Hey hey. ^_^
|
The magical elf fairy granted elongated ears @0@!
Hi Pocket x3. What's up? x3 |
@Merr - The elf ears are available in Trinkets and Tresses for 2,000 au. =)
|
Yay! Ultima is alive! Did Cron leave any damage?
|
Nadda. Just changing my avi. How do I look? Its not finished yet, I have to save up.
|
xD..You definitely might want to save up, especially for special items like the DI's 83

But it doesn't look like it. Are you sure? D: Pocket: Your avatar is nice! I like it, especially with the hair. ::nods:: |
o___o I'm totally getting those next... *saving up for a desert nomad first, though* Thanks~ |
No, I'm alright. We had tea (but I was suspicious to drink it ^^; )
And Pocket's avatar is lovely~ ^^ @Merr - You are quite welcome. |
Merr:: Haha, yeah. They're pretty awesome. xD |
At least the backside is the bow in the back mount pose.
|
Kami: Ah! Okay. For some reason I was thinking cape and was like... no. D: |
Thanks guys. ^_^ I'm going to add lil gray wings then I'm not sure what else..
|
Something grey/silver on your head? Maybe the Nocturnalis Harvest circlet I'm wearing, if you can afford it. And maybe a silver or black necklace ^^;

I actually think those wings would compliment your avatar very nicely. (: If only we had a grey halo or something.. I don't think there is too much to add on the head that's that color. D: |

How much are those? |

2k-2.2k |
I can get that in a day or two. ^_^
|
Awesome! =D I think Cazz is selling, but you'll have to check to be sure. |
I will defiantly do that. ^_^
|
Yup, Cazzidy has one up for sale. :3 |
Yay! Correctness! xD(?) |

Lol, don't say that to me. I'll suggest so much more. XD (Yet surprisingly I don't visit the suggestion thread. LOL.) |
More head items in general (That aren't dominating) would be the most awesome thing ever o__o |
I would actually love more eyes as well. Eyes that are just slightly wider and a little more crazed. Then a smile to go along with it, showing the teeth, but not becoming overbearing. ::is a little insane:: What? I like my avatars to have a little insanity in them! ::pouts:: (I need to learn pixeling so I can turn in some ideas.) >_< |
Pixeling isn't too hard. Just do your normal paint/CG stuff and give it a pixel border (1 pixel pencil). Or you can do it the other way around.
I want to do hats..but there is the lack of a clipping code. I hate it when hair pokes out in places they shouldn't Dx |
Chinchi: Ugh, so do I. Thank god, an artist who has the same quirks as me. xD Edit; What do you mean ad a pixel border? o: |

@Fallen: Like this (though this is zoomed at 600x the actual size)
http://i51.tinypic.com/2ahzg8w.jpg left doesn't have a pixel border. middle has a pixel border, but it's not in the proper coloration. right is the correct border and coloration. I usually pixel border my stuff in black color, so I know where my pixels are going. Then I lock the transparency on the pixel border layer and recolor it. Not all of the artists on this site actually use this method though, and just use a quick brush along the outer edges. |
Ah, okay. ::nods:: The problem I have is my pixels are too big. D: I've tried to pixel over certain things here only to find my lowest setting is still too big. >_< |
I normally start my images at 3 times the size. So since it starts off at 300 pixels in height, I do the majority of the work in 900 pixels in height. If you have photoshop, there's a feature in the 'image size' options. After you've opened up a file with the avatar base, go to 'Image' and select 'image size'. Under 'resample image', select 'nearest neighbor'. And move it from 300 pixels in height to 900 pixels in height. That way, it doesn't blur the base as it resizes it. --And you do the same process when you shrink it back down.
|
I have Gimp, but I can investigate and see if I can find that. ::new to the thing:: |
ouo Trisphee is tool shaded, though, isn't it? |
It is tool shaded. But the outlining is pure pixeling. That's why it has the rough edges.
I don't know if gimp has something like that @0@...*is too lazy to go to her other laptop*. My other lappie has gimp on it. |
Oh... o,o Alrighty then! The Harvest Moon background has a bit of a fuzzy edge, so I didn't notice the hard edges on anything else xD;
|
Uck. Sounds complicated. ::will just need to take classes or something:: >_< |
I've never attempted tool shading, but I've been pixeling for at least ... six..? years. @_@ Imo, it's way easier (lol how do I know? >A>). Total control over everything you're doing xD;
|
Some of the items don't have hard edges, especially those with auras, like those floating balls x'D.... Harvest moon should have the edges @0@!... *is curious* I'm going to look into that later xD
Pixeling isn't bad once you get into it. Nobody else uses my method (resizing the base and doing the art from there). I do it because my photoshop plus my tablet make it impossible to put in tiny details with brushes that are less than 5 pixels. |
Oh.. I'd just zoom in, not resize. xwx But I guess.. I do that while making a squiby pet. It makes everything purdy~ ... In that case, I have tool shaded things before. o__o |
