☪ஐﻬ☽ I really should get a doctors appointment
soon. The sooner the better. This way I know what
makes me sick and what doesn't. Might make it
easier to find food I can have. But I think I'm a
little scared to because then I will end up finding
out I can't eat things that I like anymore and I
don't want to do that. >.>

One of our family friends found out that she's allergic to the medication they gave to non organic animals

☪ஐﻬ☽ That's a odd allergy.

Airina 01-01-2012 04:24 PM

Yes it is

femme gauche 01-01-2012 05:03 PM

You mean the antibiotics they give to meat animals, like as in she can only eat organic meat?

Airina 01-01-2012 10:21 PM

Yeah and as soon as she did that and switched to organic meat she has been totally fine

femme gauche 01-01-2012 11:45 PM

Well, that's not too bad then. Albeit probably frustrating when it comes to eating out.

Airina 01-02-2012 01:34 AM

Yeah they didn't eat out much at all. She had to make her kids eat organic peanut butter because of it

femme gauche 01-02-2012 10:09 AM

Yeah again, really not a bad thing. At work we use organic peanut butter and many of my coworkers are like "ewww that stuff is nasty" but it is actually really good... But it always sucks feeling like you don't have a choice.

Airina 01-02-2012 12:08 PM

Yeah it does but she's happy that she figured it out

femme gauche 01-02-2012 10:49 PM

Mhmm. I have to say though, the more people find that they need to eat organic foods, or who choose to eat them, the more readily available they will become which is good for everyone. (Except I suppose agribusiness giants whose only interest is the bottom line)

Airina 01-03-2012 12:01 AM

Yeah I think that it's cool. Going to high school in seattle there was lots and lots and lots of organic things

femme gauche 01-03-2012 12:03 AM

That's good. Metro Detroit ... not really an ecologically progressive area ... but definitely open to things, I think.

Airina 01-03-2012 12:34 AM

Ahhhh that's good

femme gauche 01-03-2012 12:40 AM

Yeah, haha, well, we try. I certainly try to be aware of things, but, there are so many layers to every possession, every thing that we consume...

Airina 01-03-2012 12:45 AM

Yea that is very very true

femme gauche 01-03-2012 12:47 AM

That is why I like crafting... I like being closer to the source of what I own.

Airina 01-03-2012 12:52 AM

Ahhhh i don't craft too much, i really like it, but i don't have the opportunity to much

femme gauche 01-03-2012 12:54 AM

Yeah I just like it, mainly knitting and crochet, turning thread into fabric... and beginning to explore spinning with a homemade (pencil and cardboard disc) spindle.

Airina 01-03-2012 12:58 AM

That sounds way cool!!

femme gauche 01-03-2012 01:00 AM

Yes, it sounds a lot more impressive than it actually is, haha. I have makeshift tools and have not made all that much of consequence. Started many things; finished far fewer. But that isn't the point, at least I know I am capable of producing something...

Airina 01-03-2012 01:05 AM

That's true sweetie. *hugs* i just don't have time right now....

femme gauche 01-03-2012 01:06 AM

That's really unfortunate. Hope you can find the time.

Airina 01-03-2012 01:11 AM

Me too.... And i would probably be able to if my mother wasn't so annoying...

femme gauche 01-03-2012 01:12 AM

What is she doing?

Airina 01-03-2012 01:15 AM

Just gets annoyed if i ever make a mess

femme gauche 01-03-2012 01:18 AM

Is it making a mess to have a ball of yarn and a couple of sticks in your lap?

Airina 01-03-2012 01:20 AM

I guess..... she just doesn't like it.

femme gauche 01-03-2012 01:21 AM

That's... odd. Don't really know what to say to that.

Airina 01-03-2012 01:23 AM

Me neither.... I can't wait to possibly get an apartment.... that would make my life sooooooo much easier....

femme gauche 01-03-2012 01:25 AM

Yeah sounds like it really would.

Airina 01-03-2012 01:28 AM

I miss the freedom of having my own apartment

femme gauche 01-03-2012 01:29 AM

I've never lived completely on my own.

Airina 01-03-2012 01:31 AM

Well i lived with roommates, but still away from my parents...

femme gauche 01-03-2012 01:31 AM

Ah, I've never done that either though I would like to live with my best friend. She lives too far away to do it right now though.

Airina 01-03-2012 01:34 AM

My best friend and i are trying to move out together.

femme gauche 01-03-2012 01:35 AM

That's cool. Best of luck with it. I do have a twin sister but I don't think we would be very pleasant roommates as although we get along fine for awhile we tend to clash very hard.

Airina 01-03-2012 01:36 AM

Lol I don't have any sisters.... well technically i do.... but she's a sister in law....

femme gauche 01-03-2012 01:38 AM

I have three; I am the youngest, but the elder two live out of home and have for quite some time. I was five when my eldest sister left home.
