one now... |
Th*e ghost item idea sounds interesting, and maybe a little easier to implement. Though with tris invos lagging out the bigger they are, having a ghost invo of all items may be horrible o.o

I would just shower you in items, but I gave them all away. As I do. Only got what I'm wearing now.

even back when the item catalog was more manageable that was not a go, the site head, or at least one of them now, coda never implemented one since the focus of the community was the users not the items and an avi-creater would not only misrepresent us by putting more weight on the items it would also make it easier for people to come in /only/ wanting items
