I wonder if it was just a popular slang word used during a very short period of time. I think arsenokotai is a good example if I remember correctly...honestly not sure I even spelled that correctly.

Fauxreal 03-09-2014 02:48 PM

I'm skipping the embroidery. I kind of just want to take a nap now...

Lawtan 03-09-2014 02:52 PM

>.> Passed out for 30 minutes <.<

Fauxreal 03-09-2014 02:59 PM

See! I'm not the only one!

Lawtan 03-09-2014 03:05 PM

*Curls up with a book to sleep*
XD

Kenai 03-09-2014 03:07 PM

I'd love to join y'all but I slept 11 hours already >_<
Craaaazy dreams too.
In one I was a giant bug alien thing but I'd been disguised as a human since a young age that I completely forgot what I was until my mother brought it up and showed me out space ship. Then a series of events led up to me being attacked by the town itself and burning down the bar I worked at and running me out of town.

Then in another I was a little girl on an island that had a Jurassic Park feel to it only it was swarmed by zombies. The supernatural kind and all kinds of trippy ghost shit was happening. Eventually some intelligent fat zombie/ghost man appeared within my safezone while I was using some hi-tech terminal. I loaded 3 shotgun shells into him to no avail (and yes as a little girl).

Dreams the result of brownies before bed.

Lawtan 03-09-2014 03:23 PM

I like those dreams...
I dreamed of Werewolves, school, a zombie/deconstructing virus...

Kenai 03-09-2014 03:26 PM

I love telling and listening to dreams. They're so cool.

Tam I am 03-09-2014 03:26 PM

Kenai, that sounds like the kind of dreams I have on good nights. The ones where I'm not on repeat because I'm fussing about something stupid.

Has anyone here ever written a story based on a dream with a good storyline to it?

Kenai 03-09-2014 03:42 PM

When I was in creative writing back in high school I would use dreams as an inspiration. They are also pretty good for plots when I roleplay. Sadly there aren't many RPers here.

Cora 03-09-2014 03:58 PM

I love that this includes Celtic Mythology!

*immerses herself in reading.*

I wrote a short story based on a dream once...
And I'd like to write something similar based on a few other dreams - using them to create a "world"...

But, right now, I am out of it @__@

(Have not ate anything today)

<3 I love Celtic Mythology.

Fauxreal 03-09-2014 08:47 PM

I'm currently writing a dream story actually!

Cora 03-10-2014 10:04 AM

I love any kind of mythology, but norse and celtic are my favorites. Celtic tends to get lost often behind Greek, Roman, and Norse.

Lawtan 03-10-2014 11:00 AM

>.>
You may want to check into the Native Americam Mythology as well. It has the Self-Made man, a race of Lizard-like creatures, Stone Liver-eating mages, dragon-like water-panthers guarding copper, and other things.

And I had the most amazing (to me) dream ever!
I actually created an instrumental 7 minute (I think) song (that I have taken notes on using similar-sounding parts of other songs - I don't yet know how to write music)...in my sleep. It was accompanied by a visual - like those 90's African-American "chalkboard art" cartoon visuals...I wish I knew what that style was called.

I usually don't have sound in my creative (right side of) mind...this is a genuinely new experience.

Angel Spirit Girl 03-10-2014 02:34 PM

I like mythology and folk and fairy tales. <3

Lawtan 03-10-2014 03:23 PM

*As a note: busy today - drawing, class signup, and test prep*

I've added "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall" - the unedited version...I doubt I'll like this one when I finish it, but I wanted to have the uncensored version available...mainly because the avenue from which I found it suggested that 8/10 of this book are/are influenced by the censored versions.

Fauxreal 03-10-2014 06:11 PM

Today is my sister's birthday!

Kilala Mikal 03-10-2014 06:32 PM

Happy birthday to your sister! Today's my cousin's fiance's birthday, too! <3

Lawtan 03-10-2014 06:46 PM

Congrats, Fauxreal.
Well, good news is I won't sleep until both sketches are done. :-)
Bad news: I'll be missing the Design-a-Creature contest. :-(

Kilala Mikal 03-10-2014 06:50 PM

Aww, Law! Don't miss out on the contest just for a couple of sketches! I say do the creature contest. We'll be here after the event is over. *nod*

I RP, but I've found that I work best in IM (NOT Skype), and then posting the finished story somewhere like my DreamWidth account. I've got years work of stories linked on that journal, mostly stuff from back before LiveJournal went down the flusher usefulness ways.

