Chlorine doesn't smell unless there is too much of it. I've learned this.

Salt does not heal cuts. It cleans them...and gives them a bigger possibility of scarring to my knowledge.

Salt does clean....at least pure salt (like sea salt more than table salt) though it does burn depending on the wound and your tolerance.
