That sounds like it eventually hurt for her. ^^;

Lawtan 10-09-2015 08:23 PM

Not at all. It was a very small magnet (small enough to not be noticed)

Den 10-10-2015 12:51 AM

Tomorrow, Mom, a neighbor lady, and I are going to Omaha to a metaphysical conference/shiny thing show/shopping experience. I can't find some of the stuff I wanted to bring with me as comfort items.

ml1201 10-10-2015 08:12 AM

Why would you need to bring items for comfort? You don't want to go?

Because Mom and I don't get along very well most of the time, and I also wanted to compare decks and see if there were any that I might be interested in getting at a later date.

ml1201 10-10-2015 09:32 PM

Ah, that makes sense then. Which is why any time we visit family I bring stuff as well. ^^;

Den 10-12-2015 03:16 AM

Later today, I have to take our kitten (we think she's about 6-8 months old now, but we aren't sure because she was a rescue) to the vet to get spayed... Sadly, we're also declawing her front claws. I tried pointing out how cruel declawing is, and gave examples of kinder alternatives, but Mom wouldn't budge on that.

ml1201 10-12-2015 10:55 AM

Aw, poor kitty. =( That is kind of mean of your mom.

i agree. my mom had her cats declawed too, and i feel that's just not right.... so my cats are never declawed. it's also major trauma to the cat, too.

ml1201 10-12-2015 11:59 AM

As someone told me its like having your nails ripped out but worse because they actually use their claws for climbing and jumping, the claws giving them that extra grip they need to climb up things and such.

trystan830 10-12-2015 12:21 PM

yeah, i've heard that comparison as well. :(

:f-mew:

ml1201 10-12-2015 01:20 PM

One of my friends did get her cat declawed but that was because there was an infection problem and if they didn't want the cat to die she had to get her declawed. She was a rescue kitty, so it could have been because of the condition she was in before she was rescued. And actually I think the cat had been declawed before adoption now that I think about it...

trystan830 10-12-2015 01:24 PM

i could see declawing in the case of saving a kitty life, yeah.

Tam I am 10-12-2015 01:29 PM

Declawing really should be illegal. Says the animal disliker. But it's actually chopping off the first joint of their toes.

My sister used to chew the legs of our plastic farm animals. I didn't do that after the first time because I didn't want to wreck my toys. But when I got older I went through a pen cap chewing phase. And I chewed my nails well up into my mid twenties. Those aren't as funny as little kids nomming dirt or feeding people funny sammiches, though.

Den and I wrote a cute and silly little story for a friend last night.

ml1201 10-12-2015 03:19 PM

I'm kind of confused what's going on there besides tiny robots being cute. x'D

A version of Sentinel Prime from Dark of the Moon fell out of his reality and met tiny versions of the Decepticon Justice Division, who are now in the care of their medic. Said medic also fixed Sentinel, and Sentinel discovered there was a cranky old Seeker (a version of Jetfire from Revenge of the Fallen) guarding the door when he peeked out to see what was out there.

ETA: Here. Have an amusing story, too. :3

ml1201 10-12-2015 07:52 PM

lol, either way the way those tiny robots were acting was pretty cute. XD

Den 10-13-2015 06:35 PM

Chibi bots are always cute. Except when they're not...lol

ml1201 10-13-2015 06:55 PM

Very much so. XD

Glitch 10-13-2015 08:35 PM

Chibi bots? I like battle bots o3o

LOL She ate sand, too.

I know I'm a few days late to this, but wasn't energon on Earth originally seeded by the Vok as well?

In 'Beast Wars' it was. In IDW comic book storyline, Shockwave did it. They never DID say who put it there in 'Energon'.

You like 'Transformers'?

Pffft hahaha. Hahahaha.

Do I like Transformers? Do I like Transformers?

I grew up on Transformers. I've skipped a few iterations (Unicron and such), but hell yes I like Transformers. All of G1 on DVD, Prime, Beast Wars, hundreds of toys, a few custom repaints. I even have last year's exclusive Devcon toy from Botcon. G1 Shockwave with working lights and sounds, tons of Transformers stuff all over the place.

Lawtan 10-14-2015 03:16 PM

O.o
Again, Salone impresses me. (Mainly Beast Wars/Unicron person)
...does "Blokk, Graveheart, Femur, Beast Planet, Battle Moon, etc." ring a bell?
Or Farscape...
I know Suzerain likes Shadowrun...

Salone 10-14-2015 03:38 PM

Not in my area of interests. I grew up fairly deep in the woods, so it was hard to get exposed to a lot.

Sadly no. I was going to, but the job I had at the time screwed me over. I uh...had to pay an ungodly amount of money to get Devcon off of eBay. But my fanaticism is in the right place!