Coool! I've written some novels using dream stuff. One was fanfiction, and turned out really well. The other stuff was original universe, and I've gotten some published (self publishing or this publishing place that flew the coop right after sending me my books).

And Lawtan, that dream sounded cool! I've not had music dreams that I can remember right now, but I have read things in dreams, despite the fact that we're not supposed to be able to do that.

Also, happy to all those birthdays.

Today I went on a train and bus ride down to Walmart. Spent fifty dollars, and the blanket I bought is too short to use and four out of six of the Transformers Microchangers I bought were ones I already had or didn't want. I have GOT to write the numbers down of the ones I need. *shakes head at self* I'm ashamed of this shopping trip, even if I did get the things I'd gone for originally.

Ehh...I'll just pester Galla and all to death with Tris drawings/pets.

Tam...we aren't supposed to be able to read, huh? Odd...

Fauxreal 03-10-2014 10:12 PM

IT's alright Tam, You should see my spending on My Little Ponies packages.

Lawtan 03-10-2014 11:31 PM

>.> I added Galla's Shakespeare <.<
*Goes to Shakespearean Comedy section*

...I realize I may not like Shakespeare because I only read his tragedies. (Not a fan of Tragedy in general)

Fauxreal 03-11-2014 02:04 AM

I love Shakespeare's faeries!

Yes, they say that dreaming uses the other half of the brain than the one that we use to read. I know that often it's hard in a dream, but other times I see the words on a page clearly.

I just found out that I'd already bought the two bots I did want from a friend- she just hadn't been able to send them yet. Arghblarg.

*snerk* My Nexus between realities has a tiny town over in the field by the Transformers pub. Little coloured ponies just the size of the toys, but looking more like the G1s or the G3s live there.

Shakespeare... I like how Dinobot from "Beast Wars" is always quoting 'Hamlet!' :p-laugh:

Lawtan 03-11-2014 02:59 PM

?_?
Quiet, Salone, and I were talking about Beast Wars last night...
I didn't notice that.

I know Shadow Raiders's Graveheart was very Shakespearean.

Tam I am 03-11-2014 03:03 PM

LOL Oh yeah. Dinobot likes Shakespere, it seems. He even quotes it on his deathbed.

Lawtan 03-11-2014 03:14 PM

Why is it so few remember these things. I know I usually missed Beast Wars due to coming home when it was 1/2 over...

Fauxreal 03-11-2014 05:50 PM

I don't think I watched Beast Wars at all.

Kilala Mikal 03-11-2014 10:01 PM

I know I watched it, I just can't really remember anything about it.

Fauxreal 03-12-2014 12:25 AM

I'm glad I'm not the only one not in the know.

Lawtan 03-12-2014 12:30 AM

Top 10 Favorite Television Series:
Doctor Who
Stargate SG-1
Shadow Raiders
Fairy Tail
Fullmetal Alchemist
Claymore
Jeremiah
Sherlock
NCIS
...can't recall the last one...

Fauxreal 03-12-2014 12:53 AM

*take out her cards!* Law is finally ready!

Lawtan 03-12-2014 12:55 AM

Yep. I have my mind set on it.

Fauxreal 03-12-2014 01:02 AM

I got the cards super fast - your mind must have been ready!

Okay so, Basically you have been fighting yourself. You have all these unsatisfied wants and desires because you are putting obstacles in the way.
You have in you all this goodness, perfect joy and love is in your heart and for some reason you aren't letting that out.
You have to learn to be honest with yourself. Use your mind to guide you and your heart will follow. Also - use your brain to solve problems. You deserve to be happy, it's already in your future that perfect joy, you just have to let it out.

Lawtan 03-12-2014 01:05 AM

The last part is probably the most useful, but the other is also...
Am I correct in guessing swords...and cups? (fire and water?)

Fauxreal 03-12-2014 01:10 AM

Nope. Rods. Thus the use your head! <3

Lawtan 03-12-2014 01:11 AM

Ahh...
*imagines rods as teacher rulers used to slap the desk*
