Phoned stepmom, got the answering machine. Oh well. Brownie points for doing it. :). A few years back I painted a card for my mother and wrote a little poem in it. Can't remember the poem now, just a short little thing poking a bit of fun at standard mother's day greeting cards.

Now I'm wishing I brought my paints with me to the farm here.

That's probably about as good as I could do drawing people, DK. I'm more of an animal or abstract wierdness person myself.

I love drawing abstract weirdness. but I suck at animals. I'm not half bad at people in general, but I fail at hands and, usually, feet.

I always look for a way to hide hands and feet if I can. I'm getting better though. Mostly it's sizing I mess up on but I'm getting better at referencing between hands and arms, usually by using mine while I'm drawing. Often I'll stick one hand in the post I want to use as a reference point. Must look odd to the occasional passer by.
