Fauxreal 08-26-2012 11:46 PM

*Zane 08-27-2012 12:38 AM

-squirms-

Fauxreal 08-27-2012 12:39 AM

That's some hair you have there.

*Zane 08-27-2012 12:46 AM

i know right! =D
i've been trying to tell him that and he just dont get it. :P

Fauxreal 08-27-2012 12:49 AM

What happens if we shave your head?

*Zane 08-27-2012 12:50 AM

wont happen, the hair will prevent it.
it will destroy the scissors then eat you ._.

its territorial like that.

Fauxreal 08-27-2012 12:53 AM

Dang.

Note to self, stay away from Zane's luscious locks.

*Zane 08-27-2012 01:33 AM

=D my hair is awesome, it does tricks.

Fauxreal 08-27-2012 01:41 AM

I want your hair to sing, You aint never had a friend like me, from Disney's Aladdin.

*Zane 08-27-2012 01:46 AM

>.> it doesnt like that song..and finds that incredible racist for you to ask a djinn to sing an arabian song... it is watching you...

-hair sings wizard of oz-

Fauxreal 08-27-2012 01:48 AM

Why is that racist?! I only asked because it does tricks and so does Genie in that movie.

*Zane 08-27-2012 01:54 AM

its a joke xD i have been dressing my avi up as a djinn for a long time, and djinns are arabic supernatural beings, modern "genies" are loosely based and highly childrenised versions of djinns.

Fauxreal 08-27-2012 01:55 AM

AH! HAHA! You do look like a 'djinn.' Well - then! I stick by my statement! *rofl*

Alpha 08-27-2012 11:07 AM

Yeah.....well, hollyweird has done some interesting things to different legends and perceptions.

Batty 08-27-2012 11:09 AM

Don't they always? xD;

Alpha 08-27-2012 11:15 AM

That they do. Also, HI BATTY! *hug tackles*

Batty 08-27-2012 11:16 AM

UWAAAHHH!!! -FALLS OVER.. and hugs back- <333

I can name SO MANY TIMES I've called out the show Supernatural for their mistakes. xDD;

Alpha 08-27-2012 12:16 PM

That bad? I know there are some areas where they messed up....

*Zane 08-27-2012 12:38 PM

-flops about in bunker-

Alpha 08-27-2012 12:42 PM

*sighs* Might I direct you to the giant swimming pool so you aren't flopping around so much? Or perhaps to the aquarium sized fish tank? *points to*

Batty 08-27-2012 12:56 PM

Yeaaah.

Especially when it comes to the "Pagan Gods."
Now, I'm friggen Pagan. I KNOW Samhain wasn't an evil demon.
-rolls eyes-

I just chalk it up to "OH, THIS IS AMAZING FICTION!" or else I'd get really mad. xD;

Alpha 08-27-2012 01:11 PM

Well, mainstream society is not comprised of those who truly understand the various embodiments of different spirits/deities, and thus they tend to twist information/facts about "Pagan Gods" to something more "sinister" or perhaps just, as you put it, interesting (which in many cases tends to lean more towards the side of "evil").

Just as a quick disclaimer, I'm not bashing anyone, just stating context and what I've observed so far.

Fauxreal 08-27-2012 02:44 PM

I'd have to agree ~ I'm an anthropologist. I learned so much.

Alpha 08-27-2012 02:58 PM

My cultural anthropology class last semester showed me some of that, but mostly it was just comparing society as a whole to what representations are given by both Hollywood and the media....quite interesting, if not a bit time consuming if done in its entirety.

Fauxreal 08-27-2012 03:08 PM

I had very specific anthro classes, one of my favorites was anthro of sport - which is nothing like what it sounds. I was afraid it would be like football and basketball, it was really about cultural sports from around the world and their significance in that society. Religious, social, monetary - I loved that class.

Alpha 08-27-2012 03:10 PM

Ooooh, very nice. Out of curiosity did it delve into the Aztec/Mayan sports?

Fauxreal 08-27-2012 03:16 PM

Yes it did, but I had a separate Maya class, so there wasn't that much. The professor knew that and didn't want a whole lot of overlap.

That professor was also damn cute. I love smart men.

Alpha 08-27-2012 03:37 PM

Wow....can tell you were definitely interested in that class.

Only reason I ask is because I knew that both cultures' sports had a lot to do with their religious practices.

Fauxreal 08-27-2012 03:43 PM

I know - Although I was more interested in the clothing of the peoples than the sport.

Alpha 08-27-2012 03:48 PM

*chuckles* Yeah......they were quite....interesting to say the least.

Fauxreal 08-27-2012 03:50 PM

There were no classes on the fashion and dress though, so it was self discovered.

NikkoGallarado 08-27-2012 04:05 PM

Nikko: Is you hungry?

NikkoGallarado 08-27-2012 04:20 PM

Alpha 08-27-2012 04:21 PM

NikkoGallarado 08-27-2012 07:44 PM

I am the manry-est of men!

Alpha 08-27-2012 08:25 PM
