Mead is awesome. And it's actually not too difficult to make at home.

Ouch! That sounds nearly as vicious as engineering. *Hug*

*thinks about how mead and need rhyme* No. I don't need a worse headache.

Angel Spirit Girl 06-08-2014 08:37 PM

Tickets I need more than some mead.

Tam I am 06-09-2014 12:01 AM

LOL. Me too.

When did the keyblade come out?

Den 06-09-2014 12:56 AM

Mead's nice... takes awhile to go from fresh and undrinkable to tasty honey wine though.

Tam I am 06-09-2014 04:10 PM

I kinda wonder if I'd actually be able to drink it, because honey doesn't agree with me.

Hi all, I'm popping in for a moment.

Here's two interesting things:

The Dark Ages - were not Dark

Also, getting mixed origins of the term "Dark Ages" - one being a poet who write about the time since Rome with the belief that since Rome, life sucked. (I, on the other hand, would resent being called Roman)

Another would be that the Puritans used the term to describe the time before their "wisdom/enlightenment" - these were the same people who effectively crash-landed in the wrong place (Pilgrims at Plymouth), and played a large role in the Salem Witch Trials.

Tam I am 06-10-2014 02:25 AM

I always heard that the Dark Ages were called that because it was a time of very little literacy.

Lawtan 06-10-2014 04:08 AM

As sort of noted by the links, that apparently is not the case - in fact, a major development (spaces between words and punctuation) were established at that time, making it easier to read works.

Tam I am 06-10-2014 02:24 PM

Huh. Well, there was also the theory that it was called the Dark Ages because of the Black Death. (Yes, I know, I should just read. But the migraine is trying to make itself known. Ask Den. I've barely even been RPing).

Between the two of us, Hurricane Season is kicking our butts in various new, inventive ways. *curls up in blanket nest*

Tam I am 06-11-2014 08:15 PM

Three tries before I remember what I'm in the kitchen looking for. I stood in HMV today with a blank look on my face as I slowly and painstakingly backtracked a thought trail to see which movie I wanted to buy.

Lawtan 06-11-2014 09:11 PM

;_;
I can sympathize. Sort of been switching back and forth for my mother and myself.

*Gives Tam and Den hugs*

Tam I am 06-12-2014 03:14 PM

*wanly* Yay, hug! *rubs eyes* Ugh, how can EYES feel shaky?

Den 06-12-2014 03:28 PM

*flopsnuggles Lawtan* I'm swiftly losing the ability to 'can' today. went to what was supposed to be a group interview only to find out that they'd misplaced my phone number, so I never got a time to come in... and I just feel tired and cruddy.

Tam I am 06-12-2014 03:35 PM

It's a tired and cruddy convention in Lawtan's library.

What book're you reading right now? The non interactive books I'm reading is 'The Absentee', by Maria Edgeworth. And This one, which I think would be good for the library here. It's a lovely old book, and reading it that way was about as good as reading it in hardcopy.
