He shook the hand giving the woman a smile in return. "I am Gavlin, I do not have a shorten name, but Galvin works..." He studied her but then his eyes fell on Cirro. "Um if I am interrupting your cession then I can come back later."
he shook his head. "no, no, this is the eva, she is leveau's other companion aside from myself, you will be likely to see her often in the future. we tend to spend time together when i am not too busy, would you like a drink as well?" taking a page from leveau he did not give the man time to answered and hurried for the kitchen, eva needed time to look galvin over and he would only make the man nervous
As Cirro scurried away, Galvin gave Eva a second look. He blinked some what recalling the womans name but not really remembering it. He did not want to get his nose broken for yet another lover. He nodded slightly to her but said nothing more, not wanting to be rude and pry into the woman's love life the moment he first met her. “You have a very beautiful smile.” he said instead.
she tipped her head slightly. "thankyou, i am told it is my mother's smile, you have nice eyes, they look like her's as well. i am fond of the color myself." reaching out she lightly pulled the other to sit next to her so she would not have to rise. "you should tell me a bit about yourself if you would not mind"
He could not help but smile. "Sadly they are mine are my fathers. Though my hair is my mothers. What would you like to know Ms Eva? I am afraid I am a rather plain jane who likes to dance."
through her lashes she looked him over once more "just eva please and surely there is more, i will not skirt around james as if he were something to be ashamed of. he sees something in you and i would like to know what it is."
He chuckled lightly. “Truthfully I do not know, perhaps it was providence? I met him once in a club and then had not expected to see him again, but there was at a function for my parents job. He does not strike me as the type to be enthralled by dancing. And what of you...” He forced himself to skip the formality . “Surely you have an interesting tale?”
sniffing lightly she moved her eyes away. "i would like to think guilt and a need for company that would not take advantage of tender feelings would be my only contribution. i am not interesting in the least, few women are."
“In their own right they are, as is each person.” He didn't have much more to say and was thankfully saved by the return of Cirro. He wanted to excuse himself. His eyes traveled down to the amber liquid that was set in front of him. He offered her a small smile before thanking Cirro.
he nearly turned around when he saw their faces, eva was in the middle of trying to figure the man out and he in return was trying to escape. he took his chances however and saved galvin a little blood. setting the drink down he moved to the chair. "how is your brother doing?"
"He is a bit distraught. I asked him to look into a few things for me and his computer crashed. I don't think he has any intentions of finding love while his machines are down. I did give him the string." He said more so the string was forcefully tied to the mans wheel chair where his brother could not reach it. "I had hopped to ask you something else but I will come back another time."
he nodded. "ok, we will have to set you a proper appointment though, this last few weeks i have upset a lot of my regulars." looking over he could see eva was already growing tired. "speaking of which, i must get ready, we can finish talking some other time ok?"
Galvin nodded excusing himself. He gave Eva a polite good bye before leaving the pair to resume what ever conversation they were having before he rudely interrupted. On his bike he realized the woman gave him chills. He stopped by his apartment to take Agamemnon for a walk. As he circled around the dog park, he wondered if the very ritualistic would summon Kenneth.
she felt disappointed in this new person, he really was nothing special and james' confusing words were not validated by what she saw. tiredly she leaned back into the couch though she knew the action would make it so much harder to rise again. "cirro, i do not understand james sometimes. he spoke as if he were talking about you or i but this, and forgive my language, shallow, empty-headed bimbo is most certainly whom he was referring too. it makes no sense, i would rather know why and not through manipulation of his pity. is there nothing you can do cirro?" he gave her a sympathetic look, "you know as well as i do he only speaks to you." she frowned lightly. she knew but all the same it was worth it to at least ask. sweetly she held out a hand. "help me up please? i have worn myself out with worry, i need to go home and rest"
(no luck with ambrosia XD) |
He twisted the excess dye out of his hair and managed to pull all of it into a tight braid with the exception of a few curls that hung over his face. Galvin choose brown color contacts to mask his eyes and some faux black square frame glasses. He hoped it was enough to disguise himself. He wanted to know more about the other Garagin siblings but it would be hard if Ambrosia could easily spot him out in a crowd. He could do nothing for his voice so he would just have to avoid the man. He did not even bother to take his bike. Instead, his brother had gotten a fake id, and a cab for the man known as Eric. He couldn't help but feel nervous about this despite having done it so many times before.
she was playing hard-to-get but he had no doubt he was the better player. slinking closer he pulled a pair of glasses and pouring a little wine from one to the other he he went in for the kill
She was very radiant, each time he hovered around her entourage she was either greeting some one or dazzling some one with her smile. There was something distinctly classic about the woman that made her seem like a modern Jackie o. Copper colored tresses bounced and shook as the woman kept dodging questions about the future and fate of Maia. She kept the tone jovial and on the important issue of why they were gathered. Unlike the people around her, she only gingerly sipped from one class of white wine. Galvin put down his tray of wine in the privacy of the kitchen. He had yet to see any of the brothers though he learned the eldest would not show his face. He leaned against the counter resting as his thumbs moved to text his brother on the small bits of information he could gather. Galvin completely abandoned his tray of wine for some hors d'oeuvres.
