@Hermes:
Did you tried to turn it back on to see if it's running properly with a proper beep sound?

Hermes 08-17-2010 03:20 PM

Well, this really SUCKS...It was working perfectly fine at 4:30AM when I went to sleep..then, at 11:30, suddenly not working AT ALL? Seems suspicious...and, of course, they will blame ME for this...

@ FlaFla
Yup

Yuki 08-17-2010 03:23 PM

It could be cause of many reasons, virus, old parts... @.@ Yeah you can probably figure out yourself it's something like that. My laptop would turn itself off becuase there was so much dust in it that it would overheat. I had to hand it in so they could clean it on the inside. Now I can handle it pretty well myself though.

My boyfriend is the computer expert and my other friend is the computer tech. xD But my boyfriend always tells me what to do when that happened. Then that's where I became a little nerd on something.

My idea of dealing with broken computers is to unplug them and plug them back in, so you'll get no help from me...

Hermes 08-17-2010 03:33 PM

Meh, even safe mode won' load... I HOPE it isn't the OS....

Flaria 08-17-2010 03:36 PM

Of course in the safe mode. Then my boyfriend put that on then press the enter button to prevent the installing thing that can cause it not to work at some point. Like if you have Windows 7 that's fine. But if you have some kind of video card that usually updated itself can messed other things if you aren't careful. Lol. Same for the Motherboard.

Hermes 08-17-2010 03:44 PM

Well, I have Windows XP, not seven X3

Sadrain 08-17-2010 03:44 PM

My brother left me ancient, half broken computer that had Linux version that worked only with proper commands no one had taught me, it sometimes even refused to start up, unless I did some "magic" in the starting process, which I had to figure out on my own. But in the end, with internet help, and also on my own, I figured how to deal with the most problems, but I think it deeply depends on the OS and such. I hope it can be resolved soon. Hermes. It's really worrying when stuff like that happens. Dx

Flaria 08-17-2010 03:47 PM

How old is your computer and did you clean them regularly?

Gozed 08-17-2010 03:50 PM

At this point if my laptop messed up I'd just save up and buy another one... 10% discount on things at Walmart comes in handy.

Sadrain 08-17-2010 03:51 PM

but all the stuff on it~ DDx

Gozed 08-17-2010 03:54 PM

Is all backed up on my external harddrive :D

Sadrain 08-17-2010 03:56 PM

Oh I see. o3o Well, I have saved up the photos, well, all pictures on my USB memory, buuut the music~ -small flail- I don't know, I suppose I care for this laptop it self, since it's the first computer I really have for my self, to just let go of it so easily. >o<;

AceValkyrie 08-17-2010 03:56 PM

I LESS THEN 3 YOU ALL!!! lol xD

Flaria 08-17-2010 03:58 PM

It's always good to have a back up such as Eternal Hard drive so that way your things wouldn't be lost if you computer or laptop got a bad viruses.
