Oh I heard about She's Come Undone by a dear friend of mine...from her description I'd have to agree with you Duchess.

As I read ridiculously fast, and a lot, I'll list the last three(cause I was reading them in tandem).
The Red Pyramid
The Looking Glass Wars
The Land of Painted Caves

Definitely recommend it. Super insightful.

The last book I read was Harvest Hunting from the Otherworld Series by Yasmine Galenorn. That is the 8th book in the series and I'm currently reading the 9th book. I read Harvest Hunting for eight and a half hours straight so I could read it from the beginning till the end. xD

I just got done with "Boneshaker" by Cherie Priest, and it was pretty damn good. The writing style wasn't my favorite, but good steampunk novels are few and far between. Hopefully this'll open the floodgates for more steampunk authors to get their work out there.

I haven't done as much reading since I left school. I burned myself out on dense books I think. I believe the last one I finished was The Magus, by John Fowles. It was a fascinating read, but in my opinion it should have ended 160 pages before it did. It might just be that I'm a jaded reader though, a little. Let's see, underground cult of psychiatrists holding mock court in halloween costumes...yeah, and?

That's the last one I recall finishing becasue it took me so long to get through those last pages. Same with Return of the King. Took me several years to get through that. I was halfway through the first book when the first Jackson movie came out. Fortunately, my reading memory is good.

I've been powering through Martin's Song of Ice and Fire lately, on Storm of Swords, now. Before that I read Steven Erikson's The Crippled God, which was fantastic.

I recently finished reading "The Way of the Shadows" by Brent Weeks.

"A Child al Confino" By Eric Lamet
It's an autobiography about a kid and his mom escaping the Nazis by flees in to Italy.

Getting back to fantasy now though.

The last book I read was Evermore: The Immortals by Alyson Noel. It's a series and it's really really good. :)

Kinda a fantasy novel I believe, and it's more aimed at teengers or young adults so not that hard to understand.

Dr. Franklin's Island.
It was an .. interesting book. xD

Samuel 05-19-2011 05:31 PM
