I looooove broccoli.

It smells awful, but tastes delicious!

Yuki 08-20-2010 01:02 PM

Yeah. :B It doesn't taste much like other vegetables. It could be meat. lol I don't get why most kids hate it. Spinach too. I have always loved it and all kids hated me for it cause the school forced us to eat vegetables with every meal and we couldn't throw away anything.

johnny 08-20-2010 01:05 PM

I don't think there's a vegetable that I don't like.

I never understood the "kids hate vegetables" thing. I think if that stereotype would go away, kids would stop thinking they have to hate vegetables because all the other kids do. Because there's nothing in the flavor of most vegetables that kids should dislike.

Yuki 08-20-2010 01:12 PM

Yeah but in many places they give kids only fucking fried nuggets, fish and burgers and crap. I'm glad we don't in Sweden. The food can be pretty bad but at least it's healthy. On later years they have had lots of fresh veggies to eat as well as the food. :B But even if we don't get spoiled with junk food here some kids just have to hate the healthy stuff anyway. It's stupid. ( Well they do seem get spoiled in many school in the UK and US, I learnt that from Jamie Oliver xD ) Well anyway, even if you don't get it in school many kids might get that junk at home so they will hate veggies anyway. But now people have gotten some health mania and it's popular with fruity things instead of candy. :B

I have to admit we went to mc donalds like every weekend when I was little, but only once and we only hot a happy meal. I never got fat. But if you do eat it everyday...who knows...I don't think I'd want to...yeah...

Sadrain 08-20-2010 01:16 PM

Oh, Plushie, I'm sorry. D: >:

Sadrain 08-20-2010 01:17 PM

Oh, i liked vegetables pretty much as kid, too, not all, but most. C: I still do. x3

Yuki 08-20-2010 01:18 PM

I also though about something else. In like China and India people can't afford much meat, some don't eat becuase of religion but some simply can't buy it but they can eat vegetables...so there the kids may not have any choice. :B lol Fish and veggies and rice everyday.

My school(s) gave us trashy, greasy food, but my mother is an excellent cook and always makes sure that our dinners are pretty well-balanced. There's usually a protein (meat), a vegetable, and a starch. We rarely have anything that's like, a burger and fries for dinner, and the only time I get "fast" food is in the food court at the mall. I am quite a sucker for a chicken place called "Chik-Fil-A" here. P:

The problem is parents who don't know how to eat right are having kids who don't eat right because of the parents. I had a friend in elementary school who literally only ate flash-frozen foods that came in boxes from the supermarket. Chicken nuggets, french fries, fish fingers, etc. Oh, and also hotdogs and (shiver) sandwiches made of bologna, potato chips, and ketchup. Their diet was disgusting.

Yuki 08-20-2010 01:24 PM

If I was a parent in the US I'd send my kid to school with a lunch box. No way they are gonna eat crap everyday. :B I'd raise them to like only healthy stuff.

Sadrain 08-20-2010 01:25 PM

We are fed rather well in our schools (at least the one I attended to) but most kids preferred to not pay for the actual lunch, but for pizza and and hot dogs and such stuff in cafeteria. >o>

You can;t force someone to like the ehalthy stuff. x3 Forbidden stuff seems the best, too. I liked hot dogs and such, too, till i grew over it.

Yuki 08-20-2010 01:26 PM

That's...lame. <_< They should serve junk food max once per week.

johnny 08-20-2010 01:32 PM

I never bought real lunch at school.

I either bought a bag of potato chips (in middle school, I had potato chips or nothing at all) or in high school, I brought a bottle of water and stole food from my friends. : D

The cafeteria meals weren't good on my stomach at all, so I avoided them.

Yuki 08-20-2010 01:33 PM

I skipped lunch in middle school most of them time as well, they were worried so they gave me free buns with lettuce, ham and cheese. :B

Logan 08-20-2010 01:36 PM

Im glad i lost 130lbs in total after i graduated from highschool and i was almost at obese level. >3> *blames school and parents*
