*pokes at shop* Your art is so pretty, Alex.

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:17 PM

I think I know which you're speaking of, since I've heard from others that he's been mean.
It was such stories that made me a little leary about coming out as trans on there x:
But when a friend did it I just... let the beast out and started to poke on here more xD

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:20 PM

Thanks, Shenandoah. ^^

Div - Ah. Yeah, I can understand how that would be hard. I have quite a few trans friends.

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:21 PM

Don't mean to more or less rudely intrude on this conversation between you two, but... *blinks at Divintiate* I never met (real life or otherwise) a trans before. *gives look towards Alex* Met homosexuals before, though. Sorry, but I'm not too big on the slang words for 'homosexual' for the most part.

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:22 PM

Bah, nothing in life is hard if you keep trying at it :D!
But seeing such mean ness is... unpleasant.

Shen :
Yeah?
I have a few friends who are.
n___n
We're just normal people trying to find our true self :D

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:24 PM

Shenandoah - It's not a problem at all. You're very much welcome to intrude. haha

Div - Just people that don't understand. And people tend to hate, or fear, the things they don't understand. *shrugs*

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:25 PM

Exactly
The phrase, "Ignorance is bliss" irks me greatly too.
Since all ignorance does is breed fear and hatred x x

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:26 PM

Yeah, it really does.

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:28 PM

I experimented once upon a time. It was more of a cry for help than anything else. *smiles wryly* So, I don't really discriminate. I used to have a family member that was homosexual. He was a good man and my second cousins miss their brother every time his birthday and death day comes around. He had AIDS back in a time that the disease wasn't really understood and died from it, unfortunately. I'd give almost anything to have met him.

And that whole thing you said, Div, works for everything sadly.

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:28 PM

That's terrible to hear!

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:32 PM

Sad music + Sad story
u___u
That's so tragic.

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:32 PM

I remember him every time I eat a fried cheese stick, ironically enough. My second cousin told me how much he loved them and every time I see them on the menu, I think of him, too.

His dad didn't really understand how Buddy, his (at the time) only son, could be homosexual. It caused a rift (as it wasn't as socially acceptable back in those days where I am which is, sadly, only a quarter of a century ago). The rift didn't stop the grief, though, that his entire family felt at his passing. He was such a good guy from what I heard.

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:33 PM

Yeah... Unacceptable tends to break families.

Shenandoah 08-11-2011 10:34 PM

*groans* I didn't mean to be depressing. *headdesk* I think of him fondly and even though the story is sad, I know he would have been a good friend to me as I grew up had we had the chance. I get along pretty damn good with his elder sister and she said that I sometimes remind her of him.

Divinitate 08-11-2011 10:36 PM

I've noticed in the US it is highly unacceptable to be different still in most places. Someone I watch on YouTube got fired from his job because he's a transman. Its.... disturbing. But one day things will be proper and as they should be.

Alexander Linden 08-11-2011 10:39 PM

Shenandoah - Well the thought bugs me. One of my uncles has AIDs. He seems to be fine though. He's a Buddhist monk and seems to be living a good life. I admire him very much.

Div - Wait, what? That's really sad. I know some states are trying to put laws in place that are against such discrimination. I hope they stick soon!
