What country was responsible for the creation of the dreaded Red Devils?

Red Devil, singular, is Richthofen, but we’re talking plural, so...

...Japan...? Squadron of soldiers who wore armor that was painted red to scare the enemy?

Are you sure you're not thinking of Manfred von Richthofen, the Red Baron? Unfortunately, I couldn't find the meaning of the name Richthofen, but "red devil" in German is roter Teufel (singular).

Espy 08-18-2019 02:13 AM

Frick you’re right.

I think usually involves finding a spider and then burning down the whole house to kill it.

What country was responsible for the creation of the dreaded Red Devils?

(Okay, kinda guessing) Great Britain. I'm thinking its the British air infantry from World War 2.

Okay, so I don't know how I got forty questions last night. Numbers are not my friend. I'll be dropping another section today. I appreciate y'all putting up with my oversights!
Just working out the kinks, we'll be running smoothly soon. As always, open to suggestions so I can get these done in advance.

They were generally plainclothes police/detectives who wore shoes that had rubber soles, which reduced the sound made by walking around (or sneaking around).

No, but they were allied to the country in question.

Not quite the answer I was looking for, but given I've seen a shit ton of those, I'll give you points for it. Question will remain up, in case I get the answer I was expecting.

Whoops! I wanted actual memes, not just the stars of them. Quote this and give me two more memes (one each of the other two; that last one was the only one that qualified, since it was an actual meme), and I'll give you points.

Hrm...

There are a lot of teams, squadrons, and whatever known as the Red Devils, but "allied to [Japan]" makes me think... military group (?) of the Axis powers.

So that rules out the UK and the US, as well as France. The three main Axis powers were Germany, Japan, and Italy. But "responsible for the creation of" makes it sound less like a military group and more like... an invention? So, either a military group, or a military-grade invention, of either Germany or Italy.

House Fire Girl became a meme almost overnight. What is this meme's most common usage?

You're almost there! Which one? Final guess. Double points for you if you can also tell me what Red Devils are.

What was Kingpin trying to achieve when a subordinate caused multiple versions of his soon-dead nemesis to be pulled into his dimension instead?

He was trying to get his dead family back, right? :[ Or rather, another version of his family from another dimension, his wife and kid..

Hm, asked a certain friend (bit of a WWII nut); he says they're Italian grenades that had red outer casings.

While there is a line in vein, it's not a commercial, it's a picture on the bag. Try again! (Or link me the commercial!)

oh man i remember reading this

In Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, whose vehicle was purloined?
two gentlemen's????

Major 08-18-2019 06:40 PM

"How are birds and cogwheels related?"

Is it because they both can sometimes chirp? I thought car gears could, and as I was typing "gear chirp" in DuckDuckGo, "second gear chirp" was an autocomplete suggestion. I don't know if that's the answer you're looking for. The question was bugging me, lol. I researched it, but couldn't find anything really relevant.

Thanks for the points, by the way!
