The one who takes care of them is going into a mental hospital for a week (or more knowing her) and so the rats need someone to take care of them. I love animals so I offered, but I need to tidy up the space where their cage'll go.

It's fine. The doctors say she's schizophrenic, which is believable, but she's also very much a drama queen so I don't think her condition has worsened to the point that she's acting like it is.
