I had a doctor say it was PCOS and didn't do any tests and gave me meds that made me sick..

There are no real tests for it, only symptoms and tests that rule out things. -_- The only "treatment" is birth control, and if it is making you sick, you still need to continue taking it. Which one did they give you?

Helsinki; Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. As my gyn said, eggs will most likely form a cyst on the ovaries as oppose to releasing. Fertility rate dramatically drops and can be more dangerous should the woman get pregnant. It also messes with other systems of the body; major one it effects is the insulin and causing a high resistance to it. Which then can form diabetes, weight is hard to lose, etc.

It does suck. I thought I had one because I didn't have my period in 3 months and I was still a virgin at the time. It was just a major irregular period and I was not on any meds.

When I was a virgin my period would come every two months. @-@

Mine before birth controls I would go through a anemic shock from the lack of blood in my body, iron decency, and severe cramps to the point of huddling myself in a fetal position crying my eyes out
