I honestly don't think I'd be able to remember my first book out of a public library. My mother used to work in one, and she'd check out whatever I wanted to take home as a little toddler, so I can't remember. XD I do remember getting Dragons of Spring Dawning in 7th grade when the school took us there to set us up accounts or something. |

I don't at all remember the first book I checked out from a library but the first books I can remember reading as a little girl were those American Girl books.

I think my favourite was Felicity and/or Kit. Because the time I was reading Felicity, I super loved horses and Felicity was all "Horse! Must save!" and I just liked Kit's spunk. Samantha's...grandmother? Mother? The super stern woman? She terrified me, even through the books, so I would read them timidly. XD |

God, I know. I'm going to miss midnight releases filled with magic nerdom. ;__; It was a tradition for me a friend. Midnight releases! The release for the 5th one was the best. And then reading until 5 in the morning, wanting to be one of the first people in America done with the book. XD |

reading the book is better than watching the movie, imo.
The book is well-written. I like how Rick Riordan used simple words and some slangs and jargons too. And the book is pretty witty too ;3 |

I would recommend the Codex Alera to anyone here, it blends political intrigue, military fantasy, and normal magical fantasy...and its based off of ancient Rome :D
