Basement suites are wonderful things that stay cool in the summer by virtue of being underground and is easy to warm in the winter becuase of insulation and lack of big windows. ;)

At my sister's farm right now. The basement has become the den for all the kids that visit and is not fit for adult habitation. Not to mention there isn't much to do down there unless I want to do laundry and have a nap across the deep freeze. -.-

Ahhh, but in the summer napping across the deep freeze is quite lovely!!!

XD I know what a basement is. We just don't have them here because they would flood big time during a hurricane. I do want to move somewhere that I could have one, though. I would turn it into a movie/gaming paradise.

I had a friend who used to have the entire basement of her house to herself...although one of the rooms was a massive home theater...video games on it were the coolest thing EVER!!!

That's like my cousin's place... although I haven't gotten the chance to try gaming on his massive TV. It was a treat watching Big Bang Theory on it, though!

I bet!!! Scary movies were awesome too!!!...Her's is basically a mini theater...the screen comes out of the ceiling and everything!!!

Basements are probably warmer in the winter, too, since they seem like they would be well-insulated.
