Well just keep pestering them. Experience isn't always necessary!

Lucid: 06-29-2011 10:06 PM

yeah, everyone's got to have a first job. otherwise, nobody would EVER have experience! the good hire...ers should overlook experience for responsibility and work ethic.

Feythfull 06-29-2011 10:08 PM

it's so annoying when all the jobs of one type say they want to much experience but if they all what experience how are you supposed to get experience???

Serra Britt 06-29-2011 10:32 PM

-nods- This is a less busy hotel so it wouldn't be terrible to have a less experienced but eager person employed. I worked 4 years each at two different jobs so I would hope they'd see that as "not a quitter".

Lucid: 06-29-2011 10:36 PM

yeah, sticking with a job for 4 years is pretty dedicated. My dad's been with Tmobile for almost 4 years, and is getting antsy and wants to do something new. 3-4 years is probably about the average time spent in any single job for most people.

Serra Britt 06-29-2011 10:41 PM

I would have been with my last job still if my condition hadn't started. Though I'm certain I would be in a "looking" phase considering how Wal-Mart has been lately x.x

My mom has been at her job for over 20 years and a lady i work with has been there longer then I have been alive.

Lucid: 06-29-2011 10:48 PM

hooooooly cow. that's a long time. I guess you've got to really love what you do to stick with it so long.

If I go to work in an ad agency, I would be working with lots of different clients so I at least wouldn't get bored, but even then I might look around at other agencies after a few years, to see if they had any better opportunities than the situations I might be currently in. onward and upward.

Feythfull 06-29-2011 11:00 PM

yes it is a long time

Quiet Man Cometh 07-01-2011 05:41 PM

Yay! Upcoming masquerade ball! I love masks and costume themes. I'm excited to see what comes up from it. I'm already concerned I might not get enough of whatever event currency is available to get the stuff I want. Are event items tricky at all to get or are they generally easy as long as one is around to participate?

Feythfull 07-01-2011 05:46 PM

Yes it sounds like tons of fun I can't wait!

I am glad someone finally came in here no one has posted in days!

Today my nephew smiled at me! He's 2 months old and he was cranky and everyone was trying to make him smile and he smiled for me! :D

Quiet Man Cometh 07-01-2011 05:58 PM

Hooray for non cranky kids!

At the wedding this weekend, my cousin's kid apparently cought onto the ceremony part of the wedding when the groom broke the glass beneath his foot (Jewish wedding). Later on she was walking around with a wine glass, put it on the floor and tried to stomp it. There was adult intervention before anything happened but yikes! The kid is only a little over 2.

Feythfull 07-01-2011 06:02 PM

yikes that wouldn't have went well. I am glad she didn't get hurt!

Quiet Man Cometh 07-01-2011 06:05 PM

Nah she was fine, though some of us were wondering why she was walking around with a wine glass (empty fortunately) in the first place. She was the youngest of the pile. The rest were content to amuse themselves at the kiddie table or run circles around the dance floor.

Feythfull 07-01-2011 06:07 PM

she probably just snatched it off a table.

my sister when she was little took one of the cousin's beer bottle and pretended to drink it thinking it was empty but it wasn't and got beer poured all over her.

Quiet Man Cometh 07-01-2011 06:11 PM

Ew. I was -and am still- never fond of beer, though for once the champagne wasn't trying to burn holes in my stomache. I forgot to ask what kind it was. Oh well. Not like I drink that much anyway.

I have to focus on building up my aurum again now. I want at least 2 sets of the Dramtis Personae item. I used to have no issue with aurum and now I seem to be broke every other day. It's getting annoying.
