Ooooooooo Angel remember no single word posting.

Fey 06-01-2011 09:00 PM

soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo a needle pulling thread I need to start on my next round o' stuff, what should I do first(for me at least) a pretty suit, a fancy dress or another blasted kimono?

Funkduder 06-01-2011 09:01 PM

um...what do you mean? (Here in Trisphee or in real life; what is this for?)

Fey 06-01-2011 09:03 PM

LOL on here I can make whatever I can think of, but no in real life I'm a cosplayer/costumer, I've those things(plus others) to make for myself, just not sure what to start on.

Funkduder 06-01-2011 09:10 PM

Well then >] What material do you have.

Fey 06-01-2011 09:14 PM

I have all the material. Ever. I tend to stockpile like there will one day be a fabric shortage and I'll be able to save the world if I have enough of it.....

Funkduder 06-01-2011 09:18 PM

oooo. That's interesting....well, it seems like you alreaedy have a Kimono, so that's out....between a fancy dress and a pretty suit, I would go with...? Actually, what would I go with? Is there much of a difference?

Fey 06-01-2011 09:26 PM

LMAO I already have a lot of everything! And the differences are the characters...image times! big fancy dress is actually sort of huge, and will be worked on while working on other things, but might be started first..... Pretty suit will be multi purposed so I have a custom fitted suit for life. other kimono gets me a head start on a group thing that may or may not happen.... And that's just the tip of my iceberg...scary.
So yeah, more just wishy-washy on what I'm gonna start first....

Funkduder 06-01-2011 09:29 PM

What type of Kimono are you going for, then? I know that kimonos can get pretty heavy, depending on how you make it. Are you going for a more simple one like in the picture, on one more like this: http://www.japanikuiku.com/wp-conten.../03/kimono.jpg

Fey 06-01-2011 09:33 PM

I'm literally making those three specific outfits. The first is Queen Esther Blanchette, the second is Duchess Catherine Sforza, the third is Twilight Suzuka.

Hiccup 06-01-2011 09:39 PM

Haven't been to a cosplay convention yet, but it's infinitely more likely that the better I become at sewing, the sooner I'll be out having fun. From what I've seen in pictures, looks like everyone has a blast.

Fey: Have fun with Esther, I like her too so I bet you're going to really enjoy the part.

Fey 06-01-2011 09:40 PM

the sad, sad thing is...I hate Esther as a character...but I WANT that dress like a crazed weasel wants...uhm...cookies.

Funkduder 06-01-2011 09:43 PM

Or like a Taiki-mon wants cookies kukuku. But anyways, I'd do the Kimono first, since it looks enjoyable to where, and it's pretty easy.

Fey 06-01-2011 09:45 PM

LOL easy is relative, I presented them together as they're about the same 'difficulty' for me...for some reason kimono are just blasted out of my skill set for 'fast and easy'. But I'm sorta leaning towards it as well, mostly cause, well, no idea, just am LOL

Funkduder 06-01-2011 09:47 PM

Well that sounds like a good a reason as any.

Fey 06-01-2011 09:54 PM

now if only two references would agree as to what the stupid thing is supposed to look like...guess I'm gonna have to go watch OS again....