Part of me is relieved...for a moment thought you had some way of knowing everything. xD

I'd probably say that you were more exposed to different things (seeing as how for the most part, no one I know outside of Trisphee is any bit interested in Transformers and other stuff like that. (Or the kind of RP/Story stuff done here)

LMBO. I started late, in 2007. But I have every series they've put out on DvD, including ones I'm not that keen on. I have comic books, and the 'Allspark Almanac'. Not so many toys, but I don't have room in my apartment or mind for too many toys. And I've RPed them since I first started liking them. My first TF toy that I ever bought was Softimus Prime. XD I've never been to a 'Con. I don't really fit in with a lot of TF fans that I've run into, though, because I never write slash, and in my storylines there IS no bot... business. In some stories I also play Optimus as a lady, which ticks off MORE people.

One of my favourite sets of toys that I own is tfanRatchet and Arcee. I brought them home, and gave them kids. XD A tiny bayformer Blackout, a little bayformer Bumblebee (both of whom are girls), and a tfan dollar store knockoff Optimus who I say can't believe he's so tiny. Oh, and the youngest kid- Kreo Bulkhead. YES I'M WEIRD. XD

If you'd been on LiveJournal just a few years ago, you'd have had TF rp running out your ears. With some of those RPs, your brains would have joined the rp.

Salone 10-15-2015 01:15 PM

Believe me, Transformers fans are as varied as the iterations of Transformers. Most of the time, Transformers fans are the worst ones to talk to about Transformers.

Summer before last I drove a straight 13 hours to go to Orlando, where I spent a butt-ton of money in the gift shop of the Transformers ride. There is a really badass jacket from there, even if it is associated with the Bayverse. Maybe I'll take a picture of it. I have no regrets.

I've attempted to get in to Transformer RP's, but they've either never gotten off the ground or have suddenly gotten weird, in the exact way you're thinking. A few friends and I tried to mock up a Transformers tabletop game, but it never got off the ground. We were just too lazy.

And as far as the toys go...I didn't know it at the time, but my first toy was a G1 Ratbat. Favorites are hard, but toy-wise it's a toss up between War for Cybertron Shockwave and Hunt for the Decepticons Breacher, who I bought multiples of for repainting. In fact...

Ah hah! Still got it. This is a repaint I did that I posted to the Seibertron forums a few years back.

Seriously. I love that little guy.

Tam I am 10-15-2015 01:24 PM

Awwww. I would too. That painting is a lot better than I could ever do, and he's just cute.

Well, if you can put up with a grammer nazi, and are willing to make a DreamWidth journal account, I could help you play Transformers. I like the DreamWidth because replies are easy to do, and you can have little pictures for EVERY mood of your character if you want to.

Here's a rp I'm working on with a friend right now. It's 'Armada' TFs crossed over with 'Star Wars'. Arcee as Princess Leia!

I actually ended up missing Armada (Only had 3 channels at the time), so I'm weak there. Might have to give that one a pass for now.

Whoops. No no. That was just an example of what I do. The story I'd work with you would be one made for you.

Salone 10-15-2015 02:05 PM

Oh, that's fair. I could probably see myself doing one, although I find it hard to write for some established characters. Not entirely an OC junkie, but getting personalities right is sometimes a challenge.

Den 10-16-2015 03:22 AM

Tam's fun to write with. It's especially fun when I can sneak other nerdy things into our Transformers RPs (I've snuck a few Doctor Who bits in, and to date, she's only found one, though I think she had help with that one. and no, Tam, I'm not telling you where some of the other stuff is. :P). Pretty much all of the stuff that gets played out is in the G to PG-13 range, and at times, we come up with stuff that we later see in stuff that wasn't out at the time of writing. So I tend to joke that Hasbro stole our ideas. lol

ml1201 10-16-2015 08:27 AM

I think you did mention something about a time distortion in that skit with the chibi bots. XD

Salone 10-16-2015 02:50 PM

Weeeell I'm no stranger to some of the other sides of it. I mean even Rattrap knows that little hole in the wall where the servers walk around without their chest plates, if you know what he's saying. =P I miiight be able to do something once we get this event completed though. I do enjoy me some Transformers.

Tam I am 10-16-2015 03:23 PM

LOL Den, I think I've seen a couple. Before you told me that the Alonsy guy was a reference. But I have a good excuse for not recognizing them! All my 'Dr. Who' comes from the old books! XD

I'm open to OCs. I even have a few of my own that I call Mary-Sues, even though they weren't born just to be the bride of somebody or other. The one's just Shockwave's ultimate experiment in making the perfect bot. I'm also pretty good at many canon characters, including snarky ones. I'm not much good for playing evil characters. I'm told, to my shame, that I'm good with cute characters (I think... I should just give up on calling myself a tomboy). Like I said, never any sex. I'm firm on that. Rattrap proly hates me for it, but the rat can just do like everyone else and keep the public stuff public, and the private stuff private.

Oh yeah. Speaking of Rattrap. I have a reputation for cruelty to my characters. Case in point: Both my versions of Rattraps have kids. Bahaha.

Den 10-16-2015 07:46 PM

So I tried to stay off the computer today but I'm more stressed now than I would be if I had just gotten on after getting up
