oh the pretty pretty arts, I'm jealous, the con I'm going to will have nooooooo artist alley Q.Q so the soonest I'll get art is next...uhm...wasabi...holy snot! Now I'm depressed.
So camcon won't have an artist alley nor yaoicon
O.o what?
I've no idea on camcon, there's still no dates for that posted. and yaoicon will have a huge artist alley insofar as I know, but I'm not going there. The next con I'm hitting is MileHi. |
ok, never heard of MileHi
I will have to see about going to the local anime con next year.
I do go to the local SF con, though. |
MileHi is like...more literary, but has a bit of sci-fi to it. I'm super excited to see the folks there and watch the critter crunch(robot fighting)!
Wait the what Fey I wanna know more about it.

No, Starfest is a Science Fiction con, a robot con, a horror con and a comic con. MileHi focuses more on the literary(book) aspect of the fantasy genre.
And critter crunch is sooooooooo fun to watch! People build robots in two weight classes(10 or 20+ lbs) then they go head to head with other robots in the division. You either have to push your opponent out of the ring, or incapacitate them; flipping them, destroying them, etc Sadly I'll be running a panel during the 10 lb division, but I plan to watch the 20+ division like I did last year. Super fun! |

My local con is SF/Fantasy literary, too. It is also rather small.
I don't have a local con
You must live in quite the small town then.
well I live too far north for most cons to be held at and the town is not that big but not small
I consider any con held in my state to be 'local' enough for me LOL
Yup. There are states that are small enough to do that in.
>.>.....
<.<....... I live in a fairly large state, but still.... |
Big cities, like NY and LA and DC, do draw all the conventions.
it always depends on what cons you want. San Diego has the largest in the nation, but NY and Chicago and Atlanta aren't far behind.

Texas is a state, not a city ;)
but still, it's big.
San Antonio, Houston, Austin TX |
Was merely pointing out the apples to oranges reference there m'dear.
Fey did you tell Duo to text me?
not yet, I've not gotten your number from inoli. I'll probably end up calling duo with your info since I'm not sure she has internet access out there.
Texas does have a number of large cities.
::rubs hands together:: I've another costume to the list...and I think the dungeon might have all the materials I need for it, sans the wig....
I know who I'm going to be for wasabi but no idea for NDK
I'm pretty sure I can have her done by wasabi...if I get the wig in the early start of the year.... Beyond that I've no idea whom I'm running around in for that.
I need to find a really good Chuck and Kyle wig
I just need the money for my wigs...stupid holidays eating all my money.
My mom doesn't want me to spend money on Holiday stuff, and I'm getting a $36 check in the mail in November from surveys. So I'm just trying to figure out how will I spend the $36 I know I would put it into my paypal but don't know that much ahead.

I should ponder what to do for employment after my seasonal job is over.
unless you work at a halloween store you can maybe talk to your employer about staying on. Often, if you do a good job at seasonal they'll keep you on for at least part time.
It's a cookie factory. I will be there until the end of next month.
They do not seem to inclined to hire more permanent people at this time. I will have to wait until next summer to come back in that case. |
bummer, well it was a suggestion at least.
i'm still trying to find a job, I've done so many interviews in one week then I've had in one month
I really would like to work there are the cookie factory, though. It would at least be a job.
My dad worked at a muffin factory for like a couple months
That sounds cute. XD
