Yea, I just edited that post with the reference picture.

Nice. Now I want to go and see if I can dig up the Breath of Fire games somewhere. They good? I've only encountered BoF 4.

Serra Britt 06-11-2011 11:52 PM

I've loved them all. 1 and 2 were originally on the SNES though they had GBA releases as well, 3 and 4 were on PS1. Dragon Quarter (sort of #5) was a bit wierder, gameplaywise, but I liked it quite a lot too. I'd say the only problem is the fact they can be quite challenging. I know Suzerain and I talked about that somewhere else too xD

Quiet Man Cometh 06-12-2011 12:12 AM

Probably in his quest thread.

Are the GBA ones any good? I have a PS1 memory card so I can definately get the older games for my system. They hard to find?

Serra Britt 06-12-2011 12:24 AM

They are good but sometimes confusing. They are quite old so sometimes they aren't very specific as to what to do or where to go, but you can always use online guides. Unfortunately they might be hard to find, I don't even have 3-5 anymore, they belonged to my old roommate. Technichally they all did but.. come to think of it I might have mailed the GBA ones back to her also.

Quiet Man Cometh 06-12-2011 12:26 AM

Well it will give me something to actually look for rather than just leafing through the shelves of the game stores I visit in the off chance there is something inspiring.

Dragon Quarter (the PS2 one) if probably last on my suggestion list only because it's so different from a traditional RPG. It did have a great story, and it was expressed really well, it's just a VERY different style than a traditional RPG.

i don't think i've ever played those... i'm not much of a gamer. i'm happy with tetris. XD

Quiet Man Cometh 06-12-2011 12:47 AM

Kk. I'll look it up on IGN anyway. You never know, I might like it, different or no.

The tetris song pops into my head all the time. I love it. Apparently composed by a guy from Russia. Makes sense given how it sounds.

Serra Britt 06-12-2011 12:50 AM

Yea, I can't remember the composer's name off the top of my head though. It was very catchy music to line up blocks with though ;)

I always get "I've seen better days" by Citizen Cope stuck in my head. Mostly beat at first and then the lyrics.
