There's also other YouTube gurus that have shaved heads, but I can only remember this one at the moment. It's been a while since I've seen her videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTL...lY5f2NElU-q6uQ

mdom 01-08-2020 10:20 PM

Hey that lady looks like you
(or am I not trained to see caucasians)

Biomecha 01-08-2020 10:30 PM

Heheh, I don't think we look anything alike. Would actually prefer to look like her. I wouldn't mind trying the eye look if lining the inner rim didn't burn so much.

mdom 01-08-2020 10:42 PM

Oh not the youtube one
the reddit lady who wears all black

Biomecha 01-08-2020 10:52 PM

I mean her, too. I just really like how she smoked out her eyes. The shape and blending are nice. And lining the inner rim, like she did, helps pull it together.

mdom 01-08-2020 11:12 PM

You promised me dramatic, Bio!! Where is the drama!!

Biomecha 01-08-2020 11:17 PM

Her look just made me think about it. But it is a dramatic smokey eye, not really daytime. But with the lack of hair, it works for more occasions.

mdom 01-08-2020 11:20 PM

You don't want to see what I use in my daytime looks |D
my sister gave me a disco queen highlight that's so shiny!!

Biomecha 01-08-2020 11:48 PM

Is your area more adventurous with personal style? Here, it's pretty easy to stand out if you don't go for the suburban casual or athleisure sort of look. But the closer you get to the city, the more variety at least.

mdom 01-09-2020 12:14 AM

Gotta go to the city!

well I do stand out as a fat asian (with now short hair) so why not... stand out more doing what I want!!! Just not care at all

Biomecha 01-09-2020 12:43 AM

I usually encourage my father to go to these car meetups where people show off their exotic cars since that's something he's into. It's actually a nice way to see some of the local fashion, although it's mostly guys. And only a small percentage make an effort.

The stuff I'd like to wear is too expensive anyway.

mdom 01-09-2020 01:06 AM

That sounds nice! My dad never leaves the house anymore. Don't let your dad become a house dad!

Gotta learn how to sew to make knock offs!

Biomecha 01-09-2020 01:27 AM

He already is. Same for me, though. That's why the weekly coffee trip is important to avoid becoming too much of a hermit. Because it has happened before.

Sewing machines, fabrics, failed pieces, it still gets expensive.

I've considered Taobao, but proper fit can be too hard to judge.

mdom 01-09-2020 09:41 PM

chinese women are so small |D

sew everything by hand!

Biomecha 01-09-2020 10:40 PM

That kind of defeats the purpose. It would be DIY quality and not high end quality. Plus a lot of the nicer textiles and findings can be hard to track down.

mdom 01-10-2020 07:19 PM

Hey, you want cheap or similar???

Biomecha 01-10-2020 10:22 PM

Neither, it's just trading one problem for another.

mdom 01-11-2020 03:50 PM

I'm doing my own skirt for the musical theater presentation!! Is it gonna look good? No, but it was not expensive xD

Biomecha 01-11-2020 06:05 PM

What will the presentation be for? And you're adding 10x more sequins than necessary, right?

mdom 01-11-2020 06:38 PM

the end of year, well, term?? presentation

I wish! I'm adding rainbows tho

Biomecha 01-11-2020 08:03 PM

Ah, I should have guessed. You could add rainbow sequins.

mdom 01-11-2020 08:22 PM

I could, but after sewing pearls, I realized it's too much work for little pay xDDD

Biomecha 01-11-2020 08:25 PM

Aw, I'd help if I could. After watching several tutorials. It would be nice to at least learn some basic skills.

mdom 01-12-2020 12:29 AM

maybe for a later project
one that I know of one year ahead

Biomecha 01-12-2020 01:14 AM

Lots of black and white and neutrals this time? I'll book a trip to France and take an apprenticeship at Maison Hurel or something. Only the best for you.

mdom 01-12-2020 02:25 AM

HEY
only if they're very sparkly

Biomecha 01-12-2020 05:45 PM

That's acceptable. The darker oil slick rainbow would actually be nice as a sparkly version in person.

mdom 01-12-2020 08:56 PM

I would kill for something like that in real life!

Biomecha 01-12-2020 11:06 PM

Who would you kill?

"I'm just a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl."
When actually...

mdom 01-12-2020 11:30 PM

EXACTLY my aesthetic tbh!!!

I'd kill our presidents

Biomecha 01-12-2020 11:54 PM

The top is actually pretty wearable. But thinking about it, I wonder how hard it would be to maintain sequins. Especially in warm humid climates, you'd probably have to just get it professionally done.

mdom 01-13-2020 11:28 AM

Or keep it in those sealed bags, vacuumed

Biomecha 01-13-2020 12:38 PM

To preserve the funk after it's been worn?

mdom 01-13-2020 10:53 PM

Well, after it's been worn it goes straight to wash!!

Biomecha 01-13-2020 11:49 PM

But that's what I'm referring to, it's not the sort of thing that can go straight to wash. It'd have to be done professionally it seems? I've never dealt with sequins to know.

mdom 01-14-2020 12:25 AM

uh
my mom washed in the washing machine my dress xD
must not be the recommended, but it worked

Biomecha 01-14-2020 01:04 AM

Hmm, since there's so many types maybe some are more rugged. Especially since they are so popular in the kids section. All the more reason to get some to experiment with.

Espy 01-14-2020 01:46 AM

My mom brought a sweater/shirt to dry cleaning, and they really, really fucked it up, and then tried to put the blame on my mom by saying she'd brought it in already ruined and was trying to pin it on them.

Arse bastards.

mdom 01-14-2020 02:57 AM

kick their shins, Espy!!!

Biomecha 01-14-2020 03:08 AM

That sucks. I guess finding dry cleaners would be like finding someone who cuts hair well. You'd have to be able to trust them.