he had already gotten the woman to drink most of the wine and was already hailing down a server for another glass
He saw a man gesture for another glass and idly he went to retrieve it. It was a small wonder he could keep his composure at the other once again had another body of flesh wrapped around his finger. Galvin snatched the glass away and did not return with it until he made his other rounds.
she was all but his when the server came back and the drink was unnecessary. waving off the man he kept his eyes trained on the prize. sweetly he kissed a soft wrist. "i will return shortly, wait for me" smug in his victory he headed for the bathroom
When Ambrosia left he walked back over to the abandoned girl. He gave her a message saying that her date wished to meet her downstairs in a cab. The girl excitedly chattered as she was ushered downstairs to the waiting cab. Galvin smiled as he gave her the address to a hotel that was on the far outskirts of the opposite end of town. He was so gracious enough to give her a faux phone number the young lady could call if but was given firm instruction to wait in the lobby least she ruin her mysterious lovers surprise.
when he returned with clean breath and an extra dab of cologne she was gone and a quick browse around the room showed her absent. he rolled his eyes over female incontinence and lackadaisically made his social rounds while he waited for her to return
The smile on his lips was irresistible. He watched the other but there would be no wanton sex for him tonight. Galvin walked up to Ambrosia and silently offered him a drink. The smile never faded from his lips.
paying no mind to the server he shoo'd the man off and in return a familiar growl issued from the strange lips. his own quirked into a grin. "nice wig, i thought you gave up stalking me, or is this just for fun now?"
"I like a challenge, I was more disappointed that you gave up." The ends of his smile never faded. "and its au natural." He said touching his hair, running a finger through it releasing one of the natural curls. "I know what I want, and I can't seem to get it any other way then a direct source. So I can either keep stalking or I can pay you. The choice is yours Kenneth."
he chuckled. " i thought it was dick and this week's rent is paid, are you asking for extra?"
He shook his head. "No I have come to collect on that dinner I missed out on, but mostly a serious conversation, if it cost me extra I am willing to pay as long as you give me straight answers." Since his rouse had fallen, Galvin decided it was time to take his hair out of the uncomfortable knots. "Its up to you Dick."
the grin eased into a smirk. "you don't have to pay for what is owed though you have poor timing. you will have to wait until i am finished here, is that manageable or will i have to beat you into compliance again?"
"Beating me? or getting your ass pounded?" He walked up to Kenneth and lightly slapped his face twice with the same smile on his face. "Where would you like to meet when this is over? Or are you going to kidnap my dog and I again from the park?"
the grin turned lecherous once more. "both, just keep an eye out and find me, i am sure you can do that easily enough" without waiting for an answer he headed back into the thick of the crowd to schmooze with idiots wanting his grandmother's money
He was not given time to protest, instead he went back to doing his job of politely serving guest for the next hours. It was easy to pick Dick out of the crowd, the mans hair was like a shark fin among the waves of people. Slowly the guest started to trickle out and Galvin and the rest were left cleaning along with a few guest of the family. He stole away to follow Dick as he left the building.
he did not flinch as pyce popped up and slid next to him as though he had been there all along. saying nothing he climbed into the limo with the other trailing behind. he ignored susan and the jelly-fish
It was strange having others in the car. Instead of talking he watched the woman as he had night. Before long he finally broke the silence of the ride with a question. "What makes you better then your brothers?"
the shock on her face was more than worth having to strangle the man next to him. leaning in he whispered a silent threat and hoped the other would understand how stupidly dangerous those sorts of questions were
Galvin ignored the threat but kept silent as the other whipped out his cell phone and started to dial a number. A threat was not what he payed for, so Galvin tried again with a different question. "Do you plan to keep expanding your enterprises?"
he was quick to close the phone and buzz the driver to stop as pyce started asking more inappropriate questions. as the vehicle stopped he pushed the man out of the limo and hastily followed after
As he tried to push himself up he was grabbed in the usual abrasive manner known to dick. The man was furious. With his free hand Galvin elbowed the man in the stomach. "You said I coul have what I wanted. I wanted answers Dick."
he staggered at the hit but quickly came back and grabbing the man pyce by the hair yanked him upright. "answers from me, not from people who have less qualms about making certain you spend your life in a chair than i. fucking jelly-fish may be a spineless wimp but there is a reason granny approves of that cock-sucker."
He didn't care if half o his hair came out. He was tired of threats and wanted answers. As far as he heard, that man in the car was the reason why his brother was in a chair. He yanked his hair free leaving clumps of it in Dick's fist and turned on the man. With a tightly balled fist he punched him and did not let up no matter what the cost.
a dozen half-forgotten defensive disarmament classes came to mind as the other started throwing punches crowded his mind but only one thing made is as far as his hand and reaching through the hits he grabbed the other by the neck and did his damnedest to crush the cartilage of pyce's windpipe
