Spring is "haru" when used as a standalone word.
男 for "male" is "strength in a rice field" -- because boys are farmers. 父 (chichi / お父さん otousan) is two crossed axes, because your father cuts the lumber. I'm trying to remember some others. Edit: 車 (kuruma) looks like a two-wheeled cart as seen from above; it means "vehicle" |
xD the haru thing is mainly used as a name so when they normally use spring as the season its shun ouo the ON reading <3
