He twisted, turning towards the voice. He raised an eye brow. The ruffled shirt told him and the lingering smell of Gardenia Spice, told him Ambrosia had only come to show off. He did nothing to mention the others lack of liquid and found himself turning once again towards his paper work. He was not amused by the others antics. “If you are ready to pay leave your card here.” One hand pointed at a spot on the floor. The other pushed back a pair of reading glasses before plucking another white square off the piles.

slouching a little lower he applied the look the other hated so much. "the night is young yet, i am not ready... saaaay, what pray-tell happened to your desk? you know what they say about the floor being good for your back? it isn't true"

Galvin turned once more distracted. He growled at that shit eat all grin determined to ignore it. For a moment he studied the man, pulling off his glasses so that edge of them tapped against his mouth. There was something strange afoot. It made Galvin worried. “Ambrosia, we broke that desk the last time we had sex. Are you feeling alright.” Galvin felt it unnecessary to explain how he demolished the desk. He reached out and stroked the side of the mans face. He didn't smell like excessive liquor, or drugs. “Are you hungry?”

the reaction was not what he expected even if most of the words were, "what the hell are you talking about pyce? there is nothing wrong with me other than the stupid look on your face." brushing the hand aside he moodily left to go find something else to do

Galvin rose from his perch and stopped Ambrosia from leaving the office, but shutting the two of them inside. "Something is wrong." He said studying the man. "Your banter is very lackluster tonight and you are more vocal then usual." With his hands he pushed the other back into the room to keep him from escaping. "Did Candice slip you drugs or something?"

he was not sure if the charade was up or not, pyce saw through the farce but not the reasoning behind it and he was not interested in lying when they were so close the deception could be felt. "i am not drugged pyce, i am just displeased with the company i am being forced to keep at this moment"

Galvin found himself chuckling. "Ambrosia. If you want something... anything. The price is that only ask for it. If your pride will not allow you to have it and I do not know what it is, you will not get it." smiling he walked over to the other grazing the zipper of Ambrosia's pants before he kissed the side of his face. He let the man go and walked back to his area of paper work.

the lie struck him hard and turning he jerked open the door. "i asked to be loved and that did not happen, why would any other request be honored?" giving pyce no time to speak he slipped through the door and slammed it closed behind him. forget a distraction he wanted to go home

He followed behind the other reaching out and grabbing him by the shoulder. "I have never broken my promises. To this day I still have not. You were the one that added things like pretend and price."

no matter how he tried he could not escape that damn liar and swinging around he punched pyce as hard in the face as he could manage and sent the man sprawling to the floor. he elbowed people out of the way as they rushed to aid their fallen boss. he did not stick around

He woke to the face of the good Doctor, a relieved Morgan and the roof of the club. Everything was ringing and Galvin found he could not move, and hardly breath. The doctor was speaking words to him but sluggishly he did not understand them. When he woke again, it was in his apartment. The familiar sight of the IV pumping sedatives into his system did not soothe him. By Saturday, he had enough pain pills to sedate an elephant. And against the doctors orders he stupidly sat in the park, hiding his bandages under a hoodie.

he did not want to go and if pyce was any less addicting he would not have even considered it. walking through the park he came upon the the other though instead of the usual slung-out posture the man was curled and concealed leaving him thinking for a brief moment it was not the same man. the thought was dispelled however by the fact that he recognized the jacket, it was their bench and it was time for pyce. he walked over and in an act of charity sat down instead of looming, he slouched. "what is the cost this time? i would think the price has raised since i knocked you to the floor the other day"

It was painful to talk and nothing he had to say could be put in to concise words. His head fluttered around wondering what he could say. His heart felt like a melting pot and the other was still asking for a price. Asking to start over seemed foolish. Shaking his head no, Galvin found his voice. "The cost is the same... if your pride allows you to ask, you will get it."

he should have known. he should have known! feeling his anger rise he balled his hands into fists though he did not hit pyce. he wanted answers this time, if leaving wouldn't do it, if abusing would not do it, and if hitting would not do it then he'd try words before giving up on this entirely. "...pyce, you an i already know that is a lie, it is complete and utter bullshit. i cannot ask for anything and expect it only be told i can have it as long as i never expect it for real. you lied about love, you lied about being bit, you are a damn liar now...your games are rigged and i am sick of it, none of my other lovers lie to me whatever else their failings are, only you. i am sick of you, i am sick of the lies, i am sick of loving you and not having it returned because i had to pick a fucking back-stabbing liar who just wants an easy fuck.....you are a disappointment but i am worse for coming back every fucking week and doing the same shit over and over with you like it will change anything."

The flood gates opened and there was no way for Galvin to stop them. He sat in silence staring, letting the others words bounce about his skull. Every time he tried the man pushed him away like were a toy no longer desired. Each time he tried to play by the rules his previous lovers set, there was disappointment. Now it was his fault for finding another way to jump the hurdle? He lied? He lied though he was not the one that set the rules. In a swift motion he pulled a stake from his pocket and lunged on the other, knocking them both down into the ground. He plunged the wood into the mans shoulder and let his hands circle around Ambrosia's neck. “I lied!” With each word his fingers pressed harder into the wind pipe. “I did 't break my own rules... I didn't break my rules! … ” At some point the blind rage turned into sobs. His voice dipped dangerously low. Galvin did not care if his life ended so long as it took the maniac beneath him. “I have never lied to you Ambrosia Garagin. I...” his fingers eased on the pressure around the mans neck. He felt foolish, like a dog trapped with a horrible owner. “I sill love you more then you will allow.”

he woke up to an ache in his shoulder and after several long moments the realization that pyce was sobbing like some little bitch over him, he was moving so he must be in a car and damn his shoulder hurt. he tried to knock away the dripping arm that tried to press itself to his lips but could barely manage it though it got a reaction out of pyce and he felt the arm move enough that he could see the man's wet blotchy face
