ml1201 05-15-2015 05:31 PM

I want to see when its finished. XD

Den 05-16-2015 01:12 AM

I'll scan it in and post it to my artblog and my devart pages when it's all done.

ml1201 05-16-2015 06:11 PM

Awesome! Can't wait to see it. X3

Tam I am 05-16-2015 06:35 PM

What kind of binding do you plan to use for it, Den? And for yours?

Den 05-16-2015 06:46 PM

I'm thinking leather for the outer cover for yours, not sure what stitch style I'll use yet, but mine? I'm making it into a single sheet (or at least as close to that as I can get).

Tam I am 05-18-2015 03:35 PM

Okay, now I am anticipating. XD What do you mean though, a single sheet for yours?

Oh hey. Anybody else who reads this, who wants to take part in a book making challenge? I'm not talking like a store bought book. Something hand made, a zine. Something fun.

Den 05-18-2015 08:25 PM

like, having all the poem on one sheet of paper, done to look like a scroll or something. :3

Tam I am 05-19-2015 07:06 PM

Ohhhh. Gotcha.

ml1201 05-20-2015 02:00 PM

If I wasn't lazy and didn't mind spending the money I would do it. x'D

Tam I am 05-21-2015 01:36 PM

What do you need to spend money for? :p

ml1201 05-21-2015 06:47 PM

The materials. XD I can't just make a book out of nothing, lol.

Tam I am 05-22-2015 12:46 PM

You can make 'em out of second hand stuff, though. Right, Den?

ml1201 05-22-2015 02:53 PM

.-.
(has nothing secondhand to make them out of...)
^^;

yup. or if you have a printer, you can gank paper there...

ml1201 05-22-2015 04:34 PM

Well, I have the paper, just nothing I could use as a sturdy cover for it. I don't want a flimsy cover because I don't want it to fall apart. x'D And then I'd need glue, totally not using my glue for putting together minis. .-.

if you have boxes, you've got stuff to make the cover with, and if you have an old bedsheet or an old blouse that you no longer wear or is too damaged to donate to charity, you can make a pretty cover.

Tam I am 05-23-2015 04:14 PM

And you don't need glue to put a book together. I've got ones bound with an elastic band. Like the one from veggies. Yarn works well. String is great. Even an old safety pin/diaper pin works.

Hey, Law, we're challenging you, too! XD

ml1201 05-23-2015 04:47 PM

I don't have a box to use for that, and I'd rather use glue because I want to be able to use it without it falling apart. o////o

I have a book I've been working on that's entirely sewn together, if you space the stitch holes far enough apart then it won't fall apart.

Tam I am 05-24-2015 04:56 PM

Yes. Glue's actually the worse thing to use for a homemade book.

I wish I still had that cute little book made from a Mentos box. It was so neat.

... Now I wanna find a tutorial and make one. LOL

Tam I am 05-24-2015 08:46 PM

I showed you a picture of it once, didn't I?

I don't remember seeing it if you did...

ml1201 05-25-2015 10:17 AM

@Den
I could do that, with the sewing part, but I'd still need something to make a stiff cover because I prefer hard covers over soft. ^^;

Cereal boxes work. :)

Tam I am 05-25-2015 02:19 PM

Yup. Cereal boxes are great. I've even seen books made from cereal boxes, with one short edge being the spine of the book.

Den, remind me, and I'll look up the picture of the little book.

*thumbs up* Shall do. :) *back to work on costume and commission things*

ml1201 05-25-2015 04:16 PM

I have to eat the cereal first though. XD

lol still not seeing the problem. Unless it's a cereal that you don't like, in which case, yeah, that could be a problem. lol

Tam I am 05-25-2015 05:33 PM

NOMMA CEREAL.

Sorry for the shout. It really seemed funny when it was in my head.

ml1201 05-25-2015 08:35 PM

I have other things I bought first that has to get ate. They are a frozen thing and I'm not using part of a box that had gotten wet. .-. I don't want to get a moldy book since we have a mold problem here. >>;

ml1201 05-26-2015 05:51 PM

That is weird. o.O Apparently it's some kind of project. o.O

Lawtan 05-26-2015 06:22 PM

Yeah, from an old Neverwinter Nights machinima series. Series is funnier - actually a plot of two idiots out to kill a dragon so they can retire and drink all day. xD

ml1201 05-26-2015 06:25 PM

lol, no wonder the voicing was not so good, as in not knowing their lines and sounding like they are reading from a paper. XD Though when people here me read from a paper they don't seem to think I am. x'D

Lawtan 05-26-2015 06:40 PM

Hahaha...I try to avoid speaking, as I am terrible even with English. Long live the mute!

ml1201 05-27-2015 01:31 PM

I like to talk a lot for the most part. XD

Den 05-27-2015 07:46 PM

If I could have a job where I only had to talk to people to find out what needed done for the day, to let them know when I was going on lunch, when I got back, and when I was leaving for the day, that'd make me super happy.

Tam I am 05-28-2015 12:13 AM

I have a weak voice. But strangely, since I know how to project it, I'm good at speaking and reading in front of people.

Otherwise I just squeak squeak squeak away. I think I sound annoying.
